The service is good and they are open really late, 2AM I believe. They were a little light on the seasoning, I found some items bland while others had tons of flavor - but overall it was good. Chicken wrap: good amount of chicken and tastes better than it looks. Definitely needed the sauce. Popcorn chicken: we got the spicy and it was a very subtle but good level of heat. You don't feel the heat until after, like a slow burn. Could use a little more seasoning (salt?). It was very bouncy, crispy and the chicken was good quality. Grilled wings: didn't have much flavor. Pistol Leg: we got spicy and this was loaded with flavor! It reminded me of Popeyes spicy chicken (flavor wise) but fresh and not as oily. The spice was different on this one, much more heavy and I could feel it in my stomach. French fries: fresh fried potatoes! They look similar to McDonald's but taste better. Crisp with pure potato flavor and it does not have that signature oil/fry smell like McDonald's. They offer ketchup, ranch, bbq sauce, and some powder seasoning, although I think it would be better if they had more dipping sauce options. I love the popcorn chicken bc it's bite sized and literally a quality piece of chicken compared to chicken nuggets. Ordered the spicy chicken burrito roll, grilled wings, fried wings, fries and rice. The chickens were crispy, tender, and juicy especially the grilled wings. The spiciness is acceptable. I was craving their original popcorn chicken. The light crispy, batter fried, well seasoned dark meat chicken got me hooked. Phone in my order. Illegally park at a neighboring business and ran in get my chicken. They added noodles to their menu. I will have to come back and try it. At a glance it reminded me of the Taiwanese beef noodle soup, but the owner said Overlord Chicken was a chain in Republic of China. Wasn't familiar with the province he mentioned. Young female cashier provides a No nonsense. No smile service. Wish she told me that I had to ask for the dipping sauce. The popcorn chicken would have tasted better with the white dipping sauce. The spicy wings had great flavor, not too spicy I will have to order the more spicy version next time I'm in Honolulu. So like I told you guys I would I went back the next day and the day after ... besides the whole chickens I've tried everything on the menu at this point. The nuggets were fluffy and bouncy with each bite but the outside was nice and crispy. The chicken wrap was of course tasty and those grilled wings are way more delicious than I ever expected. Now that popcorn chicken WAS THE WORD. Better than the nuggets and are legit. And I like the spicy level on them so much. It the type that gets your mouth and lips warm but not your stomach. They had a small station of what ingredients to choose from for our bowls. The amount for the bowls depended on the weight. I believe mine was around a pound and was $20. I got the traditional flavor and spice level 3. I would recommend the tomato flavor as it had much more flavor than the original and didn't leave a weird feeling in my throat. Decided to finally try out Overlord Chicken. Love the name and was really intrigued by how it might compare to other chicken places. We were so lucky finding parking right in front of the restaurant. It was meant to be (I do have great parking karma ). Walking up to the shop I noticed not the chicken, but the make your own noodles bar. Not what I was expecting and I was sorely tempted to try the noodles but I had come here for the chicken and so eventually decided to go for that. My husband and I split a combo #5 that came with one chicken sandwich, one chicken roll, 2 spicy wings, 2 grilled wings, French fries, and 2 fountain drinks. We got ours spicy. The chicken was nice and juicy on everything. Preferred the fried spicy wings over the grilled and the sandwich and roll had nice large pieces of chicken. The spice was subtle and not overpowering. Definitely a delicious lunch. Of note, the two other tables in there were having the noodles. Will have to try that next time! read more

My son loves chicken and I was trying to think of a place after work/school and during rush our traffic. We live nearby, and as I was approaching using GPS..I was like oh I found metered parking right in front! When I walked in, it was empty and there was a sign that said they had customer parking behind. The cashier was nice and immediately offered my son a lollipop. He was very nice. When the order was ready, he dropped it off to us at the table we were waiting on and pushed the seat in for my son so he could walk and opened the door for us on the way out! Came here on a Sunday and was greeted by a sweet worker in the front. I find it interesting that this place is right across another fried chicken fastfood chain. The restaurant itself is quite spacious and is very clean. Parking can be a hassle as there is only street parking. We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and also an original overlord chicken combo to try. The spicy chicken sandwich comes with a little plastic container with some chili powder but unfortunately there really wasn't a kick for me to warrant it as spicy It does take time to get your order, but the wait is worth it because I like that they don't serve you cold chicken. The chicken is crispy that was perfectly breaded, and piping hot when it was served to us. The meat is moist and we loved the light seasoning they used. Nothing beats hot and crispy fried chicken. Decided to try Overlord as I always drive past but wasn't sure what it was until I saw its reviews on Yelp. I had 2 preconceived notions prior to eating there. 1, it must be Asian due to the signage. The marketing , signage and delivery is something you'd see in China or Singapore, and 2, it better be damn good if it's directly across the street from Popeyes Fried Chicken! Both of my notions were correct. Now, on to my experience... I called in my order 15 minutes prior, but when I arrived I told them who I was and the counter help seemed to notify the cook to start mine. This defeated my whole purpose of my call in order. I had to wait another 15 minutes. My order came out in 3 little bags: 2 for my 8 piece spicy wings and 1 for popcorn chicken. Both were piping hot and I happily took both home to eat. When I got home 45 minutes later, the chicken was still hot, very crispy and not oily. They gave 3 sauces: spicy powder, bbq and ranch. Both chicken were already flavored nicely and not too salty or bland. The spicy wings were spicy, perfect for me, but a little too spicy for my kids. I'd have to say my favorite is the popcorn chicken as they are perfectly bite sized and effortless to eat. Overlord will be on my regular go to list! read more

We made an early lunch date and arrived just before noon. We got street parking right in the front. There were three stalls open. We paid the meter and went inside. The store was empty. It was nice and clean. They have a single restroom and the cutest decor. We checked out the menu and the first thing that caught our eye was the overlord chicken. I mean literally it's a whole chicken deep-fried indeep-fried in this very thin batter that's like a corn starch batter or something. Anyways, totally amazing. It was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We also got popcorn chicken and french fries and let me tell you,....... you know that they know what they're doing and the oil is clean if you can eat the fries after it has totally cooled off. However, this place had a light, crispy and seasoned perfectly bites of chicken with a light spicy kick. It was delicious. I wasn't disappointed with the spicy tenders either. I like the spicy more then the regular, it had more flavor. The spicy level was not super high, but was very flavorful. But I also like spicy. One of the best customer service I've experienced so far! Me and my bf finished a late night movie and we're craving some fried chicken. It was almost 1 AM in the morning and saw that this place was still open so we gave it a try. The cashier was very friendly with us and while waiting for our food he let us pick a movie we could watch on YouTube since it was late and there were no other customers around! He even dimmed the lights and turned on the rgb lights which I think was hilarious. He gave us the remote so we could search for anything we wanted to watch on YouTube. Moving onto the food, it really surprised me on how good it was. I initially thought the chicken would taste stale since we were popping by late at night but everything was made fresh.
