Great sandwhiches! Original creations with great meats. Anyone can find something here. I personally like the Downtowner as well as the Wrecker. The wrecker is a work of art, with at least a 1/2 lb of turkey and roast beef as well as pepper - cheese and a spicy spread. Delicious, but not for the faint of tongue. Decent, but not great. Our server was really ditzy, and didn't seem to know much about the menu. I asked the difference between the small and large salad and her first response was, "I don't know, it depends who makes it," and then, "The large is about the size of a plate of nachos." Neither of which was helpful. Everyone liked their food, but no one was blown away. My husband ordered one of the pizzas and he liked it, but the crust was really strange - very flaky, more like a deep dish crust, but it was thin like traditional crust. Not bad, just different. My salad was fine. Dressing is homemade. We ordered the whiskey flight (our server couldn't give us much information about that either) and it was fine, though I wouldn't call any of them "infused" it was more like whiskey mixed with whatever (Example: the coffee infused was clearly whiskey mixed with coffee not infused with coffee). Vibe of the restaurant is nice and it's casual. I've heard good things about the live music nights but have not been. Would consider going back if a friend really wanted to go or something like that, but wouldn't go back of my own accord. read more

Don't let the name mislead you; Over The Falls is more than just a deli. First, it's a clean well laid out restaurant with exceptional bar. Top shelf whiskeys can be sampled for a more than reasonable $8 which will get a nice taste of 4 different labels. I tried a couple of appetizers this time; the Buffalo Mozzarella and their shrimp appetizer, both very good. The food here is very good, the portions are generous. They have live music here on the weekends, usually a singer and a guitar. The times that I have seen them, they all been very good. Staff is very attentive, it's a very nice place and as a local I would surely recommend them to anyone. read more

It wasn't a great experience but I wasn't a bad experience. Food was mediocre with minimal taste. In fact the French fries were greasy and soggy. They remade them and they were better but not great. The fish fry was ok but again, not great. The prices are not appropriate for quality of food. I think this place is a once and done and nothing write home about. My husband and I came here for the first time tonight. We got there around 8pm, knowing they closed at 9pm. We chose to grab a seat at the bar (the booth section, not the actual bar). The service was quick and we both ordered a glass of wine. I enjoyed my Sauvignon Blanc and he enjoyed his Pinot Noir. We told our server this was our first time here and that we'd need more time before we placed our order. We asked our server what she recommended on the menu and she said it depended on what we wanted. We told her a burger or a sandwhich (we didn't want pizza and their entree options are limited). She said she was a fan of cheese and bacon and again said, "it depends on what you want." Talk about useless; she was of no help at all. W After contemplating going to the Japanese restaurant nearby and finally deciding to stay there, we ended up ordering dinner. I was adament that I would hate it; I was actually dead set on not enjoying it, no matter what. I ordered the reuben sandwhich (called the Brink maybe) and my husband ordered the steak sandwhich (the Midtown maybe, idk). We ordered fries with both and an extra side of cole slaw. I must say that was the best reuben I've ever had, IMO. Like I said, I was dead set on hating eaitng here, but I cannot deny that sandwhich - it was great! Even the fries were great too! You do have to pay an extra $.50 for any dipping sauce (ranch, bleu cheese, buffalo, etc...) their homemade bleu cheese was fantastic! My husband really enjoyed his steak sandwhich as well; it was very flavorful. The side of close slaw... that might as well be a small side salad - it was so much! We're not complaining because we love cole slaw, but it was served n a soup bowl. Halfway through our meal, we could see the people leaving the restaurant, around 8:45 or so. Around that very same time, our waiter asked if we wanted more wine, and in a really snotty way, stated that it was last call. As soon as we were delivered our last drink (around 8:50), the hostess mentioned that the front floor was wet and wanted to make sure we saw the 'Sign is Wet' sign so we didn't hurt ourselves. We appreciated that... right then and there, our waiter came right up near our table and left the mop/bucket sitting there. We both could immediately smelled the 'dirty water' and almost wanted to just leave (even though we just had our wine glasses filled). In the end we decided to drink the wine we PAID FOR, then talk about the review we'd give on Yelp. All in all, we both really enjoyed the food, but the disappointment, lack of attention and overall careless attitude of the staff is what will deter us of even contemplating coming back here. Definitely not a good experience. Tried calling to place an order and the call would not go through. Drove 20 minutes because I heard the food was good for the hostess to tell me she couldn't not help me and I had to keep calling. I asked if I could just place my order with her and she told me NO takeout is it's own section and I just have to keep calling. Whenever I'm in the Wake Forest area this is one of my go to spots! They've got great drinks and my personal favorite dish is their buffalo wings but I frequent their salads often as well! The service is always great and the farm house chic decor makes the perfect environment for nearly all occasions. We love this place. OTF is a great littis place in downtown Wake Forest. It's a great place to take the whole family, and yet also a nice place to go on a date night. The food is excellent, and they have absolutely the best wings in the area. They are the go to for catering on Super Bowl Sunday.
