I want to bump up my rating by a star because I felt like staff really try hard here and are great. It's been a few years since we were here and I wanted to give it another shot. They updated there menus to combos so I got the Alice springs chicken and steak. It comes with two premium sides, the sweet potato was great. The fries I felt weren't right out of that fryer. I think the kids menu is a great deal for what you get and what the cost is. We asked for a booth and got one. Inside is clean and a little bit updated. I picked up my dry cleaning and decided a visit to Outback would be great for some protein. I would recommend not sitting in the bar area booths. Our server was the bartender as well. I'm very patient but there was only 2 people at the bar and 2 other tables, we had to flag her down for everything which was frustrating. We split wings which were ok. They were a little tough but the sauce was good. We also split the bloom burger. Again, it was ok but for a steakhouse, I expect a bit more flavor. Honestly my favorite part was the bread. We will be back, but perhaps steak instead. read more

Went to Outback for lunch after our original plans fell through. Our server was great. We started out with the trio which was great. Loved the boomerang mozzarella sticks. The cheese fries were delicious as well just wish they were a tad bit crunchier. Enjoyed my sirloin and coconut chicken, which were huge. My husband had the chicken sandwich which he said was good only complaint is he wished there was more of the sauce on it as there was very little. The boomarita was fun, loved the boomerang. Surprisingly the drinks actually had alcohol in them and weren't just mix. I feel Chaim restaurants like this can give you more juice than alcohol. read more

Rating of a "1" is a gift !. Worst food ever. Nothing like the pics on the website. Ordered 2 steak sandwiches, one with fries and the other with side salad. Sandwich was stale bread, some shavings of "mystery meat", and old tomatoes. (Wife actually threw hers out after 1 bite.) Fries were mushy and salad was wilted, old, and thrown together. Got stuck in this closure on Route 80 traffic jam and needed someplace to unwind for a bit. Haven't been to Outback in forever so figured I'd check this one out. The subliminal messaging in their tv commercials must be doing their job because well, here I am Lol.    And here comes the complimentary Bread too plus let's start with an order of their delicious Coconut Shrimp which just happens to arrive perfectly right after Drinks hit the table. Now we're talking about the main course and I don't know about you, but I'm Shaking Hands with Sirloin Steak, Lobster Tail, and Asparagus. Want some melted butter for dipping? Yes Please And Thank You.  YUMMMMMMERS !!   Everything was totally spot-on, service was terrific and timely and you really can't ask for anything more than that. The decor was nice, but the first table was not clean thoroughly (a little sticky), so we got another table upon request. During this visit as with most, we've had great food and service; the waiter was Luke and he did a good job staying on top of the drinks and other requests. For your entree ...just mix it up... you can't go wrong regardless of what you select. The usual app is the Bloomin' Onion and the usual dessert is the Chocolate Thunder from Down Under! read more

The overall experience was great but I must express my disappointment with the mashed potatoes. The texture was excessively dry and crumbly, which took away from the meal. First of all, don't play any games on the pay pad unless you are OK with paying $2.99 Don't remember seeing anything that said it cost to play. We sat at booth #1 which was the most uncomfortable booth I have ever sat in, You have to squeeze in and it was like sitting on a wooden bench with no padding. I had the steak and chicken combo, the steak was 1 step lower than tough, cooked medium. The chicken was very good. The fries extremely salty but I like that and the broccoli barely cooked like I like it. My wife enjoyed the burger. I had a Dine Rewards free desert which the server said I either took the free desert or used my AARP 10% discount not both! I took the desert which was a huge piece of chocolate cake. Very Good. Mashed potatoes were ... weird. They were oddly solid for being mashed potatoes, I was able to stick a fork in it and pick the whole thing up. Steak and broccoli were good though. Only other complaint was the server. We had to ask for bread like thrice. Apparently they were cooking new loafs, which I guess justifies it. Also, he asked if I wanted a lime with my Coke Zero, which I never heard of but I said sure. It came out with a lemon instead, which I would've expected anyway. When he saw this he exclaimed "oh man, they didn't give you a lime". The next Coke I had did have a lime in it, so he definitely pushed the message across. I told him I really didn't care, just odd idk. Pretty dark lighting in the joint, but I personally like that. If you want to see your food clearly, perchance bring a flashlight. read more

Have not been to an Outback for many many years & decided to go here for dinner. What a find! We sat at the bar and the bartender was great - friendly and informative. My husband got the seared prime rib with horseradish sauce and the salad. I just got wings. All of our food was excellent! This place is very popular - we saw tons of people trying to get in on a Saturday night. The interior is dated but that won't deter us from coming back! Nice large parking lot too! read more

