This is a staple in our hometown of Wake Forest- There is something for everyone. Pizza, salads, wings, burgers, sandwiches and it's unique and very tasty. Perfect place to grab lunch or a casual dinner. Staff has always been very friendly, cocktails delicious. One of my favorites is the Veggie Quesadilla (add extra Jalepenos )I also love the sweet potato fries. The tuna-sashimi salad and I forget the name but it's a southwestern chicken pizza- so yummy! read more

This is our favorite Wake Forest restaurant! We eat here almost once a week - the pizza, salads, sandwiches, everything is simply the best! Service is fantastic and it always feels like a personalized dining experience! Lunch time can get a little hectic so be sure to keep your fingers crossed for a table or be ready to wait. It's well worth it and the wait is never too long. PS try the fried chicken salad!! It's to die for! I have only been here a couple times over the past several years and it's been almost 2 years since my last visit, and boy have there been changes. This place is incredible! The ambience is wonderful, classy yet comfortable. Their selection of Decour almost makes you feel like you're dining in a friend's living room. We were served by Julia tonight who was absolutely impeccable. Friendly and very attentive. Some of the best service we've had in a while. The menu is extensive and there are so many options it was hard to pick. And the quality of food is simply unbeatable. Wraps stuffed with salmon and fresh avocado, perfectly cooked sweet potato fries and the crab dip is excellent. Wil (the GM) came over and introduced himself and checked on our food and asked about our dining experience. It is that attention to detail that is making this place so good. What a wonderful surprise in a small strip mall in downtown Wake Forest! The front isn't fancy so it may be easy to miss if you are not looking for it. The interior is cozy yet spacious. Good service and nice selection of food. My family and went during the morning for brunch and we loved the choices! We all got mini waffles with our meals. They are more dense than what we were expecting, definitely not fluffy and light. Other than that, we enjoyed our experience here and will come back again. read more

This is our second time coming back since April 2014 when we had horrible service. The previous visit in April 2015 was great with awesome service. On that visit I left with my mouth still drooling over how great the burger was. May 2nd we were sat in the atrium room. Our server was a young man named Brian who did an good job based on the circumstances. It certainly seemed Brian was over-sat numerous times and even double sat while we dined leaving us to resort to his colleagues for refills on our beverages. This is not at all bad because Over the Falls has a very good team work system in place to ensure ultimate guest satisfaction. Does it always work, certainly not but it helps to have a great team. For our experience everything seemed to work out just fine. We both shared a small order of the house chips which I would argue were better than my own chips, but my wife would beg to differ. I truly love the perfect balance of cheese, chives, and seasoning served with house made ranch dressing. If one wants to try Over the Falls you must try their chips. Our meal was simply pizza and for stone cooked it was pretty good. Granted I meddled with my pizza and it turned out not as great as I anticipated but was better than Cici's Pizza and by far better than domino's. I recommend sticking with what they know best and order off of the menu. My Wife had a scrumptious pizza called the Big Kahuna but we omitted the Jalapenos. The Big Kahuna was kind of their Hawaiian pizza covered cheese and graced with Ham, Bacon, pineapples, and roasted red peppers. Lived in WF for over 20 years. Always loved this restaurant. But today - went at 5:45 with my friend from out of town. There was 30 minute wait for a table which is fine. But what was isn't at all okay is that we could not go get a cocktail INSIDE while waiting. No joke. It was 106 outside and we were told we had to wait outside. I don't have a suggestion for a solution. I just know this is a ludicrous option. Maybe just say no. We can't handle anymore this evening. But not this. We live in Wake Forest and this is a local favorite. We go regularly and have never had a bad experience. We have gone several times during this COVID mess and it's been great. When there was a wait it wasn't too bad and the food is still just as good. I have done pick up several times and the quality is still consistent. I would highly recommend over the falls. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was terrific. I would describe it as up-scale pub food. It has the classics that everyone knows and loves but it is all packed with much more flavor. Their sizes are very reasonable. I left thoroughly full. I ordered their version of a steak and cheese sub with 5 or 6 types of peppers on it. It was a great guilty pleasure food. Certainly not the healthiest thing I have ever eaten but so worth it! What I loved about their menu as a whole is that there were easily 5 or 6 things I could have ordered and would have been very content. I certainly will be going back again to try some of their other intriguing options! Also, be sure to ask about their special of the day! My wife got it when we went and it was exceptional. read more

