Nothing here to complain about but you can tell they are trying to make things better than average and it's starting to show. Next the service. We were greeted by a very pleasant attendant who explained the premise of what goes on here. Long short of it? Self serve....mostly. You pull your own beer,you order food at the cashiers station, they bring you the chow. So saying the service here is exemplary is like saying you had the best cashier at the Walmart self checkout! What a wonderful place! Totally loved it. This was my first time here and I wish knew this place earlier ... this is a self-pour beer/wine place with some good food and nice interiors. The hostess showed us how to get going with the pouring. You can get them to help you pour, if you are like me who hasn't done it before and are worried about the beer head they have wine self pour options as well. The beers range from lighter ales and hefes to the porters/stouts. You get a card that is like your tab. You use that at the pouring stations and also to order food. The neat thing is the displays show how much you have poured and your current tab. My friends and I got our beers and ordered wings, fried cauliflower, fish and chips. The food was tasty. They have some hot sauces, if you like and the habanero sauce is crazy spicy The waitstaff are very friendly and took good care of us. Nope. The only reason it gets two stars is because of the kid friendly atmosphere. The food is meh. We had Buffalo wings (soggy), steak salad (chipotle knock off but twice the price), pretzel (ok except they put fruit and meat ON it which leads to a wet soggy pretzel if it sits) and kids grilled cheese (fine). Here's the gimmick. Or scam, actually. If you're drinking a beer, you're paying for half a cup of head. You pay as the tap pours. There's a reason you've never been to a serve yourself bar. Anyone knows you need to let the tap run a few seconds before bringing the glass. $8 for half a glass of foam and half of beer. No thanks. read more

Great team working here, talked to the owners and really stoked to have such an awesome beer garden here. Very easy to use innovative system and I love pouring my own beer. Many local beer options and it made realized I was missing the ability to control not only my choice of beer but the amount as well. This is fun! Ugh. I wanted to like this. I mean REALLY wanted to like this, because I want to encourage beer-related innovations. But, this did not happen. Instead I ended up with a pretty lousy (but probably typical) experience. It begins when you check in and you are given a card for making all of your purchases. No problem there. Now you have to buy your beer. There are glasses there so you fill your own. The problem is that you are being charged BY THE OUNCE, not by the beer. And those are expensive ounces. Let's say you go to pour one and it is half foam. You just paid for a full glass. And got half. Now you top it up to get a full beer, like any bartender would do. Now you have a single beer at the 1.5 beer cost. THAT YOU HAD TO POUR YOURSELF (wait for it, more on this later). The beer is equivalent to ~$6 for a 12oz beer, which is what a 16oz pint will cost you anywhere else in the city. Then you order your food at a kiosk. 2 of us ordered almost the exact same thing (pretzel and salad). He ordered first, mine came out first, while he waited 10 minutes (place was empty). My pretzel had no salt, with mustard (too little) and queso. No option in ordering to specify. His was all queso, not mustard - but it had salt. Neither salad had dressing on them, someone had to go get that for us. Then the real problem - the system is hard-coded to add a 15% tip. YOU pour the beer, YOU order the food, someone carries your food 50' from the kitchen to you and grabs a 15% gratuity for the whole meal for walking those 25 steps. Now, you can tell them that you don't want to add a tip (at the beginning or go through a hassle at the end), but that makes you feel like a jerk. They were saying that they were going to "fix" this, but let's be honest - they should have known that this was a problem. Nope, not coming back. $48 for a flight of 4 small beers, a glass of wine, a salad and a pretzel. Would have cost a lot less anywhere else with better service and experience. read more

We loved the atmosphere here! Sitting outside on the upper patio for dinner was a fun experience. We had the carnitas nachos, brie and berry burger and chicken caesar salad. Cole was super helpful always checking in on us and even brought us waters when we forgot to get our own. All in all it was a lovely and lively dining experience. Don't confuse this with no service. It has some great people working at Oz. Since they have a self-serve beer and wine tap you will have some options. The people here will help, after that you won't want to stop going to the taps. So here is how it works. You order at the counter your food and beverage. If you choose beer and/or wine you get a card. When you go to the tap you insert your card and fill'er up. There are options of a sampler, mug, or glass. Once you made your choice get your beer (or wine) on. Awesome!! Let me say this. Food is great. Local owners (no corporate people running this place). Great atmosphere and beautiful location. It's ok. The hamburgers are "ok", mine was a little dry but still ok. The fries came out cold. Not luke- warm. Cold. The format of the restaurant is you go up to a counter and someone takes your order. You seat yourself and serve yourself drinks. In our case a gentleman plopped the trays in front whoever he thought deserved that particular dish and then sulked away without saying a word to us. The prices are the same as a full service restaurant, they also "suggest" a tip of 18-25%. I "get" the format of the place but I'm still trying to figure out what anyone did to deserve a tip. read more

Ok. My husband I had been here once before, the kids played on the structure, we had fun perusing the self serve beer and wine. We didn't like what we ordered (tacos) but thought it a viable close by dining option. Never went back until tonight for take out. We both got the same thing so we could talk about it. Pro- close by. Food was made quickly. Con- We still needed to heat food when we got home (2 miles) but not their fault. I guess the real problem was ordering a bbq burger and not finding any bbq. I had a "shmear" of sauce on my bun but that was about it. We concluded maybe because of not wanting the bun to be soggy in transport? I dunno. It makes sense then to provide it on the side and let the customer decide how much sauce they want to add. I suggest this. Still four stars, we will try again and hopeful we will find menu option that we can rave about. read more

Love the food! Lots of options and creativity. It's really great to get food to go and I like to order delivery through many different delivery services. The outside seating is comfortable and semi covered with a small playground for kiddos. The drink selection is plentiful. However, since the beer is self serve, one can inadvertently acquire too much foam- ruining the beer. This is my main critique. Pouring a good beer is a bit of an acquired technique. My grievance is that the first few ounces of the tap are very foamy. So when I go to draft a beer, I have to either drain the tap slightly to get a steady stream (while paying for every ounce) or risk getting a super foamy beer which no one likes. So I love the concept and everything about the business... but totally ask someone for help if you aren't comfortable pouring a beer. The owner was kind enough to get me a fresh pint on his dime!
