Epic fail from service to food! The only bright spot was the host stand who was great on ensuring my table requests... due to bad backs we need to be at a regular table or a full booth... since a lot of their seating is banquet style this was a issue but they did great in getting us a table... Technically inside they are social distancing... EXCEPT for the two tables against the wall by the takeout door. This location was slammed tonight (Friday) so line snaked into the dining area with those waiting standing just behind the tables... so not social distanced. We would gave left if we had been sat there While we were promptly greeted when we sat down we weren't ready to go more than ask for a Diet Coke for me and water for the hubby... it was a good 15 minutes before a different server arrived... she indicated she was our main server. At this point we ordered and I knew things were going to be confused... they do happy hour from 5-6 so it was. But till we figured out the wine pour for my husband and the pricing... we placed our order of egg roll, 1 hot and sour soup, and then as our main the Kung pao Brussels sprouts and the Peking duck that is on their seasonal menu. First up was the roll and soup... the soup was COLD... the egg roll was barely warm. We decided to send the soup back but eat the egg roll... but yo be honest both should have gone back. My husband indicated he didn't want the soup at this point so our waitress indicated she would have the manager remove it from the bill. Okay great... now usually when something is returned s manager pops put up check on things... nope never saw one.... Brussels sprouts arrived and while a touch in the sweet side they were nice and hot in temp... we nibbled but was really wanting with our duck It was a hood 15 minutes till the duck arrived... as a Peking duck it is a FAIL... it's a nice sliced roasted duck with a lot of five spice served in a Peking duck style but this isn't close to the definition of Peking duck... I expected slices of crispy skin... the fat scraped off and slices of meat... as I said this was a thick sliced duck with wimpy skin and a nice layer of fat... plus it came barely warm. My hubby insists the slice get poked was refrigerated cold and at that point he refused to eat any of it... I didn't think it was cold but just a touch warmer than room temp... we probably would have discussed this with someone but no one was around to talk to. So hubby focused on some rice and Brussels sprouts as his dinner... I ate a little of the duck and decided the rest would come home The waitress arrived finally and hubby ordered a different glass of wine and I a refill on my Diet Coke... the wine appeared bis a runner but my diet Coke never did... Finally the waitress appeared again and I asked for a diet home, a take out container, and the check... glad the check had a self pay option on it as I used that since the wait staff was again missing from our part of the dining room In our war out there were lots of folks waiting... suggest if you do go you utilize their reservation system to minimize things... also the takeout line was long... lots of cars lined up trying to get Togo orders which caused a major traffic jam with other cars trying to get thru. In general we don't go to PF Chang's because there are other authentic mom and pop kitchens in northern virginia with better food ... but we have enjoyed them in the past... but with all the issues it isn't just a service issue but IMO a kitchen and overall management issue... read more

Wow. I haven't had PF Changs in several years and always thought it to be pretty good. I loved their Mongolian Beef and Lettuce wraps. The lettuce wraps this time around did not have the same fresh flavor as they did in the past and the Mongolian beef now just tastes like beef teriyaki a stick. Disappointing. I came in here recently for a late lunch/early dinner while I was waiting for a movie to start. The decor is an ultra-modern pan-Asian fusion. The service was quick and friendly. I got wagyu steak ($43.00), fried rice ($5.00), dynamite shrimp ($16.00), a glass of hakutsuru plum wine ($10.00), and chocolate souffle for dessert ($10.00). The wagyu steak was really good. You need to try it if you have never had it. It is a good steak with marbled fat throughout; it doesn't sound that great, but it is excellent. The dynamite shrimp was breaded and fried with spices cooked in to it. It was excellent. The plum wine was really good. It has the texture of thin maple syrup, with a taste intermediate between red wine and plum juice. Overall this place is good if you want to try Asian dishes you have never tried before. This is not a comment on service; Kenneth was as usual his very awesome self. The food has changed. It is definitely less healthy than 5, 10, 15 years ago, and definitely when they first came into being mid 90s. I don't know why- but the chicken is all breaded, the beef (which according to the menu is healthier for you) is overly sweet with sauce, and the chicken fried rice is somehow greasier with the chicken being dry (again a sort of sweetness not expected). There used to be a time where the spicy chicken dish was lightly breaded and generously sized pieces. Today, both the entrees were tiny little pieces; obviously not whole pieces of meat freshly chopped. Their drinks are $$$$, and in general the meal that included 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, chicken fried rice to share, and 3 drinks (2 drinks and an extra shot) $113. I want a good meal that's freshly prepared and not frozen, and that is what this tastes like. Save yourself some money and buy the frozen PF Changs at the Giant- it's the same stuff. read more