On our road trip from Philly to Raleigh, we popped in here for some wings and happy hour beers and you basically had to roll us out of there a few hours later. Crispy, finger-lickin' good wings with just the right amount of spice!! Traveled a tad out of my comfort zone and opted for the pb &jelly burger which was basically, the bomb in a bun. We were very pleased. We had an excellent spinach salad -- crisp and fresh. And a goddess sandwich with grilled chicken. The servers were very help and service was prompt. A nice vibe: plainly a neighborhood place, with families and locals. One note: it's a bit hard to spot at first. At least in winter, when they don't have outdoor dining, the windows are dark, and it's not clear it's open. Also, as with so many places in our area, it's in a little strip mall. We go out of our way to support local and have given OTF, several opportunities but this past weekend will be our last. Overall the food and menu are decent though not a differentiator, as other local establishments have comparable or better menus. Where OTF fails is the value they place on customers. Their seatings policies are candidly the worst of any restaurant in the area. They double down on these policies by employing the rudest hosts in the area. To be specific, the following are the policies, that we think are adverse to a business in the service industry: 1. Customers are not permitted to wait inside in the waiting area. 2. Customers are not permitted to wait at the bar. 3. They will not seat parties at tables larger than the party. Specifically, they refuse to seat a party of two in a booth that seats four, even if requested. 4. There is a 90 minute time limit on your table. Yes, they will escort you out after 90 minutes, if you are not finished. 5. When they notify you that your table is ready, if you take longer than 5 minutes, they will not seat you. 6. There is no open seating at the bar. The hostesses enthusiastically enforces these policies. This past weekend we witnessed them refuse to allow and obviously handicapped elderly woman and the two people with her to wait inside even though the outside temperature was in the upper 40s. Really? The party left and went somewhere else. Our own experience involved us inquiring if the bar was open seating. We were told "yes, but there are no seats at this time." We requested to be put on the wait list and then periodically checked the bar. When we noticed that there were seats, we attempted sit down but we're told we could not sit at the bar. When we inquired why, this is when we learned that the bar was not open seating despite being told differently. When we brought this to the hostess attention, she escalated the conversation by hollering at us and informing us that "this is how businesses operate and we should learn something about business". When we laughed (because my husband is CEO of multimillion dollar, six state company), she got even more rude, berating us as we left to go elsewhere. The rest of the story is that we didn't even make it to our car, when we received a text that our table was ready. When we responded that we decided not eat at their establishment, the hostess took another opportunity to inform us that she was in the right and that we were trying to jump others who had been waiting. Needless to say, we will not be back. This type of service may work while Wake Forest continues to grow but if they can't learn to value their customers, their time will flame out. Bottom line, go somewhere else where they value you business. You will get equal or better food and be treated with respect. read more

Absolute 5 stars. The staff, the ambiance, the menu both food and drink, and lastly the prices. I chose to sit at the bar where i was greeted by Rob (after being Hi'd by 3 other employees) who is an awsome guy that knows his stuff. I asked about the bourbons of which he recommended i start off with the Apple Pie Bourbon......great choice, it was beyond smooth and flavorful. So, that was just what i needed to get my tastebuds jumping as i fought hard not to order the entire menu!! I mean seriously, im not an indecisive person and know i'll be back to try other stuff, but this time.....i seriously wanted everything. I ordered the Aloha Burger WHICH i might add does NOT have to be a burger. You can get it, as well as the other choices on the menu, on grilled chicken, fried chicken, and something else if im not mistaken. So, basically im saying this place is an all out pleaser!!! The Aloha comes with Red Dragon sauce (not spicy for you non-spicy eaters ), Habenero Jack Cheese, the all time fan favorite BACON, slices of Avacado, and Pineapple Pico De Gallo........yea, you can say "Daaaaaang" again!! The Pico was very fresh and crisp tasting and an UH-MAY-zinnnng compliment to the burger itself. Now, for my side i asked for sweet potato fries.....i like to think of myself as.....a S.P. Fry snob (it is what it is; haha). These were, without a doubt, thee BEST S.P. Fries i've ever had. Flavor, texture, crispness, not overloaded with salt....just freakin doggon good...(i wish i got some to go now). I couldnt get to the burger fast enough because my fingers wouldnt stay out of the fries. This is my longest review since joining Yelp and honestly i cant wait to go back to tell you all more.
