COCONUT SHRIMP WITH LOADED BAKED POTATO.

Today's visit to Outback for lunch, was with a group of more than 30 people. Large groups provide a different kind of challenge. We were seated and greeted promptly. They were expecting us. Drink orders were taken. Bread and butter weren't far behind. The servers were fast and efficient. Our group was thanked by the manager for coming. They have a special going on now the Aussie 3-course meal which includes soup or salad, an entrée, and dessert. I opted for coconut shrimp, baked potato, salad, and dessert was cheesecake. The food arrived HOT!!! My biggest complaint is food being served not hot ... they aced it. Five stars is because everything was perfect. To quote a famous line .... I'll be back ......

Hubby and I decided to go to eat at this Outback located in Inverness Florida for our date night because they were offering some new menu items that he wanted to try. Our waitress was very nice and extremely efficient with all the tables she was serving. We had no complaints and all I heard was nice compliments from everyone else. We were contemplating between two appetizers - the original Bloomin' Onion and their new Bloomin' Fried Shrimp. The Bloomin' Onion won out just by a small margin. We were very pleased with our choice. A nice sized Onion cut into petals and dipped in their special batter then deep fried and served with their spicy bloom sauce. Very delicious and additive. I was going to order their new menu item : spicy jammin' meatloaf but at the last second changed my mind to Alice Springs Chicken. My two sides were fresh veggies and their seasoned rice. The Alice Springs Chicken is a boneless skinless chicken breast topped with sliced fresh mushrooms, bacon, honey mustard, Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese. The chicken was cooked perfectly : moist and tender and had a great flavor. It was a nice sized portion too. My fresh veggies were sautéed zucchini, yellow squash and carrots in a light sauce. Very good, tender but not mushy - they were a great side to my chicken. I also really enjoyed their seasoned rice. I couldn't find any fault with the flavor or texture. My hubby tried their new menu item Bloomin' Fried Chicken. A boneless, skinless chicken breast hand battered in their bloomin' Onion batter and fried until golden brown. Served with their bloom sauce and two sides. Hubby chose a Caesar Salad and a baked potato with butter and sour cream. He loved the bloomin' fried chicken so much he said he had wanted a bigger portion. His sides were excellent also especially the Caesar salad. Their dressing is one of the best he ever tasted, and after giving me a bite I would have to agree with him. Our meals were accompanied by a small hot loaf of pumpernickel bread with butter that we cut ourselves - scrumptious. We washed all of our food down with multiple glasses of unsweetened ice tea which our waitress kept on top of. A great date night meal - excellent company, scrumptious food and wonderful service!

Used dishes piling up on the table. These were left after I asked for them and others to be removed.

We were invited here for the soft opening when proceeds benefitted KCI. During that time our experience was amazing. This time was the total opposite! Service was mediocre , at best. The time from when we were seated to when we got our meal was an hour and then the order wasn't correct. Used dishes were left on our table and A FEW of them were only removed when I asked for them to be taken away. We won't be back.

It's a charming old Florida house converted into separate dining rooms/areas. Our server was the bartender/server for our table so we kept our orders basic. Dirty Martini, House Cab and House Chardonnay and a cranberry and Vodka. Loved the interesting dates wrapped in bacon app. Hubby ordered the twin tails. They were healthy tails I must say and I had the Delmonico. Food was all terrific. Will go again for sure.

I started w/ a glass of sangria (Which was excellent!). I'd highly suggest trying the sangria! I also Ordered a bottle Pere' water. We were given a bread, which was ok...I asked for some oil & balsamic, or a pesto...it appeared I was an alien by the servers reaction "we got olive oil and butter". So I stepped that. We ordered our starters and knew our mains, the server said she delay putting in the ticket until we were close to finishing our apps, she did a great job, it was seamless! Apps were scalloped scallops and figs wrapped in bacon, then smoked or grilled. The figs were delicious, the scallops needed seasoning and was ok. Ok Ceaser, could have used a better dressing, more authentic style would be nice...but it was pretty bland, but good ingredients. I ordered the pork shop w/ gravy (ask for the gravy, You want the gravy). My wife wanted prime rib, but that was off the menu tonight. Instead a NY strip prepared basics the same... She wasn't impressed. I thought it was OK, I think she had her heart set on the prime rib. Upon finishing, the server came, cleared the table and offered a check and no mention of deserts This is an honest review, not 5* but a good meal!

Even without a reservation, the hostess seated us within five minutes, which was a fantastic start. To help us beat the Florida heat, they thoughtfully brought us iced water right away without us even asking. We started with the cocktails: I ordered the 'Firefly' and my friend got the 'I'm Trini & I know it'--both were wonderfully light and refreshing. For appetizers, we went with the Foie Gras (GF) and the Scallops. Both were exceptionally succulent, delicious, and plated with the fine-dining presentation they deserved. Since our first round went so well, we ordered a second. My friend loved the Firefly so much they got another, while I tried the 'Meet me in Maui,' which I thoroughly enjoyed. The second Firefly wasn't quite as spot-on as the first--perhaps a shift change behind the bar--but we still enjoyed them all. With our second drinks, we ordered the main course: lamb chops with a side of vegetables, cooked medium-rare. We planned to share the meal and specifically asked for the mushrooms on the side since they weren't gluten-free. Unfortunately, when the dish arrived, the mushrooms were placed right on top of the vegetables beneath the lamb. The server was extremely apologetic when we pointed it out (likely a simple miscommunication given that we were sharing), so we just picked them off and placed them on my plate. A quick note on the lamb: we ordered medium-rare, but next time I'll probably go for medium-well, as it was a bit too tender for our preference--though still remarkably tasty. Surprisingly, the vegetables ended up being the unexpected star of the plate! Lastly we ordered desserts, They got the Creme Brulee (GF) and I got the Chocolate Hazelnut Cake of which I tried both, and they were exquisite. I wish I had a larger portion. Especially of the hazelnut cake with shavings of coconut on it. It came out looking like a piece of art when placed on the table. Despite the minor hiccup with the mushrooms, the service was wonderfully prompt, and the overall experience was fantastic. The ambiance is seductive, attractive, and features a gorgeous artistic mural--making it an ideal spot for a sophisticated adult night out. (They also have a private space across the street for larger parties and events.) We were both completely satisfied and will definitely be returning, either together or separately, to try more of their incredible menu. Highly recommended!" Sorry didn't get the lamb chops and dessert , was to engaged in conversation but definitely worth getting.

Hard to match my previous escargot plates in other restaurants. The other appetizer was gator bites. I liked that! For our main entree we shared a seafood combo but you had to choose from fried, boiled or blackened and we chose fried they couldn't accommodate having half the plate cooked a different way so was just too much fried seafood. The platter brings shrimp, white fish, scallops, à crab cake, and oysters. The shrimp were big and tasty, and the white fish was delicious scallops were also good but the rest not so much. It's hard to eat all fried and all seasoned the same except the crab cake ( a lot of veggies in it and not enough crab so you don't really eating à crab cake) I hope this helps
