Went with the wife around Christmas. Ordered spinach and artichoke dip to start. Chips were burnt and second batch was extremely salty. When I originally asked for replacement chips and explained the problem to the waitress, she responded with "Well that's too bad". And walked away. Manager was able to get the chips for us. Main course was a burger for me and pasta for the wife. Bun was dry (made a clunking sound when I tapped it when my fork) and the pasta was very, very light on sauce making it dry. Stopped in for a quick dinner late on a Tuesday night with 2 others. They had steak and unlimited shrimp. All 3 of us opted for this meal. Service was super fast we got our entree quickly and the all 3 steaks were cooked exactly as ordered and shrimp refills came out fast also. Server was friendly and had a great attitude. Hands down the best experience we have had as far as fast and friendly service AND the food being just as good as the service! We were traveling with a group of 22 people and called in our order ahead of time and Haley took the time to write the name of every person in our group on a place setting and drinks, salads, meals, and service were all ready when we arrived. We visited the Sioux Falls location on Saturday 2/22 with a large party of 11. We were unable to call ahead, as there were too many parties ahead of us, but that was no problem. We were celebrating our parents' 70th birthdays and they had their hearts set on this meal. We arrived at 6pm and were quoted 1.5 hours, and also offered to split the table. We were seated in just under 1.5 hours and were given a split booth-- this worked very well for our group as we had a couple of smaller children. Upon seating we were immediately greeted and offered drinks and our order was taken in a timely manner. The food was prepared perfectly and was not delayed at all due to our large party. We were so thrilled with everything, but the thing that made our entire visit with our wait was our server!!! Chad J-- THANK YOU for being such a great, patient, funny and attentive server. Party of 4. We were seated quickly and had our drinks and appetizer ordered promptly. Salads and apps arrived and were tasty. The steaks tho? yeeeesh.. I believe one of the sirloins was a trim from around the cows knee or foot? Hips? About 60% of it was a nasty gristle thingy. Was also undercooked and VERY tough. The others seemed to be prepared as ordered but were NOT very tender. At all. And whatever they slather on the outside of the meat is stupidly hot/spicy. Now, we are used to spicy food, but this was extreme. Ended up taking over half of the uneaten steaks home in hopes that we can "fillet" the outside and enjoy them without tears in our eyes. One in our party had to use a buck knife to cut. We were NOT impressed. The server did replace the steak with the "knuckle" one but it will most likely be trimmed and the dogs will enjoy it over the next few days. Tried to eat a late dinner there this is the second bad experience in two attempts and the last. Got seated and beverages right away about 15 to twenty minutes later had to ask if we were going to get our bread. Watched our waiter wander around not doing much of anything 15 minutes later still no blooming onion. The kitchen lost our order don't you think if you put in an order for an appetizer and it doesn't come up you would check on it? So no food or onion. Then they really thought they were being gracious for not charging us for our soda and beer. Had a steak that I had to send back because it was still mooing. They were swamped, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. But, the fact remains that I had to send my steak back - something I rarely do. (The steak was good when I got it back.) After two previous let-downs, we tried for a curbside take-out order tonight. It was supposed to be ready at 4:56 PM. We pulled in about 5:02; traffic was not cooperative. A server came out a couple of minutes later to take our money, then we waited in the car for 15-20 minutes with zero contact from staff and no food. Since no one was around, we called in to speak to a manager. She put us on hold, and suddenly the server shot out of the door with our food. It had probably been sitting there the whole time, as the steaks were cold and the veggies were limping towards slimy. No bueno. Manager offered to heat the food up or to remake it, but we didn't want to die of old age in the Outback Steakhouse parking lot on 90*F day, so we took a refund instead. I decided to take my family out for a nice dinner but completely failed them by bringing them here. We were seated around 6:30pm and by 8pm still had not received our food. The waiter made an excuse that they were backed up in the kitchen but other people that arrived after us had already eaten and were leaving. I got upset and asked for a manager. She came to the table and said she would check on our food but never came back. Instead the waiter returned with food... nothing we had ordered however. Needless to say I was pissed and asked for the check for the drinks we had ordered. The waiter dismissed us saying "not to worry about it". Gee, thanks mister! I asked to speak to the manager again as we were leaving (since she never came back to our table). When she came back out all she could do was grin at me and say she understands I'm upset... turns out she could neither confirm nor deny that the waiter may have failed to turn our ticket in for our order. MY sisters& husband took us there last nite. Every thing wsgood or very good. My only complaint was the onion soup was too salty.. WE had a variety of food, 4 steaks, 1 salmon, 1 chicken& ribs and 2 sides of shrimp and a blooming onion.Eeryone was happy with food. Service was fast, good waitress, 10 minute wait for table on Fri. Not a bad place to try at least once. First issue I had was the wait when we got there, because there were several clean tables no one was sitting at scattered around the restaurant. They would sit open for 15 minutes and then have people seated at them. Didn't know why we had to wait when they had clean open tables. Our server was the bomb. She was on her A game, friendly, fast, and our drinks never got remotely close to empty and I go through drinks pretty fast. The food was excellent. My only issue was I ordered my steak rare and it ended up being medium well. If you are a steakhouse you should be able to correctly cook a steak. Even though it was overcooked it was still good and flavorful. All the other food and sides were good too. Other than our server, there was nothing extraordinary about outback. read more

We had dinner here on Mother's Day. The Onion Flower was cooked too long and in old grease. It was terrible. My 6 oz steak was 3 ozs and my daughter got sick after we ate there. I had had a bad experience over a year ago at Outback and thought we'd give it another try. Never Again. The only thing that was good was our waitress. She was pleasant. Also...we got charged $96.00 for a meal for three. We could have gone to Texas Roadhouse for less. I'd have been okay with that pricing if we were at Brazilian Grille, but not Outback. They are overpriced for crappy food. Don't waste your time or money or your stomach. We'll never go back nor recommend it to anyone. read more

Walked in to an empty host station, waited 10 minutes for host to greet us as several other workers passed by. Customers behind us tried calling on the phone And couldnt get an answer. Finally we were greeted by a very unorganized hostess, who didnt welcome us and just asked how many of us there were. She was running around trying to find a table to clean for us, and when she did seat us my seat was Covered in Crumbs. After waiting a few more minutes our server came by and Said shed be right with us, we then decided the Service was not Going to get any better and would not be worth waiting for and left.
