I'm not sure why this Outback has such low ratings. We came here after visiting Sesame Place because the food lines there were too long, and the AC wasn't cool enough on a sunny day. While looking for other food options, we decided to stop in--and honestly, this was the best Outback I've been to. I've only been to Outback locations in New York before, so this one really surprised me. We planned on grabbing a quick bite, so we ordered two items from the lunch menu: the Alice Springs Chicken and the Outback Burger. Both came out perfectly. The chicken was flavorful and came with mushrooms and cheese, and the burger was great as well. I also really appreciated how attentive the waitstaff was. I was traveling with my 18-month-old, and he enjoyed the mashed potatoes and some of the chicken from my plate. The servers brought over crayons and even a to-go cup filled with water for him, which was very thoughtful. We were in Philadelphia for two days, and this was by far our best meal. Well Outback is one of my favorite restaurants. My go to steak place for sure. This Oxford valley (fairless hills) location has been coined "the special" outback due to bizarre occurances that I've dealt with there. Rarely ever had an issue in Bensalem, willow grove etc. I'm not a "Karen" either that complains about every little thing. However, this past Tuesday I had the worst experience ever at a restaurant. Walk in 7 pm, 15-20 min wait altho the place was maybe 25% full (short staff, so people wait unnecessarily to simply sit down) it took every bit of 20 mins). Well we were seated at a small table and finally served. I ordered steak medium rare. I get filet which is the priciest item on the menu. It comes out half hour later and it's well done. Badly well done. I tell the server, she saunters it to the back. I wait 25 more minutes... to receive the exact piece of steak I just cut into. It was REHEATED and given back. It was like a prank. The table next to us literally asked if they heard the situation right. Meat OVERCOOKED should be taken back replaced and probably taken off the bill. Instead I was embarrassed and felt like not a person cared. The waitress said the manager would come over, but of course that didn't happen. They didn't even offer a dessert lol. He said it was good and I take his word because he is a food (and beverage) connoisseur. A warm loaf of bread and a cup of butter was delivered to our table as we looked at the menu. That was a surprising treat. We ordered the Mac and Cheese bites as a starter (as recommended by our waitress). These were good but I think I should have gone with my gut and ordered the Aussie Cheese Fries. I was craving the salty bacon and ouey-gouey cheese covered fries. They were my favorite as a kid. Next time. My nephew enjoyed the 13oz Ribeye steak and he ordered double Mash(ed potatoes) as his two sides. The steak was large, buttery and cooked to perfection (medium rare). I ordered the Sirloin and Bloomin' Chicken combo with fried onions and fried mushrooms (a double up charge) with a side of Aussie fries and a side of asparagus. The steak was lean and delicious (med. rare). I truly enjoyed every bite. The chicken was crisp and deep fried and I enjoyed the chicken and accompanying sauce (I believe it was a chipotle mayo). The asparagus was grilled and flavorful. The fries arrived late to the party but the restaurant manager was happy to bring them to our table. I would return to Outback Steakhouse (on payday maybe or to celebrate a special occasion ) because they serve great food in an inviting atmosphere and with great service. The rest of my meal was very good after they replaced the chicken When the servers came over, we told them (someone shadowing) that our two guests just became US citizens. We went to Outback Fairless Hills, PA for our usual Friday outing and come to find out they no longer have Pork Chops on the menu. I ordered a Prime Rib, medium and it came out blood rare and cold. This place is a joke. I ordered the 13 ounce ribeye and shrimp on the Barbie and a blooming onion. Never mind what the rest of the table ordered. Let's start with the blooming onion. $12 for an onion ok fine. I asked for extra sauce maybe 2 tablespoons a $3 dollar charge. Now the entree. $36 dollars for a 13 ounce steak and 4 (baby sized shrimp) probably 21/25 count size. Ok it it what it is. Waitress asked if I'd like mushrooms and onions I say sure. When I get my check they charged an extra $4 dollars for onions and another $4 for mushrooms. The waitress never mentioned it's an extra charge nor did she mentioned it was an extra charge for extra sauce for the blooming onion. So in total I paid a $140 for 2 burgers w fried grill cheese with fries chicken fingers with a baked potato the steak entree and a blooming onion and 5 sodas. For the quality of the food and what we ordered the price was outrageous. This place SUCKS and will never get another dollar of my money. read more

