This place is great. Probably the best brisket in Seattle and the ribs were great. The mac and cheese was good as well. The potato salad was good, but the potatoes need to be cooked a little longer - but the flavor was great. My only ding is that the lines can be long and seem to move a little slow. We went at 530 on a Friday and waited over 30 mins to order. By 6 pm, I'd bet the line would have taken 40 mins. They could probably optimize things a bit. Also if you want a 2nd beer you need to go through the line again - so they need to fix that. They should have a side bar for just drinks. But other than that - this place is great. read more

Pricey but delicious. Beef cheeks are not on the regular menu but get them if they're a daily special - by far the best thing I ate that day. Brisket was good. Not under or overly fatty and tasty but felt a little dry. Beef rib was good but not excellent and probably wouldn't order it again because you're at the mercy of the weight of one rib (1-2 lbs) and would like to try the pork ribs next time. 2 types of sauce available on each table. One is mustard based. Both good. Street corn special was nice but I wouldn't say it tasted like street corn and the kernals may have been overcooked because they were lacking in that fresh kernel pop. Potato salad was bright and dill forward. The pudding part of the banana pudding was a little too stiff for my liking but has a good flavor. Would love to have tried the sütlaç but it doesn't seem to be on the menu often these days. To my untrained taste buds, this was 100% Texas BBQ so with the exception of the rice pudding and *maybe* potato salad, I would not say this is Turkish influenced at all the way many news articles have been portraying it. read more

Words can't describe how delicious the bbq was. I've searched for bbq joints that can compare to Texas bbq throughout the west coast and this by far the best I've had. So much so, I would choose it over the l legendary Terry Blacks in Austin. We ordered every meat option, all were good but the brisket and ribs stood out (so much so we went back for seconds). The ribs literally fell off the bone, everything was cooked to perfection, the place and staff hospitable, I loved that there was a toddler section for my baby to play... Potential is there because the food was solid. Needs a lot of work. Logistics of ordering is a nightmare. Nowhere to wait besides taking up table space. Walk in the door directly into a line so you're not really sure where to go. Further, ordered our sandwich entrees (mainly because they were sold out of most things) to wait in another line to order our sides. We saw our sandwiches made immediately which got cold as we waited in another line to order sides and close our tab. Big knock is selling out of a main seller Brisket before 6 pm on a Thursday. I get it's a hot commodity but for no brisket before even 6 pm on a Thursday to me could have been planned for. Barbacoa sandwich and pulled pork sandwich were both good (although fairly cold). Both sauces on the table were solid. Mac N Cheese: needs SALT If they want to encourage extra beer orders (they had a really solid draft list), they need to figure out another register to order drinks. When I left it was a 45 min wait for anything, even to close a tab. I'll be happy to try again when things calm down. Ambiance: McDonald's esque play pen was pretty obnoxious to sit next to. Loved everything, and I'm mostly a pescatarian/vegetarian. I eat ribs about once a year. I'm from out of town and was interested in trying this with a relative in the area. Pork ribs fell apart easily (yum!) and were very flavorful and generously meaty. Diners add their own sauce (2 great choices) from big squirt bottles. A fellow diner ordered some brisket and it was amazing. Tried most of the sides. I'm a slaw lover and theirs was original and delicious. Mac 'n cheese also tasty. We also got the street corn and the lemon poppyseed slaw. We'd absolutely get both again. The corn was outstanding, but extra credit goes to the lemon poppyseed slaw. The citrus was EXACTLY what we needed to brighten the heaviness of all the meat. 11/10. Slaw, corn casserole and mac & cheese was on point. But don't get me started on the massaged kale salad - you could hear that kale groaning with pleasure in the kitchen it was so well massaged. There is nearly no way to order lunch from these guys without going in! We had 5 people in my office trying to order lunch, called the number, and got a phone tree. If you try enter any extension it just goes to voicemail. I like the experience here. Order at the counter - find a seat, plenty of room so not a hassle finding one. The sign told us to choose our drink, choose a side and what meat we wanted. Theres no denying that the food is tasty! The beef rib was so flavorful and tender. The slaw slaw we ordered was good too, When we ordered the beef rib the person told us "its a lot, pretty big, like one and a half servings. We planned on sharing so we went ahead. When paying for the meal, (at a different register) thats when i realized the beef rib alone was $44.00! And the side of slaw was extra. Having committed to trying the food and remembering it is supposed to be 1 1/2 servings I didn't worry too much - kinda pricey but..went ahead. When i picked up the tray of food when ready there was one beef rib on the plate - one. It had a decent amount of meat on the one side but was definitely NOT a large amount of actual meat even for one person. This restaurant has so much going for it but for $92.00 all told, for one rib, side and 2 sodas was a ridiculous price for the amount of rib delivered to us. For that reason Ill definitely choose a different place next time. read more

I encountered this stand at the SLU Saturday Market. I traced the delicious BBQ I was seeing people walking around with and no sooner did I arrive, did they pull the juiciest looking brisket from the smoker! It was pricey for 3 slices of brisket and two sides but it was a great looking dish and the brisket did not disappoint. The plastic knife cut through it like melting butter! I didn't even use the sauce, to be honest, because it tasted so good as is. The sides looked vibrant and healthy and were served in a generous portion. For the price, I'd rather just see how much brisket I could get for that amount, but I could definitely see getting this again. I recommend giving this a try! read more

Me and my boyfriend came here yesterday after seeing it on reels on instagram. We went and it wasn't that far from home. We got the pound of ribs a chicken breast, street corn, mac n cheese and their two deserts peach cobbler and banana pudding, The meat was amazing the street corn was okay and the mac was good! So here's the weird part, me and my boyfriend noticed that the staff ( okay idk if this place is family owned or not ) kept checking up on the couple behind us.... not checking on us but checking on them specifically, after that the couple left and another couple took over and AGAIN did that same lady check up on them and not checking on us since she had to walk our way first to get to them, very weird....we have never experienced anything like this.. and as we were leaving i made eye contact to the same lady and smiled and she just looked away...we were enjoying ourselves till we noticed this. Am i tripping? i don't think so but one of the staffs is definitely racist.... which is surprising cause the lady i saw the reel from was asian as-well. Absolutely the best BBQ I've had in Seattle in a long time (RIP Campfire BBQ and Meaty Johnson's). The brisket is unbelievably fatty and tender and just melts in the mouth. The seasoning is simple and extremely flavorful; while sauce is provided it's absolutely not necessary (and in fact, next time I go, I will not take any). I want to say it's Texas BBQ, but I've been eating mediocre Seattle BBQ for so long, I can't remember what that actually tastes like anymore. The sides are also extremely unique and delicious. I got the lemon slaw and potato salad. The lemon slaw is very light and refreshing and complements the heavy meat perfectly. The potato salad has a lot of green it in, including dill, which also pairs really nicely with the meat. Yes, it's pricey, but if you've been asking where the good BBQ is at in Seattle, you must try it. I tried it at the SLU Saturday market but it looks like they move around and put their locations on Instagram as of July 2023. read more