Low rating for one main reason: deceptive calorie information on the menu. Every single item is listed at half the actual calories, then they put fine print on the bottom they all their dishes are considered 2 servings. This is a very transparent attempt to mislead people who are calorie counting, and I don't appreciate it. They don't want you to realize those green beans are a thousand calories. It has nothing to do with "they're meant to be shared", just look at the pictures, most dishes are not 2 meals worth of food. And older menus just showed the actual correct calorie information. It's too bad, because some of the dishes have a steamed version (which reduces calories) and the mongolian beef is reasonable on calories too. Decor was nice, service was good. But I don't like to give my business (or good ratings) to companies that try to scam me. read more

My server Aalyiah was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The Korean BBQ spare ribs were possibly some of the best I've ever had. The entire experience was great. Garbage. Your better off financially and happiness to go to the grocery store, get the frozen version, and make it yourself. Why is that you ask? I'll share. The is a pre and current covid-19 review to compare the quality and service is the same, both times were horrible. A few months ago, Dec '19, the wife takes her mom and sisters out for the moms bday. Starts with slow service. Continues with the wrong order. Ends with a lackluster performance and no one enjoyed dinner. Let's give this another shot and order take out, 16 Apr 2020. We order Mongolian beef which had hardly enough for 1 serving despite the bowl big enough for 4x the amount that was there. The sesame chicken was more batter than chicken. The lo mein was majority onion based (a la Panda Express) and the pork fried rice turns out to be dried chicken instead. The white rice was filed about 2/3 the way in each container. Oh, but they made up for it with 87 (exaggeration) fortune cookies!! Tip was included, convenient, but I'm accustomed to applying this myself during takeout, to include the current situation, no other restaurant has automatically applied tip during takeout, but I always leave a percentage and more so now I'm leaving extra bc the current situation isn't fair to the service industry. Now, before some manager gives me the "oh you should've called and we'd have made it right..." post/reply or that's not our company standard, please don't bother. I wouldn't have driven back out of my way during dinner and I'm electing to NEVER return and ensure others they are aware also. Should've done it right the first time, or limit your menu during these times, or don't be open at all. PEI WEI is a far better deal, faster, and better!!!! Best of luck if you dine here! read more

PGChang now is offering very poor svc, tiny portion, poor taste. Mongolian beef was one of the best fishes, unfortunately now it is terrible, few pieces of beef & 10 green stick of green onions. It is very sad, I hope they review their menu . 1/28/24: wonton soup, we are giving -10; greasy water, small chicken squares- tiny & no vegetables at all. Quality is declining every week. same for Kung Pago Brussels/ dish reduced in term of quantity. it is very sad; but it was great before; maybe recession causing this issue. read more

