I really wanted to like this place as it was on Guy Fieri's show, however, it was so atrocious I felt the need to write a review. For starters, the wait staff was at best, blatantly uncomfortable and not enjoying themselves at all. I really hope that they are in a good work environment, because by the way they were all acting it would seem that none of them enjoy working there. When the food was received, it looked okay, the Hollandaise sauce was just a little bit watery looking and the omelette seemed slightly overcooked. We also wanted fries, but received thin slices of potato that were only half cooked. If those are really their home fries, so be it. No big deal, right? Wrong. I have tried eggs benedict at every breakfast joint I have been to, let's just say Denny's eggs benedict is better than these. The ham/egg flavor was all there, but something was wrong about the sauce and English muffins. The sauce being so watery made the muffins super soggy and there was a flavor I can't quite describe that lingered after taking the first bite. As for the omelette, it was more than just dry on the outside, it was also dry on the inside and despicably had no flavor to speak of other than burnt egg. Before I left, I took a peek at the kitchen, it was a huge mess, nothing back there looked sanitary and the cooks all seemed to have an attitude directed at the waitstaff. Welcome to another tasting session of Lil' Boss! Today we will be exploring a new sit down restaurant but this time it's breakfast. Today we will be deciding if Over Easy, a restaurant only found in Arizona is, "Fab or Totes Bad". There is a lot to uncover about this new restaurant but before we get into the review, what am I going to judge this food on? First, how is the taste (you can't review a restaurant and leave out the food), how was the service (were the waiters nice?), and the atmosphere (were the vibes good?). The first topic we will be discussing is, how is the atmosphere? Well there is a lot to talk about so sit tight. The vibes were really comforting, it is like the best parts of a coffee shop which I appreciated as I am not a fan of coffee. The energy was light as well as the colors in the room. It was blue with pretty designs/paintings on the wall. There was talking in the background that had a comforting feeling. There wasn't a significant smell, and although it felt like you were in a coffee shop. I could see into the kitchen a bit as there was a little area the waiters walked through to get an order. It was just a cozy, bright place to get food. Everything in this restaurant felt planned and put together from the walls, to the chairs, and even to the napkins. The atmosphere of a restaurant is one thing but how about the service. The waiter that we got was super helpful and patient. There were a lot of people at our table and one of them had some food allergies which made their order a bit complicated. Our waiter was very understanding and made sure to accommodate. The drinks were almost always filled and the food came out at the same time, but was still hot. The most important thing left is the food (what are the options and how does it taste). There were a lot of different food options (like pages worth of options) which could be either good or bad. If you have a hard time deciding what to eat then the menu might be a bit overwhelming. As I was looking through the food options there was a lot of unique food that I had never seen before. Menu was very clear on what was inside and told if it was vegan or gluten free. The prices were a bit more expensive but it could also depend on what you are getting and what expensive means. The average main dish was about $15 and that's not including any add-on or drinks. The food that I ordered was enjoyable, the cinnamon roll french toast melted in your mouth but that could also have been the maple syrup that I lathered on. There was a slight tangy taste due to the orange royal icing that was drizzled on top. The french toast and the signature swirl of a cinnamon roll and the cinnamon was pungent but not overpowering. The hash browns were not pre salted and they were pretty basic. If you knew how to cook hash browns well you could easily remake them. I do have to say that both the pancakes and cinnamon french toast were excellent, but you could also get something very similar at a place like black bear dinner for significantly less. Well that is it folk's, that is my take on Over Easy. Now for the opinion that you have all been waiting for, is it "Fab or Tots Bad??" The food I had wasn't unique, if anything it felt standard, though I do want to note that not all the food there was like this. If you are going to get the cinnamon french toast or the pancakes there are better places out there. The vibes of the place were just like at a coffee shop but without the bad smell, and other than the bathrooms it was really clean. So I would say that it is ...Fab!!! There are some things to improve but although the food was a bit average, it was food, non the less. read more

This spot has patio seating available along with touch less ordering and paying. Came here with a couple of friends after a hike for brunch today. It was my first time there. I saw they ha da Cubano sandwich and I had to try it. I ordered it without mayo and without pickle. When I got my order it came without mustard without mayo and WITH tomato. I was surprised as the menu doesn't say tomato and I hate raw tomatoes. The egg on top looked a bit raw still. I didn't complain, picked it off end tried to get the juices out of the bread. The sandwich as a whole was good. It was well assembled aside from what was mentioned above. The pulled pork was tasty and the ham was too. It was definitely a modified Cubano with arugula and an egg and such. It was something I'd order again. The home fries I expected to look like fried triangular potatoes. I got what was pictured in this review. It was different than other restaurant's home fries. They were tasty and I liked the cooked skillet potato taste and feel. Loved coming here on a nice breezy Sunday morning. We got seated quickly despite the Sunday morning crowds. Our waiter was so friendly and sweet (unsure of his name but he was an African American gentleman and we appreciated him). The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious, and they were willing to customize my Dad's picky egg order. The pancakes were fluffy and I was surprised by how good quinoa was on yogurt (who knew??). This place was great. The costumer service was above and beyond. The food was amazing and so good. I ordered the chilaquiles and tasted amazing. My kids all got chocolate chip pancakes and their orange juice is so good. My kids got these cool wiki sticks that kept them entertained for the whole time we were there. When we told the guy we were from out of town and that we loved these wiki sticks he gave us a few more for the long card ride back home to help keel the kids entertained. This is such a perfect place, and I am glad we went. I was not able to take pictures because my phone died. This place was one where Diner Drives and