I don't think having the nuts and bran on top helped with that. The toppings encouraged use of the butter and drowning in syrup, which kinda negates the purpose of the protein emphasis. Nice little breakfast, brunch Café. we were greeted nicely by the receptionist and we were seated quickly. The server came quickly as well with water. They came back and took our order within only a couple of minutes. Ordered a breakfast burrito with sweet potato hash, and we also had the brioche French toast. The order actually came out really quick along with our coffee. When we started on the burrito, we noticed that the sweet potato hash was not in there. We had the server come over and he was able to get a side of sweet potato waffle fries instead for us, it was really nice about it as well. It was a great experience for a nice brunch. read more

What keeps me from giving 5 stars is the coffee that I had at your restaurant today. I've been to two other Over Easy Restaurants and the coffee is always so great, which is why Over Easy has been my favorite breakfast place, but the coffee at Lake Pleasant Over Easy, tasted bland and watered down. She was slow and hardly checked in then when it came to asking for the check she said she would go grab it just for us to see her eating in front of us. Hair in food, one rude server, two nicer ones. Food was mediocre at best and prices too high for lower quality food. My oats came wit pecans which I didn't get and I asked what fruit came with it "blueberries" was response but came with strawberries and blueberries. I am glad it wasn't a food allergy thing! I detest strawberries so a bit annoying. They offered to remake it like three times which was really nice and accommodating but all I wanted was to get the missing pecans and not have them throw away food! This is when server got rude. Updating my review........We are still regulars at Over Easy. There is not another restaurant that we would go to regularly, Anna (manager) is the best!! She always sees to it that our food is done right and she is friendly and loving, actually. The place is spotless because she is 'fussy" about cleanliness. A few days ago, a friend of mine out of town sent me a text asking if I ever ate at Over Easy as she saw Over Easy featured on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" when Guy Fieri stopped by one of their locations back in 2009. Ironically, I had eaten there literally only 24 hours earlier and had a great experience. In fact, my father and I make Over Easy one of our frequent places to visit for brunch on the weekends. I remember the first time I ever went to Over Easy (at another location) years ago, a friend of mine introduced me to M&M pancakes. I felt like a little kid! Now, when I go with my father, I typically get the Two Egg Breakfast, which is served with eggs any style, hash browns, bacon, and choice of toast. I enjoy getting eggs scrambled and bacon crispy, and then I substitute tater tots for the hash browns and a pancake for the toast. I have also enjoyed ordering the Corned Beef Hash (2 any style eggs, diced Vienna corned beef with potato and onion, and a choice of toast) and just pancakes before. They also have other fun dishes from waffle dogs to chicken & waffle to Reese's Pieces, M&Ms, or chocolate chip pancakes. The atmosphere is great with plenty of spaced out indoor or outdoor seating along with bar seating. During COVID-19, my father and I tend to sit outside by a heater (when it's cold out). The service both indoors and outdoors is typically good with plenty of staff helping out. In addition to customers coming and going, there are also orders placed through Door Dash and Post Mates for Over Easy. There are also good deals out there thanks to $5 discounts in local publications including the Valpak coupons sometimes. There are also occasional deals on Instagram for when you purchase gift cards. Been here just once. Had the chiliquiles and enjoyed it. Portions were good for the price. For me, it was a good amount of heat. My mouth can not always taste the level but my nose will let me know about half way through the meal that there was some kick in there. I was seated quickly outside (as I waited for my breakfast date who was just a few minutes behind me). My waitress was on top of my iced tea refills...I think there were 4. I never had to flag her down for them. She was also on top of my date's coffee refills. My dining partner had ordered the Chicken Fried Steak plate and had enough to take home. I like that they had outdoor seating. Fall is a beautiful time to eat outdoors. There were a few birds that tried to sneak onto the patio for some crumbs, but nothing bothersome. This small place with delightfully colorful decor is a perfect breakfast or brunch place whether on the weekend or on a weekday. I really like that they have a selection of both super-healthy or very-decadent options ranging from egg white omelets to buttery French toast. There are a number of gluten-free options here, which I very much appreciated. Their southwest skillet is fabulous, and the omelets they make are utterly awesome.
