The place is clean, the staff is pleasant and helpful, and the food was tasty! They'll tailor your food choices for you, but that's not needed. We ordered right off the menu, and everything was really good!!

The place was busy but I was impressed at how quick our server greeted us and took drink orders. Portions are a good size. I had the classic eggs Benny and was able to easily add arugula and tomato to the order. Pickle Bloody Mary was really salty and tart but pretty good.

We enjoyed a nice breakfast at this cheery spot in paradise valley. As a breakfast spot it featured all the usual suspects from eggs, omelettes and pancakes to avocado toast, waffles and more. At 7:45 on a sunny Saturday we beat any sort of rush and were greeted right away by our pleasant server. We appreciated the fresh squeezed OJ to start off and my wife liked the avocado toast with its hint of lemon on the abundant greens. My malted waffle was as expected and the extra crispy bacon hit the spot. At around $20 per person the prices were reasonable. Recommended

Country fried steak and scrambled eggs. Potatoes O'Brien with a side of corn beef hash

This small yet effective diner started in May 2008 by celebrity chef Aaron May is a great gem in the Paradise Valley area of Phoenix Arizona. The ambiance gives off a summer beach meets desert vibe, soft hues of yellow and turquoise fill the dinner. Very friendly staff, quick, funny and attentive. We went with the chicken fried steak, with potatoes O'Brien and eggs. A hand tenderized, hand breaded large steak perfectly season and fried, topped with three eggs perfectly cooked and well seasoned potatoes O'Brien. I recommend washing it all down with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. Over all priced right for the amount of food you get, a great experience with friends, a definite must stop when in Phoenix any day of the week. Well done Over Easy!

Met some friends at 6:30am on a Sunday morning. My friends are regulars here, every Sunday morning for years. This was my first time. It was quiet but very peaceful and nice. I was given a warm welcome by the lady who seemed like she knew my friends very well bc they would banter and joke around with each other. It was a very fun atmosphere. I am a simple breakfast eater and since I wasn't familiar with the menu, she was super helpful in listening to what I liked and helping me with my order. I got two sunny side up eggs, bacon, crispy hash browns and toast. And it was delicious! Loved it!

Only a 10 min wait for a table on the weekend (in the late summer mind you), so love that ability to get in! The patio is well shaded too, so people were actually outside. Chicken and waffles was on the more expensive side - but it's a good amount of tenders. Waffle is home style not Belgian - not a bad thing, better in my mind, but just a warning. Next time I think I'd go with a less expensive entree like chilaquiles. Over easy iced is yummy but also a bit expensive at $6.95. I would skip that next time. Service was functioning but nothing special - very transactional, not proactive (ex had to ask for syrup, water, etc.).

Sat on the patio on a beautiful Tuesday morning. The coffee was of good quality. The OJ was delicious but awfully pricy for such a small glass. Our server was very attentive and gave a lot of great advice for our first visit. We had the basil melt and Cajun hash. We also ordered a cheddar Jalepeno biscuit, which was outstanding. The only negative aspect of our visit had little to do with our meal. A woman with two large dogs (a German Shepherd and a black lab) came to the patio and they were not on leashes. The dogs roamed around the patio for a while until enough people had given her dirty looks that she put them on their leashes. I'm assuming she is a regular as everyone working inside came out to pet her dogs.

We had 6:30 reservations and were seated promptly, but because the restaurant itself is more on the smaller side, we were between two different tables, and it was extremely hard to hear each other with how close the tables were. If you are someone who doesn't mind this atmosphere, it's a great spot, but it is very challenging to hear when you're sitting across the table from someone and you've got other couples/ groups to the right and left of you. The wait staff were awesome and the service was great; we were not overly impressed with the food (no substitutions for certain items based on allergies so be aware). We had the bacon wrapped dates (good), Cesar salad (fresh but had a very tangy lemon flavor) and the beef bolognese ( we really wanted to like this, and the sauce that itself was good, but as the noodles were very al dente and more of a protein wheat based pasta flavor). We are glad we tried it (thanks Mrazsports!) but would not make it a rotational restaurant.

Best Bolognese in town in my opinion. The staff was more than accommodating. This was years ago, before the speakeasy existed. I remember we were greeted at the table with glasses of champagne. Service was impeccable, food was delicious. We had one of the best desserts of our lives. 10/10 first impression. We went back maybe a year later after the speakeasy was built in, and it seemed like all their attention went to that instead. They were out of a bunch of dishes on the menu. I remember we all got our food except for my husband and we finally had to ask the server what was going on with his dish and that's when they told us they were out of that dish he had ordered too. They offered to make something else on the house, but at this point we were all almost done with our food so he ended up with nothing. They did try to make it right, I'll give them that, but it was a weird experience. We decided to give the restaurant one last try for my mom's birthday over the weekend and it solidified our opinions on this place. First of all, it's EXPENSIVE. I get it's Scottsdale but they are trying way too hard with $80 ribeyes and $1500 bottles of wine, but not giving you anything for it. Don't get me wrong, I'll enjoy an expensive meal when I feel it's warranted. The food, service, details need to go above and beyond to justify my $500+ tab. That's just not the case here. The server didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Didn't even offer a birthday dessert? We ordered salads before our meals and our entrees showed up two minutes later. My sister had her leftover pasta boxed up and they never brought it back. She asked about it and they said they could fire her a new one, but we were ready to go at this point. These are not issues you should be having at an upscale restaurant at this price point. After all this, we won't be returning. There are much better restaurants at lesser price points that offer amazing food with above and beyond experience. Everyone try Restaurant Progress instead!