Dives was filmed. They were all so friendly and their food was delicious and it was priced reasonably. I had the burrito with salsa verde and it was very good and I had a drink the Paloma I believe. The burrito was so good and I wished we could have gone back so I can try other items on the menu. My brother had the mimosa flight which was also really good. Overall the meal was good the salsa verde was good and there was equal amounts of items in the burrito. Tucked away in the corner behind a bank in shopping center. Bright & airy, service is very pleasant. Sara was my server, she is very helpful answering any questions about the menu & accommodating special requests (half cranberry juice/ half water) because I am special! Lol Ordered the Jalapeno cheeses biscuits & gravy (half order) since I was full of coffee The biscuits are good size not hot from the Jalapeno (I like it hot), bits of Bacon in the Gravy which is thick consistency but not real heavy, A sausage link split & seared on top. Needed some breakfast to feed my toddler and I while in Scottsdale and decided to check this place out. We didn't know that it's been a featured restaurant by Guy Fieri at first, so once we knew, it's an obligation to try one of the items he tried. We ordered the banana nut French toast and a scramble egg ... and a cold brew coffee (Over Easy Iced) for me - gotta wake up with some caffeine and some condensed milk cinnamon cardamom sounds fun! Coffee did not disappoint; it was smooth nutty but not too sweet. The French toast got plenty of sliced bananas, sprinkled chopped pecans and caramel sauce. The flavors of each ingredients stands out but did not overwhelm another and it was beautifully presented. Our server was patience, gave us time to settle in and did not rush us, which I'm so thankful for dining in with a toddler. Food came fast too, another thing I'm thankful for with a hungry toddler. Triple Fail! Prepare to be disappointed because, in all honesty, the food is mediocre at best. My family went to this restaurant with high expectations because the restaurant had been featured on Triple D. Our experience started out strong, as the restaurant is tastefully decorated and the service was excellent. The avocado toast was lackluster, with unseasonal tomatoes and untoasted toast. My husband had the chicken and waffles, which was a featured dish. A 15 year old line cook at iHop would have been embarrassed to plate this. Great breakfast location with good ambiance and service. We were in the area for a meeting and the office place suggested over easy. They serve breakfast and lunch and our server recommended the waffle dog for our group as an appetizer. They were EPIC. Think corn dog but on the inside was breakfast sausage versus a hot dog and the outside had a good flavor cooked just right! A few people ordered the Chorizo Benedict and they both said it was delicious. They were spicy, so lot sure of they can make it a little less spicy? The chicken and waffles were huge! If hungry order that one! The rest of the group ordered the chilaquiles. You had option of red, green or Christmas (both) of the sauce. Gosh, this was such a bummer. We ordered our meal through Postmates because we were having a lazy Sunday. I went with the Wolf Pack thinking it had to be something special because it was just basic breakfast items put together. What was I thinking? It was so boring. It is literally a layer of soggy hash browns, barely any cheese, 2 eggs of your choice, maybe 3 slices of bacon (probably 2) and another layer of soggy hash browns on top. Such a disappointment, not much taste and I could not figure out why they called it the Wolf Pack. I ate the eggs and one limpy piece of bacon. My fiance went with the Cubano sandwich. When we ordered it, there was an option for CRISPY home fries. The home fries were no where near crispy. It was basically sliced baby potatoes and he ended up throwing them out after a bite. I really hate to update a review and have it be not as good as a previous one, but unfortunately the last couple of visits here just haven't mirrored my original experience. The service has still always been friendly, but the food just hasn't been as great. I'm not sure if maybe it was the items ordered that stuck out so great the first time or if we just came on a really good day. Since the first visit, I've returned to try other menu items. The chilaquiles, sweet potato tots, and second round of chicken and waffles didn't go as well. The chilaquiles have decent flavor but even just by the time they were delivered to me, they were pretty soggy. The sweet potato tots were okay, but still nothing special. They weren't as crispy as I would have liked. The chicken with the chicken and waffles is still excellent, but the waffle was a bit soggy this time around. Overall it's still a decent breakfast spot, it just hasn't replicated the great experience we received the first time we came in. I wish them well though, lots of potential! read more

Friendly staff, always attentive and excellent environment. We got the brioche French toast with Carmel Drizzle, it was amazing! We also got the chilequilas, biscuits and gravy, and breakfast sandwich. Everything was great except the chilequilas. It seems like they used Doritos for the chips. Traditionally it's made with tortilla strips with the sauce and maybe eggs and a meat. I've seen places use tortilla chips to make for a faster process but never Doritos. Sure I could be wrong but these chips were seasoned exactly like Doritos or made by the same company. The food was good, location great but the chilequilas preparation was a no go for me. I ordered another breakfast sandwich. I would've be back because the overall food seemed pretty simple. If I was going out to eat I want something that I can't find at another restaurant. I love the Waffle Dogs and tots here! I probably would eat this daily if it was healthier lol. But seriously, you need to try them. The waffle dogs are battered and fried to perfection! The balance of sweet, savory and tart with some strawberries really is amazing. The second time I tried the chicken fried steak with scrambled egg and tots. The tots won me over again but the chicken fried steak was a bit bland. I think opting for over easy eggs may have made it better but next time I go back I need to have those waffle dogs again in my life. The service is fast and friendly, the tables are relatively spaced out and outdoor dining is available. All the servers and staff had masks on. Food was OK but needed seasoning. the waffle in the chicken and waffle plate tasted like a frozen waffle. Spicy maple syrup consisted of Cholula (from the table) and plain maple syrup. My French toast was well cooked but was devoid of flavor and the brioche was very dry and lacked the richness brioche usually has. Staff was mostly efficient not interrupting the meal. Our waitress, after telling her we were ready to order, asked if this was our first time in. When we said yes, she started explaining the menu even though we said we were already to order. She was pleasant, but still annoying as it felt condescending.
