The manager was very nice tho I like the laid back atmosphere and the fact that people seem to be happy and enjoying their time. What happened to the portions? Not sure if everyone else has noticed but they are serving half of what they used to give. The waiter explained that they have had to do that due to the price of meat. The first time, the steak was delicious the first time. Second time however, I had so much fat on my steak that I was still hungry. My friend's fillet-mignon was barely an inch thick! Miles was our server and he gave us top-notch service, even going as far as to give us a little birthday sundae for our anniversary. He was attentive, friendly, and checked in frequently. The food was so tasty, best filet mignon I've ever had and lovely steamed lobster. The cocktails are my favorite, you can actually taste the fresh flavors of ingredients, not like it's just some mix. Nice inside & clean, great service, good menu & great food. DOG FRIENDLY so plus for us but didn't have her with us this time. Nice fresh hot bread served with the meal. My wife and her mom both got the strawberry salad which is my wife's favorite & she loves the dressing for it. Her mom really liked it. I always get the blue cheese pecan chopped salad because it's really good (but last couple of times lettuce hasn't been chopped). Not a great experience for the amount of money given to this place. Never going to this Outback or any other one at all. Had a great experience at Outback Steakhouse! I loved Outback as a kid, and I appreciate how they've modernized. Our server, Carson, was very attentive and helpful. We started with a delicious blooming onion, and my filet mignon and baked sweet potato were SUPER tasty. Plus, they have a separate gluten-free menu, so my husband, who has celiac, was able to enjoy a safe meal. Usually big chains don't cater/care about serious allergies so this was a very nice surprise and guaranteed our return. I know I know... another chain restaurant. But they do serve their purpose and honestly, Outback is one of my favorites. I'm a bit over steaks right now, but they have great ones. For me, because while I love a bloomin onion, its all about the wedge salad. Their wedge salad is my favorite wedge anywhere. Its delicious and they use great blue cheese. I like this location because its never crowded when we go which is fantastic. The service is always very attentive and the food is great. Steaks are always cooked as requested and my wedge is always super delicious. My only recommendation is that if they could just have bigger baked potatoes! They are pretty tiny. Overall, OUtback is pretty consistent across locations which is nice, but I like the lack of loudness in this one as it is usually not very full and I like the friendly services and yummy food. I really wanted to bump up the stars in this place but I found myself pushing a 3.5 stars. Our server was very nice and polite but was hard to track down. The food came out relatively quick and hot. We were seated quickly so no issues there. I think the main issue was the filet Mignon (pictured) was grossly overcooked, but still edible and the wedge salad wasn't as good as others. The baked potato was very good as were the asparagus. The lobster tail was about 2-3 oz. For $43+ one would expect a 3-4 ounce lobster tail and a close to perfectly cooked steak. In their defense trying to match expectations in a chain restaurant is difficult...but doable. Oh before I forget. The smoked Old Fashion was actually very good. Great dinner! Boyfriend and I came for a drink, the blooming onion, & a salad. Small dinner but Mustafa was the absolute most attentive server ever. Brought my drink out & our food & everything was to perfection. He gave us extra blooming sauce prior to it coming out because you can never have too much of it! He also brought us an extra bread at the end to take to go. He also wished me a happy birthday after checking my ID which was so sweet. We arrived at 6pm and were seated within five minutes... which was nice because we made a 6:15 reservation online. The diner rush was still going on, the place was packed. Service was great. Our waitress had our booth, one other booth, and a family of 10. I was kind of impressed. We started with their seared ahi and blooming onion. Five stars from everyone. My two kids (11 and 9) liked the ahi better than the onion. For Diner: My wife and I each got the center cut 6 oz. My wife went with the baked potato and seasonal vegetable (which was broccoli), and I went with mashed potatoes with the broccoli. Our kids had the Mac and Cheese, the other had the chicken strips. The only complaint came from my daughter, "The Mac and Cheese was more noodles than cheese ". Ambiance is on par with Outback steak houses; full bar with sports playing on flat screens, several high tops in the bar area, plenty of booths in the dining area, a few tables that they configure for large parties or as four tops. On this trip, they had decorations hanging for Christmas and a Gingerbread house display from a prior decorating contest. Dude they had one of the best chicken wings I've ever had and let me tell you I had many chicken wings ordered from restaurants of different cuisines, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, american, you name it. If they have chicken wings, I'll order and try them. This place made their wings so crispy and super juicy inside. They came out piping hot too! I didn't even need the sauce. They were good naked. Their steak and seafood pasta was good too. When the steak was mixed into pasta like this I didn't have much expectation. To my surprise they asked me how I'd like the steak cooked... medium. What happened to the service here? The Oceanside location was amazing and we had the same expectations here. It fell way short. We were seated right away and that was a huge plus. Then it went downhill from there. The restaurant was busy but not to the point where the servers were slammed. We thought ordering took forever but the food took over 45 mins to come. 2 salads, an appetizer, and 2 kids entrees. The only things that had to be cooked were the appetizer and the kids entrees. Why did it take so long?! If they lacked kitchen staff, they shouldn't fill out tables they couldn't accommodate. No warning that the kitchen was a little short staffed. I asked about our food and was told that it shouldn't take much longer, just another 15 mins. (!!!!) If it wasn't too late, I would've just asked for my check. But the kiddos were hungry and we would've waited longer for our food at another establishment. Never again will I go to this location. The manager there always recognizes my family, and even remembered that my mother misses a dish they used to have, saying he keeps working on the corpos above him to bring it back. I've never had a steak overcooked, always a proper rare, and perfectly seasoned. And their Bloomin' Blonde is always nice, no matter the weather. But on my visit on 4/20/24 with my mother, our server Alejandro made my day amazing.
