The baked lobster roll here is delicious. I'm not a sushi expert but I really enjoyed the food here.

Came here for my birthday with a big group of friends- about 7 of us. We heard through some friends that their happy hour is awesome- buy one beer get one for a dollar and their beers already $2.50. My man and I discovered this place when we stopped by Regal to watch a movie and what a good find!! Friendly staff and a bomb happy hour! I am rewriting my review. At first, I thought I found an amazing little sushi place. They greeted you at the door and made you feel like a valued customer. But since about a month or two ago, their customer service skills fall short. Way short. Today I stood infront of a waitress for five minutes before I got annoyed and sat outside. I came back and stood for another two minutes before she acknowledged me. Beyond annoyed at this point, my friend and I received terrible customer service as she took our orders. She took our meal orders and left without even asking what we wanted to drink. I had to remind her a few times to bring out some soy sauce saucers. Finally, a fly. At the end of my meal, there was a dead fly in my rice. She insisted then to give me new rice, I denied. She insisted on giving me a new bento box, again I refused. After several minutes of explaining to her that I was disgusted and didn't want to eat there anymore, she comp'd my meal. Overall, this was a disappointing experience. I loved this place. My seven year old loves sushi and my nine year old loves Subway. Ozen's in a food court so we got a Subway sandwich for the one and brought it in to Ozen where we were going to order sushi for the other. I ordered spicy pork lunch box and i was very surprised that it was really spicy! I have expected it to be Japanese spicy, which is just mild. Anyway, the flavor was very good, and I just had to drink a lot of water and eat tons of rice to go with the pork. Service was good, everyone was very friendly. read more

Sorry but this place is a big disappointment when it comes to sushi. I just ordered the lunch crunch sushi combo. The 4pc. sushi tasted like it's been sitting out and not cold. Not yummy at all. Was nice place close to home. Miso soup is free, order all you want but this soup is very salty, I enjoyed the foothill roll. My favorite was the spicy tuna roll. They are pushing there octopus salad it is cooked, taste like Chinese chicken salad except with octopus. read more

I was up visiting my sister in the area and we decided to check this place out for lunch. There was only one other party in the restaurant when we got there but since it's fairly new I didn't think anything of it. Service was great even if they were a little inexperienced. We were checked up on and our waters were refilled regularly without having to ask. This standard of service is quite a rare site when it comes to sushi restaurants. The salad and rolls were quite tasty. I'd give this place four or even five stars except for one little problem; only half of the sushi we got was fresh... even from the same rolls. It tasted like it had been sitting in the display too long. I know they're new so I'll cut them some slack and I'd even go here again if I'm up in there area. I just can't give them the awesome rating I wanted to. read more

I love Ozen!!! It's one of my absolute favorite sushi joints in the area. They've got a great selection of rolls that are all very reasonably priced. They also have happy hour every day, which makes for an even better deal. Sit at the bar if you can -- the sushi chefs are all super friendly (especially Danny, I think his name is) and will often give you little dishes that you can't find on the menu, free of charge! read more

Jozu! Went there for lunch, and was pleased with their food and service. I can't believe the reviews which get racial about Koreans operating a Japanese Sushi restaurant. What is this Nazi Racial Purity? A lot of Korean's open Japanese places because there isn't as big a demand for Korean places which have barbeques and Kim-chee (which I love). That kind of profiling is ridiculous. Do the owners of Italian Restaurants need to be Italian? One of the best Teppan Yaki chefs I ever was served by was a Mexican dude at a Mammoth Lakes, Beni Hana. I'll admit, a 'food court' within a stones throw of a movie theater seems like a red flag for a sushi restaurant. Hear me out though, visit on a Friday or Saturday night when the head chef is there and this is a good sushi dinner. I don't really eat rolls, so I can't comment on those, but you can pretty much order Omakase style and the chef will deliver fresh, marinated sushi that doesn't require any of that soy sauce / fake wassabi soup that Americans think they need to drench their sushi in. With that being said, I've been here when the head chef isn't working and it's... run of the mill. Friday or Saturday night at 7 or 8pm is like magic though. If you're in the vicinity during those times, check it out. read more

As a customer who has ordered (to go) often, I'm pretty disappointed in your service today! I called for take out and was put on hold (by the name of Karen) and left me there for more than 3 minutes. So, I decided to go there after all. As I was driving, I decided to call again and see if I can order as I was driving up. This gal named Karen answered and again I was immediately put on hold again! I kept my phone on. I parked my car. I walked into the restaurant and told Karen that I am still on hold (showing my phone). From the time I left my home to the restaurant, this was a 10 minute hold!!!!!! The phone was still on the counter and she said that the customers inside were her priority. I'm an outside customer looking to order sushi.....I'm still a customer! I will never order here again! Sad because I liked there sushi, but today's service was very poor!! read more

Where do I start? Fresh sushi, awesome bar service, and great prices! The 5 stars are for sitting at the sushi bar. The sushi chefs are always so friendly. You almost always get a free treat. :) I've sat at the tables and the service isn't exactly the best. It takes much longer to get your food and there's only one server for all the tables. As far as fresh sushi, the best I've had in the RSM/Foothill Ranch area. Make sure you try this place, you won't be disappointed. read more
