Always good to get the all you can eat, soup and salad lunch deal. But I went for the lunch steak and salad with mixed steamed vegetables. I'm so glad I didn't have to send the steak back. Texas roadhouse is notorious for having to send it back but Longhorn and Outback do a descent job on the correct temperature. The only issue we had that kinda stunk was a girl named Leo, I believe, brought out the food and asked if we needed anything and I said ketup, but never came back with it. If they ask you if you need anything else they should get it. Plus they weren't busy at all I think 5 tables had people sitting at them. By the time the waitress returned I was nearly done and didn't need the ketup anymore. Our waitress was awesome but a meeting with the food runner should be addressed.

Excellent service from Taylor. Steak was perfect, prepped w/o salt, as requested. Crab avocado appetizer was great! Glad we stopped here!

We started with the shrimp salad on toast points, and I had an outstanding espresso martini. The appetizer was tasty, although it was very creamy such that I could not visibly recognize the shrimp. For dinner, I ordered the seafood Alfredo, and my wife ordered the market-price "Lump Crabcake" entrée. The Alfredo was very good, although the scallops were bay scallops rather than sea scallops, and for the price I expected a little more seafood. Her entrée included vegetables, while I had to order mine separately as an additional side. The biggest disappointment was the crabcakes. Despite being promoted as "lump crabcake," they appeared to be mostly filler with finely shredded crab, with perhaps 15% lump crabmeat. The flavor was good, but not exceptional, and I found the name of the entrée misleading. I am accustomed to a lump crabcake being predominantly lump crab. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding, which seemed unsure whether it wanted to be bread pudding or apple pie. It was fine, but not especially memorable. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere, received excellent service, and thought much of the food was good to very good. However, the crabcakes were quite disappointing, especially given the description and market price. Our bill before tip came close to $150, which was a bit of a shock considering the quality and portions. Calvin and the espresso martini were definite highlights, but the crabcakes did not live up to expectations.

I got Smoked Salmon & Toast, which was alright. It had bacon on it, even though that wasn't in the description, and the lady behind me also got surprise bacon on her order - she was upset because she is a vegetarian. The egg cloud wasn't as soft as I expected, but the everything bagel seasoning on it was good. The avocado on the toast wasn't fresh though -some kind of spread that had a weird after-taste. I ate most of his chips. He loved his messy Cheshire burger - (fried egg on it) and the biggest slice of tomato we'd ever seen. The parking was excellent.

The sausage, however, wasn't really my favorite and just didn't suit my taste. What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere. The restaurant is in a charming location near the beach, making it a relaxing place to start the day. It's beautifully decorated with a cozy, welcoming diner feel that adds to the experience. If I ever have the opportunity to visit again, I'd love to stay at the bed and breakfast. It looked incredibly charming, cozy, and like the perfect place for a peaceful getaway. Even though not everything on my plate was a hit, the warm atmosphere and lovely setting made it a place I'd happily return to.
