We have always enjoyed eating at PF Chang's, but our most recent visit to the Anaheim location was disappointing. The dine-in meal itself was good, although the portion sizes seemed smaller than they used to be. What really surprised us was our usual order of two side Lo Meins to go. We've ordered these many times over the years, but this time the portions were dramatically reduced while the price increased. The side Lo Mein used to cost about $3. It now costs $4, yet the serving was only about 4 ounces--filling only about one-quarter of the to-go container. When we asked our server about it, she explained that the company had reduced the standard portion size to 4 ounces. Paying more money for a fraction of the food is disappointing and represents poor value for the price. We understand that costs increase, but reducing the portion this dramatically while raising the price leaves loyal customers feeling shortchanged. We hope PF Chang's reconsiders this decision, because it's changes like these that make longtime customers think twice about coming back. read more

I went here on a weekday around noon for their lunch special and I have to say it's pretty disappointing. I got the lunch combo with brown rice, beef and broccoli, a hot and sour soup, and as well as a pomegranate lemonade. The lunch combo was pretty small for the price it was at. It didn't feel like there was much beef or broccoli which is surprising since I know a lot of other places tend to overload on broccoli over beef. The beef was pretty dry and felt overcooked even with the sauce on top which was wasn't much. The lemonade was pretty light in terms of taste. Went for my first time ever yesterday for my birthday with my friends. For starters, our server Anthony was amazing, one of, if not the best server I've ever had. We had a couple of the appetizers including the shrimp dumplings and the lettuce wraps. Both were amazing. Then, we had the spicy chicken, Mongolian beef, and the crispy honey chicken. Micheal was the best! When we were seated the hostess told we were sitting outside, which I thought was weird for a slow restaurant, party of two on a very hot day. No choice given. Food and drinks were all good. Micheal made great recommendations and was pleasant throughout our entire meal. FYI ~ if you are seated on patio, it seems employees take their breaks there so you will be either entertained by their conversations or creeped out by them staring at you. We used to love going to P.F. Chang's cause the food was always hot and fresh. Tonight was the worst experience I have ever had. The shrimp fried rice was cold and the Kung pow chicken was deep fried and dried out. We told the bartender Sam, he made another attempt at the Kung pow chicken, which was not fried and the sauce had no flavor at all. although the second dish was hot, it was disgusting also. I will never never ever go back to P.F. Chang's. Then the bartender comped one of the dishes thinking that would suffice. He got zero tip.! Lesson learned... I love that this restaurant is in the garden walk and close by the parks and hotels. It was a quick walk from our hotel. We had the chefs feast with egg drop soup, pan seared dumplings, bejing beef and teriyaki chicken. Our entrees were good, there was a good balance of veggies and meat. The food was ok. I think maybe because it was busy they did our food like whatever. Meat didn't taste good and the noodles were didn't have flavor even if the sauce was there. The chili oil didn't have flavor. The soy sauce or whatever sauce was on the table didn't do nothing to the plate. Every other table around us their food was good from what I was ear hustling. The guy working Take Out on 5/13/26 at 6pm needs to be promptly fired. He is incompetent, insolent, and a liar. I ordered for delivery through the PF Chang website, which they outsource to DoorDash. Only 2 of the 5 items I ordered were delivered. The Dasher didn't speak a word of English, so I call the store where I talk to the biggest clown I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I ask why they don't have someone reviewing the order with the Dashers before sending it off. He says they do. When I said they obviously don't, he admits they just leave the orders on an open table and Dashers just pick it up and walk off. When I responded saying it's ultimately the restaurant's responsibility to ensure everything is there, he said it's not their job to do so and that the Dashers should be doing that. He follows with a lie saying he personally reviewed my order with the Dasher before sending it off. OK, so which is it? You leave the orders on a table for Dashers to blindly take, or you review each one and hand it to the Dasher? This fool couldn't keep his lies straight, nor would be take any accountability for his massive F-up. All he did was blame DoorDash. Came here after an eventful day at VidCon. The place was deserted, but had the regular P.F Change ambiance. We were seated immediately at the bar and tended to by our wonderful server Sam. Sam was attentive, efficient, kind and insightful in helping us choose some food and wine selections. We went right at the start of happy hour and lemme tellll ya! P.F might have some of the best happy hour, everything is $5. We didn't go too crazy tho because we had a long drive home after. We ordered the Pan Fried Shrimp Dumplings, Hand Folded Crab Wontons, Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Chili-Garlic Green Beans and the Sesame Chicken. Located in the Anaheim Garden Walk on W. Katella Ave. and S. Clementine St. Parking in the structure is free with the restaurant's validation. We walked in for dinner and waited about 10 minutes to be seated. The hostess was not friendly or welcoming, but we had a good server, so that made our experience better. