Sitting no here wondering why we actually still sat down after getting a begrudging and snarky greeting from "hostess". Been sitting for 20 minutes. Waitress delivered cold coffee. Didn't recheck. Father waiting for 20 minutes for hot coffee. When asked to bring fresh coffee we were told it was dumped because they were closing in 45 minutes. Waitress begrudgingly asked if we wanted new coffee. I said yes my father who is 85 deserves it and was rewarded with a huge eye roll. At which point I asked her to not give me attitude after we waited 20 minutes for a check back. She then clearly bitches about me complaining and delivered dirty looks from the staff. Food came. Mediocre. Mushy. And evil stares. No manager present. This is what you get when you let I'll behaved children run your restaurant. UPDATE. My food as well as my sons was entirely inedible. I have been to this location twice now (plan to go back this Sunday :) and they have always impressed me. The staff is friendly and helpful, food is always delicious! Great food and customer service! We had placed an order through Uber eats, which was picked up from the restaurant and then cancelled. When we called to see what happened, Anna was very helpful and helped get our order remade quickly for us to pickup ourselves. Nice, clean, friendly place. I ordered my chicken sandwich with mustard on the side. It came with mustard on the side and the sandwich was completely covered. I sent it back and by the time it came back out, my husband was on his last two bites. The home fries are not close to any kind of fries, they are thinly sliced potatoes that were lightly cooked and not much flavor. It's a cute little environment to eat at. Came in at around 10:30 and had a 5 minute wait. While waiting, 8 out of 12 tables still weren't cleared off. Waiter had to clear off a table just to seat us. Waited 20 minutes for food, so not bad. Ordered the traditional egg Benedict and my eggs were overcooked. Waitress didn't ask how I wanted my eggs. Hash browns were okay. My husband ordered the steak and eggs, and his dish came in so soupy. His dish was also okay. Probably the best, no drama breakfast you'll get nesr Paradise Valley. Great little patio area that's dog friendly and there's nothing like a brand new modern take on breafast and lunch bistro. 1st time at this location. Went around noon, the hostess wasn't friendly, seemed irritated. Finally we were sat, waitress took our drink orders, came back and ordered. I noticed a few tables around us were getting the wrong food or things not prepared correctly also missing items. It took forever for us to get our food, a omelette and the mushroom egg dish. Lots of people bringing out food to incorrect tables, etc. My husband didn't get his hash, asked the waitress, said she'd get them and never did. It wasn't crazy busy, perhaps issues in the kitchen, not sure. The waitress did take off $3 AFTER I reminded her again, no hash browns and asked that they be taken off the bill. Food was ok but the service provided was sub par. We were seated by a very nice lady short hair and glasses who eventually took our order because Leah P was very busy with too many other tables and never came back after getting us a coffee and OJ. After the order arrived the bacon and sausage were taken back because not crispy as we asked and were still waiting on a milk. Another 10 minutes went by and meal still incomplete we were waiting but no service. I asked Leah if she was our waitress as I explained; you never took our order or brought our food or checked on us. Our bacon and sausage were taken back 10 minutes ago because it wasn't crispy as we had ordered and I never got my small milk and I am still waiting to eat 45 minutes after getting here. She brought the bacon and sausage and milk but her attitude was very short. She could have taken this negative situation and turned it into a good one but does not have that yet in her Arsenal. As a result I would give this cafe a 4 out of 10. An unpleasant experience. It was partially the Managements fault for giving this girl more than she could handle. And when others stepped in they did not follow up. We just got the idea that no one cared about us. We would have been ecstatic had the server experience been fulfilled. Let me start by saying I have been to a couple locations and have enjoyed it very much but this last visit to the one on Tatum was really awful. Nothing to hard about eggs over easy with hashbrowns & toast (asked for dark) & side of fruit because it was Friday & observing lent. Took forever for the order 20 min +, everything was cold, toast hardly toasted. Fruit looked brown in spots. Not appetizing at all! We complained they apologized & took off one breakfast. "Over Rated" lol . I love the feel of a diner but not the prices