I fell victim to the TV advertising and went to Outback. The decor was okay and the place was clean. New girl as hostess, had to go back twice to see where we were to be seated. Server friendly enough, but she brought me the wrong order. When I ordered, I pointed to the picture of the steak with onion rings stacked on it, what ingot was steak and shrimp. I said it was okay, I would keep the shrimp. They shrimp were rubbery and seasoned with chili powder. The bread didn't have much taste, the butter did help. Caesar salad good, but extra strong garlic. My husband's asparagus was 7 spears that he had to saw back and forth to cut, it was tough. My baked potato was pretty and very good. We got the Victoria fillets, which are supposed to be the best cut. It was cooked medium and had a good flavor, but it was not a good quality meat. It was tough and had inedible gristle throughout. For some reason, they had it sitting on top of hash browns, which quickly became soggy. If you want to know what a good piece of fillet looks and tastes like, go to Hanover Meat Market at 41st and Peoria and grill the steak yourself! I was convinced my fillet was actually the center cut sirloin, it did not look like a fillet. The manager said it was definitely a fillet, it was too thick for the sirloin, it was about 5/8 inch thick. The staff was so very nice and welcoming. This had been my first time at any Outback so i was really curious as to what i would be inviting my taste buds too. My fiance had told me their good and their bread is amazing. Their bread was good, everything was delicious except my sirloin steak. I asked for medium well and i got it well done...Took it back to the kitchen and then came out with another and it was "ok" cooked a little too long aswell but atleast it wasn't fully cooked. Once i cut into it the taste was a bit boring, and dry...needed more seasonings to capture that steak taste and more be more juicy instead of dry... This is a nationwide chain restaurant. I am giving it five stars because for this type of restaurant it met every expectation I had and then some. I will explain. It was 8:30 on a Thursday night and we had just arrived in town and met our friends. We were all hungry. My friend suggested the Outback because they had rack of lamb. We called to see if it was crowded. (If it is crowded they can put your name on the "I am on my way list"). It wasn't crowded and we drove right over. We were greeted at the door and the very nice hostess took us to a table. My friend declined because he doesn't like to be around children and we were surrounded by them at this location. No problem, they took us to another area of the restaurant that was child free. Our waitress Brittany was absolutely perfect. She knew the menu and answered all of our questions. We ordered some wine (Bottles for between $20 and $30 and glasses at reasonable prices). Brittany brought us out the warm bread and brought us bread plates. The bread plates were warm. A nice touch that even some "fancy" restaurants forget about. Since it was Veteran's Day and our friend had served in the Army, we were given a free Bloomin' Onion. This is a whole Onion that has been put in a special machine to cut it open like a flower. It is breaded, fried and brought to the table with a dipping sauce. If giant fried onions are your thing, then this will fit the bill. Three of us ordered the rack of lamb (17.95 with two sides). One in our party ordered the filet. One of the sides you can choose is a salad. I had the salad with the house mustard vinaigrette. When Brittany brought out our salads, the plates were chilled. Another excellent touch. The main course: All four dinners were cooked perfectly to order. My rack (six bones) was delivered right in between Rare and Medium Rare as ordered. The sauce was served on the side as it should be. I had a baked potato loaded for my second side and it was as it should be. Loaded with sour creme, cheese, chives and butter. Overall, a great meal, great service and zero complaints. If you are looking for a good solid experience in a chain restaurant, this is your ticket. Thank you for a great evening! read more

Disappointing experience overall. Service: 2/5 It took ages for our server to come by and take out drink order. She never refilled them, but fortunately someone else noticed us. Our food took a ridiculous amount of time to come out. Our server and the manager apologized and offered to bring out another entrée, but I didn't want to sit there another half hour. Food: 2/5 My steak medallions were overcooked, the shrimp was dry, and the rice was so/so. Ambiance: 2/5, it looks exactly like all the other outbacks. Bottom line, get your ship steered in the right direction, and you won't have to give away so much free food and apologize so much. read more

Our steak and service was wonderful. My husband and I split the 18oz steak. It was so delicious. Cannot wait to eat there again.

We ordered delivery at 7:55 pm on Saturday night. It was delivered in 20 minutes! And it was wonderful! Ribeye bone in steaks cooked to perfection as well as super tender and flavorful. Side salads and loaded baked potatoes were perfect as well. Honestly best steaks we have had in a long time! We literally had to chase after delivery guy to give him tip as he was not expecting a tip. We have had other not so great experiences at this location but manager really cares about making customers happy and making things right. 5 stars for everything! read more