After not having been to Outback in many years, I've now been there twice within the past few weeks and can say that I am very impressed! The FIRST time back (in late June) was pretty good all around, but there was just a hiccup or two such as no silverware. Our server was really nice and the food was outstanding! I'm a tough one to please with steak but I was blown away at how perfectly cooked and flavored my filet mignon was! To drink I had the Down Under Mule and baby, it not only kicked like one but was incredibly refreshing and on point. Left feeling really happy after experiencing a definite improvement in every way here. ***4/5 this visit*** BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!!!! HAHAHA (BUT SERIOUSLY). Our Waitress Arianna Was very pleasant. She was quick and returned to our table often to check on our status. My Bloomin Chicken was tasty moist and hot. Broccoli was cooked aldente just the way I like it. My wife had the surf and turf with roasted Brussel sprouts. The lobster was very good as well as the Brussel sprouts, the steak. If I was a waiter working here I'd be pissed for how much business is turned away. My Dad who was with me made a joke saying that they should put a money chime (cha-Ching) at the front door for the amount of people who walked in and straight back out. I'm not sure if the front knew how call a heads worked but this is the first time I've seen it like this. When I walked in they told us a 40min wait but there were more than 20+ tables available. It seemed anyone who called ahead, their table was reserved. We ended up being seated at the same table that was empty since we got there. And a number of tables stayed empty from the time we were seated to the time we finished. Food good as always, but the front really dropped the ball for me on how they were managing this. read more

Just got home from outback. My wife an I hadn't been here in a very long time . Restaurant is clean and nice decor. Service was very good. I got a chicken Caesar salad that came without any dressing on it. My wife got a shrimp and steak dish with mashed potato's. She ask for them with just cheese and they came out with sour cream and bacon. The wait fixed the issues but it wasn't that busy to be having stuff come out wrong. read more

I really want to like this restaurant, I do. I've been a customer since they opened up years back. Every time we go there, it's pretty much on the family's insistence. They just love it, I feel it's fair at best. My wife wanted to go there last night, so the two of us headed out. My favorite part is actually the bread that you're presented with as you sit down. My goodness, I wish this was available at my supermarket, along with that warmed up butter. Just amazing, and we always seem to eye up and fight for that last piece. Bring a decent sized table full of folks, they will offer more it seems. The wedge salad is wonderful as well, very tasty and chock full of high quality chunky blue cheese. We had two appetizers, the Blooming Onion pedals and a newer cheese/steak/chips thing. Onion pedals are always great, and much neater than the oily onion itself. You get all the goodness, without that moist bottom mess. I wasn't a big fan of the steak appy, as it seemed to be centered around a liquid cheese and not the real thing. I never order a steak at Outback, always go for burger or similar. Last night, I decided to buck that trend and went for the $29.99 Bone in Ribeye. It was cooked to order, no issue, and came with two sides. My real issue is with the amount of seasoning that accompanies the majority of their dishes. I've avoided a steak there for a decade because I always felt my $30 dinner would be a salt fast, and last night was. I didn't bother with A1 sauce, it had all the sodium it needed. Both appy's were also over seasoned as well. I know this is a franchise, so I appeal to the local owner to please taste your own food as it leaves the kitchen. Your menu is great, the restaurant is always spotless, but dang - hold the salt just a bit. If the strategy is to make me drink more, it's just a headache for your staff cause I'm ordering more water at no charge at that point! Just silly, please taste your food. The staff are always the most attentive and nice folks around. Courteous, on top of their tables. Last night we sat in Dan's section, and he was just wonderful. Kudos to management for selecting and retaining the right talent to represent your establishment. We will be back, but I won't ever order another $30 overly salted steak again. The proprietor -Mendi- is absolutely amazing. He gives excellent customer service and has a way of pleasing kids. He did share that he has some of his own. So, I'm guessing that's where the experience comes into play. Last night my server was good; but I've had one who was so amazing the time before last that we tipped above our standard 20 percent. The food overall has always been very tasty. I don't believe we've ever had one complaint concerning the food. I've frequented this location on a number of occasions. Issues: The last time I ordered takeout was an absolute disaster. I waited for about 45 mins to 1 hour at the outback after placing my order about a half an our prior to my arrival. I haven't ordered take out since. In fairness it was a Saturday night. So beware of possible extremely long wait times for takeout. Even though we were disappointed with the blooming onion (smaller and a bit soggy with oil) and the bread (was like microwaved warm bread that turned rock hard), we took that the whole family here because my steak was great and hubby's food was good too.
