Chicken is tender but a little dry. Nothing that a nice helping of maple syrup didn't fix. Also tried the morning waffle special. This is a waffle, topped with an egg, bacon and avocado slices. As soon as we sat down, my kids were delighted to see the "paper table cloths that just screamed color me with all of your creative designs". The family game of tic-tac-toe kept everyone entertained while we waited on our freshly cooked dinner selections. One dish that truly stole the show was the gluten-free chicken fingers. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, they were a hit with both kids and adults alike. In addition to the chicken fingers, we also tried the wings, another gluten-free option on the menu. They were simply amazing! The wings were generously coated in a tangy and delicious BBQ sauce. They may be our "go to" on wing night. We recently visited to celebrate a coworker's special occasion, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. Despite the promising reviews, our visit was marred by a series of disappointments. Upon arrival, we were met with an extremely long wait time. We understand that it is a busy place, yet the host seemed indifferent to our concerns. Once seated, we found the atmosphere uncomfortable and unwelcoming, with a rude demeanor from both the host and server. Although the restaurant claims to be suitable for groups, our experience suggested otherwise. The cramped seating and lack of attention from staff made it difficult to enjoy our time together. Additionally, despite being promised a free dessert in lieu of bringing outside dessert to celebrate, we never received it. Throughout the meal, we felt rushed and overlooked, as if our presence was an inconvenience to the staff. While the food itself was satisfactory, it was overshadowed by the overall negative experience. In conclusion, our visit left us feeling disappointed and disheartened. Over The Falls is a great restaurant, and I have eaten here many times. I have never once had a bad meal. The owner, Greg, takes time to come out of the kitchen and visit with guests. The pizzas are great, and the selection of sandwiches will blow you away. The Mother's Day brunch was one of the best visits we have made. The shrimp & grits were to die for. Hopefully, they will be added to the regular menu soon!! They also have a great bourbon selection - including many "house-infused" bourbons that are something very special! Don't miss out on these! Greg and his staff deserve high praise for the food that they have brought to Wake Forest. It's a very friendly atmosphere, and you can "come-as-you-are" any day and time. read more

Neat little place in Wake Forest's up and coming historic district. This deli used to be on White St but has moved to a larger location. Although the look is much more sleek and modern it has lost a bit of it's charm IMO. Decent beer selection and service. I have to say I've never had a bad experience here. I really like the Terrapin Tower sandwich. Everything else I've had has been hit or miss. Potato chips are AWESOME when they're good, and terrible when they're not - not sure why they're inconsistent. That being said, this is one of the better sandwich places in Wake Forest. read more