and not the lack of flavor in the food. All of the cooks look like 16-year-old Mexican boys. Each time the food has been worse and worse. The Florentine is just some barely wilted spinach with zero flavor whatsoever. Definitely not sautéed. The home fries are Thinly sliced potatoes resembling potato chips but not crunchy enough to be potato chips but not soft enough to be hash. Greasy and no seasoning. My husband and I ventured out this morning for breakfast in a spot we haven't been, since the pandemic. Not only was the food and service as stellar as ever, but the serving and management staff took very seriously a health concern, after a patron who was walking to the restroom without a mask (clearly posted that it is required to have one) and SNEEZED AND THEN, WITH A LONG AMOUNT OF MUCOUS HANGING FROM HIS NOSE FELL ONTO the party of two women sitting several feet from him, as he walked by. One of the customers was very shaken, and both left. One can hardly blame them; it had to have been very upsetting. The staff took this incident in stride; cleaning/sanitizing immediately, assuring other customers and offering alternatives to anyone who felt uneasy about staying, and addressing the ill-appearing customer, once he returned from the restroom. And, they did this seamlessly, while continuing to fulfill orders and seat waiting customers, away from the area being sanitized. This staff deserves huge kudos, for their professionalism, compassion, and their ability to quickly adjust and assure a pleasant environment and experience. Bravo! read more

This possibly could have been a good place for breakfast. Service was nonexistent. It took a server almost 10 min to take our drink order. When the drinks came, the piece of celery in the Bloody Mary looked like it had been sitting on a counter for several days. It was dried out and discolored. The mimosa that came had lipstick marks. When the lipstick marks were pointed out to one of the servers, he had the nerve to laugh. That was it. We gathered our belongings and walked out. So I was really excited to try this restaurant especially after I seen it on TV a while back with Guy. However I am extremely disappointed...the food was okay...the service was Horrible. My Waiter, Alyssa B, took my Husband and I drink orders and once she dropped them off at our table she didn't ask if we were ready to order (even though we were). I watched her take other orders, deliver food at others tables, and spend a huge amount of time trying to figure out how to operate the POS system...she eventually came and took our orders...I asked how the chicken and waffles taste (the ones that are suppose to be famous according to the promotions) and she stated, I don't know I never had them...I wouldn't recommend them...so I ended up just getting the French toast...my Husband got pancakes and an omelette...she said the omelette came with potato...she asked if we wanted hash browns or regular potatoes... I stated just regular potatoes...the food came pretty quickly even though the ordering process took forever...once we got our food, of course the potatoes were wrong...I mention it to her and she says nothing (my husband who is more go with the flow stated that the potatoes were fine) and she walks away...no I'm sorry, can I get you more potatoes, is there anything else I can get for you, no how is the food...it was almost as if she didn't want to be servicing us...she goes back and watches some tech people try to figure out the POS system. I understand that there may have been a issue, and somethings may have been out of her control, however she could have been more pleasant...I'm usually a really good tipper but I honestly didn't think she deserved anything!!! Walked into the restaurant at 8 am on a Sunday. No one at the hostess stand; not even any greeting from the servers. Finally a server came up and gave us menus and told us to seat ourselves. If that is the usual, at least have a sign stating such. When seated, Jamie asked if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered two coffees and a bloody mary. The coffee came, and there were flecks of something in the coffee...coating the side of the cup. Not knowing what they were, we asked Jamie to bring us new cups of coffee. No apology or explanation, she eventually brought two more cups of coffee. One of them still had flecks of something in them. At that point my partner just told her to take the coffee away and not to bring another. The coffee that I received was ok, but there was never a refill. For a breakfast place, I would think that coffee would be the first priority. During the entire time that we ate breakfast and when Jamie took away the dishes, there was not ever the any coffee refills. The breakfast was ok, but they should get the basics down first! read more