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and organized with a full sized bar. We tried their 'California Roll', 'Changs Chicken' and 'Signature Beef Lo Mein'. We got picked up for dinner to celebrate our friends birthday. They wanted to go to PF Chang's, sounded delicious. We had reservations for 7 o'clock, so we got seated right away. For drinks I ordered the Pomegranate Lemonade which was perfectly tart and sweet, beer and Mojitos. For the the kids food they ordered orange chicken, My daughter ordered the chow mein for kids comes with chicken as well. We all shared the Mongolian beef, Kung pow beef, honey shrimp, and an order of the orange chicken. The Mongolian beef was delicious. The honey shrimp was perfect a little crispy a little sweet, the Mongolian beef was tender a little sweet juicy with lots of scallions, the orange chicken was delicious to me, but because our friend has an allergy to certain foods, the spicy was way too much for her and for the kids since they like the orange chicken as well the spice was also too much for them, except the kids orange chicken was more like chicken nuggets with the side sauce of the orange chicken sauce, which was kind of strange. But the spice level was too much for them. Our waitress her name was Tiara, she honestly wasn't that great, and that's why I had to give it four stars. She had no smile on her face. She didn't check on us. She did not refill our drinks and when our friend asked for no green onions in the orange chicken are friends ordered because of an allergy they still brought it with green onions so she couldn't eat it but we could. They ordered another plate of the orange chicken without the onions and Tiana brought out a bowl of the sauce, my friend said we asked to order another orange chicken without onions not a bowl of sauce. It took a very long time to come out so my friend asked for the manager her name was Avery she was awesome, so helpful and friendly, she got us another order of something else for the kids because the 2nd plate of the orange chicken for them was even spicier which it was. Avery was awesome, she is a fantastic manager, we felt bad for complaining but our server was not good at all She made the experience so much better, I don't like writing reviews that talk badly about servers because I know that it's not easy being a server, and I'm sure she works hard but tonight she didn't even try. Avery took great care of us. She's an excellent manager. We ended up ordering desserts at the end, two orders of the fried bananas, vanilla, ice cream, and fruit. I've never had anything like that, but it was very delicious and savory with a bit of crunch from the fried part of the banana and together with the vanilla ice cream and fruit mmmm yum. In 2016 I wrote a review for this location talking about how things had changed but that some things really stayed the same. Well, we went to P.F. Chang's this past weekend and recognized very little. My heart sort of breaks for what this restaurant has become, and I seriously doubt we'll be back. Here's what was good: ***The service was still good. We loved our server. He was personable and attentive. ***We liked our cocktails and loved the chicken lettuce wraps. They have a good cocktail menu with inventive alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. And the lettuce on the lettuce wraps have been changed from those perfectly round iceberg cups to stalks of romaine...this is I think an improvement. Here's what is not so good: ***The quality: Gone are the days of Chang's spicy chicken being chunks of white meat chicken dusted in potato starch and then tossed in the wok with the most delicious spicy and zesty sauce. Enter in the day of tiny scraps of chicken, deep fried and then thrown in some sauce. We could feel the difference (no literally, my arteries are still trying to work out what happened). ***The deep fry: When I worked at P.F. Chang's and granted it was in the early 2000's, there were only 4 things that were actually deep fried (the sweet and sour's and the crispy honey's). When our server asked how our food was, I told him we were surprised by how the food was so fried, like I'm talking Deep Deep fried! Our Mongolian tofu had the tiniest cut pieces of tofu so deep fried, if I closed my eyes I couldn't tell it was tofu. The server told us that almost all the dishes are fried these days and a little piece of me died. I understand that P.F. Chang's had to evolve to make it in the restaurant business. It's just evolved in something that is not for me. If I ever go back it will be for cocktails and lettuce wraps. read more

Decided to come here for lunch as my friend has never been here. Didn't wait too long to be seated and the waitress was very attentive to our table. Started with Changs spare ribs. Loved these as they were very tender and sauce is very tasty. The slaw that comes on the side was good too and had a little kick to it. Ordered lunch portion crispy honey shrimp, one of my favorite dishes. Comes over white rice which was ok, thought I asked for brown rice. There wasn't too much sauce covering it which I liked. The portion was just enough for lunch and was too full for dessert. Definitely recommend to to eat here especially if you have never been. This is the worst PFC we've ever been to. Ordered 5 dishes and an appetizer to go. 4 dishes were ordered gluten free. 1/4 of the GF dishes wasn't labeled gluten free (the others were) so I didn't know if I could eat it and 4 of us were supposed to be sharing plates. I get chicken pad Thai almost every time I order from PFC and I order it without the egg. Well, they left at least one other thing out. It didn't taste right. There were no peanuts or little brown shavey things, no carrots, just bland, dry noodles and a few green onions. They forgot the tofu also. Terrible terrible terrible. My son got the kung pao chicken and there was no celery at all, his favorite part (!!!) and tons of red peppers...too many peppers. It was also dry. Mongolian beef was dry and chewy. Chang's chicken was supposedly ok but I wouldn't know because it had no GF label on it so I couldn't eat it. Wtf is going on in this place? Total incompetence.
