The tacos were terrible, the meat was dry and had no flavor at all. On the other hand at least the chili was good.

Once you figure out how to order food this place was amazing. We were lucky to find a parking place, quickly walked in and then got confused. You don't sit first,but look over the menu and walk over to the cashier to order. Seemed a little chaotic trying to figure out what was going on. I had the torta ahogada. It was perfectly made pork within a French baguette covered in a tomato sauce or salsa. My boyfriend had the chicken tacos which were the special of the day. The food was excellent. I do not use yelp like. At all. But this place was so nice that I had to dust it off just to give credit where credit is due. Food was fresh and delicious, the restaurant was clean and really aesthetically on point. Gender neutral bathrooms are a plus as well. And the workers were wonderful! Super friendly and helpful! Good experience despite 2 different waitresses spilling water on our counter/us 2 separate times! But they gave us 2 pieces of cake to make up for it :). This place needs help! We used to love coming here for interesting food, but things have gone downhill. The place needs a good deep clean, the counters had crumbs all over them, the kitchen did not look tidy and the bathroom was downright disgusting. The servers were friendly, which is an improvement from previous encounters. We ordered the tacos of the day, some wings and a grilled chicken sandwich. My husband had the horchata and I had one of their house made juices. The drinks were very sweet, but tasty. My chicken sandwich was downright boring and the fries I ordered never arrived. My husband liked his beef tacos and chicken wings, but they were nothing special. I am disappointed in what used to be a cool place to stop into. read more

This place has friendly service. I found it to be clean and quick (we came 5-6pm). They helped us out right when we walked in cause we looked lost, they explained how it works right away. You place your food order all the way to the right, along the inside counter. Next look for a place to sit, as seating is at a premium here. Maybe they've started having people wait to be seated, but that was not the way it was when we went. It was not too bad of a wait for the food. Food was good; place was crowded. We ate along a counter under the front windows. Had to steal ketchup from down the counter. No conversation privacy. Everyone can hear what everyone else is saying. This place exceeded expectations. The decor is very hip. Think modern diner with swag. Large portions, good prices, authentic and well put together dishes, with a great staff to boot. We let Keith (the guy who greeted us with enthusiasm) decide what 2 dishes we would try. -chicken fried chicken (served with cilantro potatoes)- 3 pc. Tender, juicy, nicely seasoned chicken with a cheesy creamy gravy that was similar to an Alfredo. Delicious. -2 eggs any style (sunny on our order) served with cilantro potatoes, toast, and jalapeño bacon. The eggs were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Cilantro potatoes were crunchy on the outside moist on the inside, cheesy, well seasoned, And steaming hot when they hit the counter. The toast was crispy and the perfect complement to the eggs and bacon to make sammies with! The jalapeño bacon is to die for. Thick sliced cured bacon with a smoky jalapeño bite that is just right. I am not a huge fan of spicy but this bacon was so good I had to order an additional side. The Horchata is fresh and on par with the best in California. A must try if you haven't had the pleasure before. Hibiscus tea?! This one caught us off guard but the staff was nice enough to let us sample and it tasted like a fresh made vitamin water Xxx. Spanish Kool-aid! Very refreshing. Without a doubt I will be back to try out the rest of the menu. read more