Where too start. 1. The service was too fast (haha) didn't get to enjoy the salad before the food came. 2. The food wasn't that good. At best it was JUST good enough too eat. 3. They were out of one the items we ordered. 4. Was offered a bigger pour of wine for 1.00 more and ended up being 3.00 more. 5. Another server walking thru the dining are complaining and asking where the hostess was cause "they were going to bus the tables" Would NOT recommend to anyone and I will never go back. Allright so I hate giving bad reviews but if you have any expectations for what a sit down dinner should be... so far none of them have been met for us. I have eaten out all over the country for the last 4 years for every meal. (I don't cook) We sat down in the bar area. 10-15 minutes nobody talked to us. We moved to the bar. My friend ordered an ice tea and sugar. It tasted like water. Salad wasn't that great at all. We got the tea replaced and the second one was awful too. So after the poor guy had to get our sugar he didn't seam too excited about switching us to water. Maybe I'm just used to people with great attitudes that are providing excellent service. Our bartender was sweet nd she was accommodating. I'm waiting on the food. Hopefully the food will be okay and it it gets better here I'm gonna adjust the review rating. As of now there's no way I'm coming back. Been here 40 min total and haven't got our food yet nobody's done anything wrong . - okay they messed up the order. Wow what a night Celebrating my 20 year anniversary, made the mistake of not coming to my favorite place the first trip went to Logan's left after some bad service. Came to outback were I always get great service. Grant was my waiter tonight and he did a great job told him about our experience earlier in the day and he said don't worry I will take good care of you. And he delivered on his promise service was great and the food was cooked to perfection never again will I go to Logan's. We went to this outback instead of the 71st St. one because our friend said there's no wait now I understand why. The food was under cooked I ordered the grass fed hamburger. I asked for it to be medium came out like medium raw the manager came over and said they would cook another one but I was surprised that they even gave me a raw hamburger. Went to this eating place like I have been many times. Sat at a booth in the bar at 515pm with my 86 year old mother. Waited 10 minutes and finalLy went up to the bar to order a drink. The young waitress was lost (three tables occupied in the bar and no one at the bar). She did get our drinks and they were acceptable. Mom ordered two lobster tails and I ordered a 16 ounce prime rim medium rare. Moms dinner waS fine, the prime rib came out 12 ounces rare and the baked potato was hard. The waitress had disappeared and finally got someone and she had written 16 but screwed it up! Well I asked for the manger and I saw him when he brought my new meal which waS not acceptable! Told them not interested in eating and they charged us for ouur drinks and moms meall! Too many choices! I travel and eat out for a living, their prices keep creeping up and it's over rated! This is the worst place I've been to in my life. I have no idea how they are still in business. I ordered my food online for take away. I showed up to pick up my food and nobody was at the take away counter. I had to chase someone down to help me. The person working the takeaway counter was chit chatting at the front of the restaurant. When I asked about my food, he said they were having plumbing issues and my food wouldn't be ready for an hour to 45 minutes. Totally unacceptable. They had my order early with a contact number and could have contacted me about any delays with my order. Instead, it was social hour at work that day. Close that establishment down! read more

Wow, this was pretty bad. Had server who admitted she was brand new, but despite us being literally the only paying table in the dining room, she kept going to sit at a table with another employee, with her back to us, during our meal. Had to send back a cocktail that tasted like pure water (replacement was good). Our waitress said the bartender was flustered because he was young and brand new. Apparently no one trained him how to make a Manhattan? My steak arrived very very well done after it was ordered med-med. rare. Worst part is because our server was MIA, my husband ended up finishing his meal and I finished my sides while I was trying to find someone to inform about my overcooked sirloin. I ended up literally standing up from the table to get someone's attention. I am still giving them 3 stars because the manager replaced my steak with one that was actually quite delicious and comped my entree. I appreciated him doing that, although it just doesn't fix the experience of one person eating while the other is just trying to get the proper food. TERRIBLE - I ordered a take out order and REPEATEDLY stated that I wanted the Classic Seared and NOT the Wood Fired option - Of course, they got it wrong. The Wood Fired has the worst fake metallic taste. I ordered a simple baked potato, with butter only and of course they got that wrong as well. The side salad was awful and appeared to have been prepared days before (wilted / brown). Can the cooks not read, can the people taking the orders not write, does the management not care, or is it all of the above? Whatever the case, I won't return, and seriously doubt that I'll stop at any Outback. There are too many better options out there. read more

I don't go here very often, but when I do I usually order the outback special. Well, this time I decided to venture out a little bit, and I don't recall seeing a t-bone on their menu in the past. It was advertised as a 16oz steak and I ordered it medium rare. When the steak arrived, the very first noticeable thing was that the strip side was about 15.75oz, and the tenderloin I could barely see anything there.(about an eighth of an inch on that side of the bone). The one thing I do expect is that a place with "steakhouse" in their name, they should be able to cook it better than me. This is the first time I have ever gotten a steak(and this was all on the strip side) that was medium, medium rare(as I ordered it) and rare in three different locations. My compliments here, because that has to be difficult to do. Needless to say, I deserve what I got for going to a chain steakhouse. read more

I went recently to put a take out order and the phone line wouldn't answer. Then I went online and the website was down... so I just drove to this location and asked to order take out. I was told... "call the phone number...". Then I said the number is busy and the waiter said... "I'm sorry we are busy...". Then he walked away and left me in my car sitting in the parking lot. No follow up, no explanation or communication on what I can do to place my order. I waited a while longer and asked another employee for help placing an order, and finally after 30min someone let me place a takeout order. I understand being busy, but I also understand being rude. There's no reason to be rude when a customer is trying to bring you business! You may want to educate your staff on how to treat a customer and how to take an order. I think shane the employee would act more interested in the customers if he realized without them he wouldn't have a job. :) read more

We go to outback at least a couple of times a month. The Riverside location is the worst. They just can't serve quality food consistently. One time the ribs are good the next time they are dry and stringy. It's the same story no matter what entree you order. Even if you are lucky enough to show up on a day where the entree is prepared well, it will more than likely arrive at your table warm at best. It seems the managers change at this location monthly which probably doesn't help this locations issues with consistency! read more
