    Crab cake

The steak and pasta were enjoyed at the table. The goat cheese , cheese cake with blueberries was delicious. The waiter was just okay as was the salmon entree. I opted the salmon without the puff pastry. The fish had absolutely no flavor.. The green beans and leeks accompanied were delicious. When the waiter asked if I was going to eat the rest of my fish I said I was underwhelmed. He thanked me and said he told the kitchen and they threw it all out it....really? This was an odd comment to make as I'm sure they didn't throw it all out they just put it in a puff pastry for someone else. Had they seasoned the fish it may have been much better. . I had asked for a recommendation on a red blend and the waiter just handed over the drink menu without recommendation, not helpful or seemingly not knowledgeable about wine. The staff helping him serve were great! The outdoor seating with the faux fur shoulder wraps was a great touch, cute restaurant. We will be back.

The food is good, but it's not extraordinary for the prices they charge. The service is great, and so is the ambiance. The inside seating area is VERY limited, so expect to sit outside. You might be able to snag seating inside if you make reservations a couple of weeks ahead of time, but be prepared to be in a loud and crowded environment if you sit inside. They have a nice outside patio with fans and misters, so it's kinda comfortable - even in August. They're good, but not that good. Save this place for restaurant week when you can get a good deal. Reservations are definitely recommended - even if you want to sit outside. They really are that busy.

Enjoying a fine meal at Outlaw Kitchens is like a treasure hunt: the menu changes often, but has limited choices, so you want to check ahead and go on a day when they are offering something you like. Also, the best possible experience is dining on the patio in good weather, but this is Texas so the weather is variable. The patio has a misting system to cool things down, and the patio faces east so it's shady in the evening. Ordering the prix fixe menu gets you an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. They offer a vegetarian entree, too. You can choose a set of alcoholic drink pairings or just get soda or water. The food has a farm-to-table feel: fresh ingredients, well prepared, with just enough sauces, seasonings, etc. The staff treat you like you are a neighbor stopping by. The restaurant is located in a historic residential neighborhood, and many of the clients are locals. It's casual with a bit of an old money feel. There are always families, and the patio is kid friendly.

The ambiance here is so charming. Our server was very nice and attentive. The food was perfect, I can't wait to go back. The menu rotates so there's always something new. They were able to alter the menu for the tables gluten allergy when we went which we really appreciated. You will need a reservation, it's so worth it. There's plenty of free street parking all around the surrounding neighborhood.

Wow!!! It's rare that I'm blown away by a restaurant, but this was superb. I think this meal was my favorite dining experience of the year so far. I've been meaning to try Outlaw Kitchens for a while but never got around to it. I decided to check the menu for today online and it sounded right up my alley, so we made a reservation and showed up for dinner. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. We were seated right away and the menu was immediately explained to us. We wanted to try everything on the menu, so we ordered two 3-course prix fixe meals and tried each entree and dessert. The crab cake appetizer was delicious, deep fried and generously stuffed with crab meat. The two entrees were beautifully done as well. My husband ordered the cacio e pepe and I ordered the steak chimichurri. The steak was cooked perfectly and accompanied by broccoli and twice baked potato-- both great. The cacio e pepe surprised us both, though. It was bursting with flavor thanks to the tomato "meatball" and basil purée. I could eat three plates of that pasta alone. The dessert of course was amazing as well. Perfect crème brûlée and a sinfully rich chocolate torte. All in all, a wonderful and unique experience. The restaurant is owned and operated by a couple that actively work in the restaurant, and you can tell that love is put into the food and service. We can't wait to return.

I sat near the wall with old artwork that has been changed to go along with the CBD type drinks they sell. I laughed at the "We can do it" painting changed to "We can Dab it!" , as well as the traditional "Have a coke" pic changed to "Have a toke." Very clever. The lady at the register wasn't super friendly. I wouldn't say mean just indifferent or possibly sleepy. I ended up with a chagaccino (love the benefits of wild foraged chaga) and some added CBD. The drink was a bit pricey. But to be expected when doing healthier type drinks. They have several enhancers like CBD, delta, kava, Kratom, or mushrooms for an extra charge. I liked the chill vibe and couch area in the back. Parking here is very rough. Infact, this is my third try since there was no parking the first two times I tried, and I didn't feel comfortable parking infornt of houses nearby. Third time's a charm. They were playing some great 90s to early 2000s jams. Some Eminem, Backstreet, and some Britney b@#$%! This is one of those spots I will have to come to early on my days off. Overall, pretty decent atmosphere and drinks with room for some growth.

They were nice enough to warm the cookie for me, and it had that "fresh out of the oven" smell and gooeyness. They asked me if I wanted my drinks for here or to-go and I said for here and they still served me in to-go cups, which I thought was weird. The cortado was not my favorite. It was bitter and acidic and the foam was looking a little yeasty. The mocha latte also had very little flavor to it, tasting like hot milk. I had difficulty finishing both drinks. Later I noticed they were using What's Brewing beans, and it made sense. I know many folks love WB? coffee beans, as it's a bit of a local darling, but more often than not I don't enjoy cortados made with their beans. Dirty dishes and cutlery sat on a couple of tables long after folks had left. I don't want to make assumptions, because there WAS a designated staff member for cleaning/wiping things down, but maybe those two evaded her. There's a sign on the wall that says, "I'm not for everyone," and boy are they right. They also stopped playing one of my favorite Radiohead songs (right in the middle of it!) to play Teenage Dream by Katy Perry. Now while I'm not deducting stars for THAT (because that's just downright petty), I can't help but feel unimpressed by my most recent visit. At least the cookie was delicious. Summer Moon Coffee is great and this location is no exception. They specialize in sweeter, calorically dense, caffeinated beverages, with their signature Moon Milk being a stand out and my usual go to. They offer varying levels of sweetness, so everyone has the opportunity to dial in the beverage to their liking. They offer all the traditional coffee house staples as well, but I haven't personally tried any of those and can't speak to their quality. Prices are comparable to other coffee chains in the area. Ambient noise level inside the cafe was low and would be a well suited location to get some work done or study, several patrons seemed to be doing so. They offer WiFi, and the Verizon 5G signal was very strong inside. This location is a part of the Tripoint complex, shared with the D.R. Semmes Family YMCA and Trinity Baptist Church. Definitely worth stopping by for your caffeine fix after a workout if you're already in the area, but probably not a location I would come to for just the coffee. Things worth knowing ahead of time: They offer a drive through in you're in a hurry or stopping by on your way to work. Their restrooms are located just outside of the cafe area and shared by the church they share the building with.