Hadn't been to an Outback for close to 15 years and wasn't interested in going back because of multiple previous bad experiences. However, I received a gift card over the holidays and figured we'd give it a shot. It was our first visit to this location. We arrived at about 5:30pm on a Friday night to a packed parking lot. Was concerned about a wait, but we were seated immediately. The restaurant was decorated with an Australian theme as you would expect - there was music playing in the background and between that and the ambient sounds of the restaurant, I never thought it was too loud or overbearing. Our server came by quickly and took our drink orders which were 2 diet sodas with a lemon. The sodas came back quickly minus the lemons, which wasn't a big deal - as it turns out that was the only real hiccup I had with the meal as a whole. We ordered wings for an appetizer, which came out hot. They were a decent size, juicy and had a nice peppery flavor. Burger was cooked to temperature at medium, the fries were hot and crispy and the toppings were fresh. There was also a decent amount of fries on the plate. We also had a ribeye, cooked precisely to medium rare. The loaded baked potato and asparagus were also very good. The finish was a slice of cheesecake with raspberry topping, split 2 ways. No complaints. This Outback trip not only met but exceeded expectations and I'm glad we went. For an area where the dining options are limited outside of the usual chains near big box stores, the Outback, at least for this visit, was done just right. read more

Me and hubby had such a great brunch at the other Outback that we decided to take our daughter to Outback of Oxford Valley PA. The moment we enter, we were seated immediately(Yay no wait). Our waiter came after 10 minutes and took our drinks and appetizers. I wanted to order the Rum Punch but they didn't have any so I got the Strawberry Sangria and the Blackberry Sangria instead. If you like fruity drinks, then these two are a MUST(trust me, you won't regret)! For appetizer, we stick with the Steak Cheese Dip. The chips are a bit well-done but it was still tasty, at least my little one loves it lol. As for entrees, me and hubby decided to stick with what we got at the other Outback, Sirloin and Lobster. Our little one want pasta dish, so we got her chicken and shrimp alfredo(I believe that's what is called), btw it is not kids menu. She is a very picky eater, kids menu items are no longer appetizing to her‍. We finished our dinner with some desserts. I got the Chocolate Fondue flights and my daughter got the ice cream. I am writing this review as a door dasher for anyone considering to order from this restaurant through a delivery app, for anyone delivering through a delivery app, and truthfully, anyone considering to get a job at this establishment, for that matter. A few delivery drivers and myself were standing in here, each waiting 20-30 minutes past when our delivery orders were supposed to be ready and delivered by. We were chatting back and forth about our frustrations with picking up orders at Outback Steakhouse as it's a regular occurrence with this location. One of the servers overheard us talking and to sympathize with us let us know that their managers have them believing that the restaurant makes absolutely no money off of deliveries and that they are told "not to care about delivery drivers" which is why we are always having to wait. It was nice to have this confirmation and to know that this place will never be worth picking up orders from. It was also highly concerning. Not only is this affecting our time and income, but more importantly they are making their customers wait over an hour past when they were supposed to have their ordered delivered, as a result. I deliver on the side and have been managing restaurants for 15+ years. Restaurants absolutely make a profit on deliveries through apps like Door Dash. Yes, Door Dash takes a portion, which is frustrating, even for us as drivers! But you are in the business of customer service. Don't offer delivery at your restaurant if you don't want to respect the delivery drivers or your customers who are ordering through those apps. As a manager, this behavior is horrifyingly distasteful and disturbing. It's not hard to manage a restaurant so that it can handle delivery orders. I feel for the kids that work here and are being forced and guided to treat customers and the like in this manner. We dined at Outback's this past Saturday around 8pm. Me and my daughter both got the Victorias Filet, Broccoli and Baked Potato. By 1am we were both vomiting. The vomiting continued for over 24 hours. Then diarrhea started and has been going on for the last 24 hours. I contacted the restaurant on Sunday to advise them that we were food poisoned and it took forever for the manager to pick up the phone. Maybe others were reporting issues as well. No one has and it's been 3 days. We ended up not being able to go to a concert we purchased tickets for. I've been out of work the past 2 days. My daughter took one of her final exams extremely sick. We haven't eaten for 3 days. I'm not one to complain-ever!! Or send food back or ask for money back. But this needs to be put out there. They obviously didn't have the meat stored properly or the vegetables weren't washed-I don't know. We dine there almost every Saturday. We haven't been overly pleased with them lately but never did we expect to get this sick after eating there and then to feel blown off. Basically go to the ER and let us know if it's food poisoning. Four stars for being exactly what it is - a midscale franchise restaurant that spits out a halfway decent steak. If you skip the Code Blue Bloomin' Onion gimmick and can forgive the over-the-top Aussie stereotyping most menu items (especially the Mac & Cheese) are better than you'd expect. You're paying for a good meal not a great one so if you can keep your Peter Lugar steakhouse fantasies in check, an enjoyable few hours paced by excellent service will be had. And for the last time, this not the "put a few shrimp on the barbie" joint, that distinction goes to Australian Tourism who unfortunately sold far more shrimp than vacation packages. Was here Saturday at dinner time with my boyfriend and the young hostess with the headset on was the absolute rudest person I have encountered in a restaurant, ever. If you hate your job so much, just quit!! When we sat down my boyfriend even said to me "do you know her from somewhere? Seems like she really hates you." He's also the kinda guy that never notices things like this - but he did here. I don't even remember if my meal was good because I was angry the entire time I ate. On the way out I made it a point to say to her "have a nice night" and got no response, just a look like I'm less than her kinda look. Husband and I just returned from a Valentine's Day lunch. We decided to give Outback a spin - and found out that today was the first day in many months that they opened for lunch again! We opted to keep things modest and order the sirloin lunch, a 6 oz. grilled sirloin portion which came with one side. My side: Caesar Salad, Husband's side: French fries. Husband also ordered a rum and coke. Me, a decaf coffee. Every part of our meal was spot on. The sirloin portions were medium rare, as ordered, the seasoning was flavorful, the meal was hot. The Caesar salad was generously dressed with plenty of shredded parmesan cheese on the top. The fries were hand cut. The coffee was fresh. The drink was to my husband's liking. The sizes of the portions were perfect for us. The price for this lunch was certainly reasonable. What kept us from stopping in for the past few years? Our general preference for supporting restaurants owned by members of the community, plus the relatively low rating on Yelp(!) We're glad we ignored the Yelp rating this time! We were pleasantly surprised this new restaurant on a Saturday night worked so well. Large crowd waiting for tables (we were told 40-50 minutes) were served barby shrimp "take two" and shortly after blooming onions. We were seated in 15 minutes and greeted by a lovely server who maintained her good humor throughout the meal. The place was jammed but our server kept us in water, bread and whatever we needed until the food came. It did take a bit long for food, but when it came it was pipping hot and excellent. My companion ordered medium and I medium rare for our filets. My friend's was definitely medium rare but she ate it and loved it. The manager came and talked with us and we were happy to give him our thoughts. On a cold Saturday night when food is hot and perfectly served... it is a hit. Our server even took the time to talk to us just a bit. I will say several people sent back steaks that's were underdone. The manager spoke with each. Decent food but their marketing is misleading and turns me off to this place. Nearly everybody at the restaurant. Got the same offer via email and was pissed off when it turned out to be misleading. They're OK come in for free blooming onion and then they sent you another email to tell you at $15 in rewards and then when you come in and try to get the free blooming onion, they won't give you any of your rewards points. It doesn't say anything about that in the yard and everybody was really annoyed, so yes you got us in the restaurant but no, we won't be back. read more

She was so ignorant, we actually had to tell her to leave. As leaving, attempted to speak to her again, again another attitude ... yes I told her she was not good at her job, she sucked. Would give them 0 stars if I could. Every time I go in there, the girls they hired must not have passed grade school. When they tell you something will be 5 min, they really mean about 30-45 min at the very least. They have no concept for time of any kind so please be very aware of this. When you ask them questions then they come up with every excuse in the book rather than telling you the truth so you can clearly see where their priorities stand.