Terrible service! (Server with long dreads) -Forgets soft drink, 1/2 way through our meal asks if soft drink ever came ??? Aren't you the server wth? -Brings wrong appetizer and finally towards the end of our entrees brings the correct one out after asking. -Forgets to initially bring proper silverware once entrees arrive and asks how food was tasting when we had no utensils to eat. -Takes forever to do simple service. The tip reflects the service although the food was decent. Unfortunately reviews can go either way towards food or service and this is a service based review. Disappointed, I came here on a day I decided to dine in. I got seated by a kind door greeter. However, No one came to take my drink order or food order. It was about 32 minutes of me waiting while a few people got served but not one stopped and assisted me. Server's repeatedly walked pass me, crowded around at the serving bar to chat and giggle. This place was not packed at all. About 2 other tables of customers. One server finally happens to walk over and asked if I was waiting on an interview........ The service on here is consistently bad. Tonight it was with Bree. Below are the points: 1. Took 12 minutes to take a drink order when the place was empty and she had time to wipe down empty tables. 2. Extremely unfriendly. 3. Gave our highly peanut allergic son the regular lettuce wraps. Good thing we know that plate looks different and corrected her almost fatal mistake. 4. Took an extremely long time to bring drinks. 5. Asked for milk for our son. She said she would check to see if they have it. She never told us either way and just brought him water. 6. Gave the bill to our daughter to pay. 7. After waiting for 10 minutes for her to take the payment, watching her talk to the male server with curly hair. I finally went up and interrupted her conversion asking if I could pay. This is only a review of the Fairfax Corner P.F. Chang's location. This is a difficult review to write because P.F. Chang's is one of my family's go-to restaurants. We are a family of four and seldom have the opportunity to go out to dinner together, let alone agree on a restaurant. One of the things we appreciate about P.F. Chang's is the fact that they accept reservations, especially necessary for a weekend visit. Due to issues with their online reservation system, I called the local restaurant directly. The five minutes it took for someone to answer the phone was probably a sign of impending issues, but eventually someone answered the phone and confirmed our reservations for 7:30pm that evening. We showed up to the restaurant around 7:10pm and when I went to check in with the front desk, our reservation was nowhere to be found in their system. The hostess said it was probably due to a new employee not entering our reservation correctly. All she could do is shrug and say that she would try to get us seated as soon as possible. This probably should have been a second sign telling us that we should have gone elsewhere for dinner. At around 8pm we were eventually seated. The restaurant was clearly understaffed as there were tables waiting to be bused and tray stands dotted the aisles. Our server walked by a few minutes after we were seated and mentioned she would be with us soon. This gave us some time to notice just how rundown this P.F. Chang's location is. Our booth had several tears in the upholstery and our table and the carpet were dirty (the later could be due to not enough staff). After approximately 20 minutes our server was finally able to take our order. We have had this server previously and she has always been excellent, so this review is of no reflection on her or her service. Thankfully our food arrived quickly and was good. The truth is, there are so many great restaurants in our area to choose from (especially in this mid-price range) that after this experience, we may not return. Hadn't eaten here in awhile. We ordered take-out. Food was terrible, had no flavor and way over priced. We ordered Shrimp lo mein, Teriyaki Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Chicken Fried rice, H&S soup, pork dumplings and spring rolls. Everything was very bland. Teriyaki Chicken was very bland had no teriyaki flavor at all and broccolli was practically raw. Sesame chicken was also very bland and no flavor and broccoli was also practically raw and Fried rice was very dry. Pork dumplings were mediocre. Spring rolls had no flavor and a wierd aftertaste. Only the soup was good. Once upon a time, they were the gold standard but that is no longer the case. We wont be eating here again. read more

What happened to the food in PF Chang's in Fairfax? I ordered Kung Pao chicken that had large, lumpy chunks of deep-fried chicken meat, a handful of peanuts, and scarcely any sauce!! What happened to the lovely stir-fried dish with a nice covering of brown sauce and plenty of peanuts I usually get? This dish was dry and crunchy. Awful. Recently dined here and it was awful from the time we walked in the door. They appeared short staffed which is fine, I'm sure they're working to fix that. Our waiter had way too many tables and forgot several items we ordered. We were sympathetic about that! Bigger disappointment is the food didn't taste the same. We got spring rolls, Lo mein, and Orange Chicken. It all tasted terrible and wondered if recipes have been changed? The Orange chicken tasted Like spongey nuggets thrown in the microwave with a little buffalo sauce on top. It was all awful! Worst part is with tip, the bill was close to $100. I took small bites of everything and walked away. Expensive and gross! Never again. Oh! And I was sick to my stomach for a few days afterwards as well. read more

the food here is great, there are many options, and the portions are big. however if you're someone who cares about getting accurate nutritional measurements for what you're consuming then p.f. chang's would probably annoy you a little bit. all calorie contents for entrees have to be doubled which isn't something it says on the menu, just on the website. food is good but it's not clear how much you're actually eating. which again- may not matter to most, just something i noticed. waiters were incredibly friendly!! definitely recommend. read more

We had a great experience unlike some of the other reviews. We went here for Valentine's day and were surprisingly able to get a reservation. We were seated as soon as we entered, granted it was a 530pm dinner reservation. Our server was extremely attentive and polite, so amazing service! He also bought us extra white rice. I don't go PF Chang's often, the last time I rememeber going was about 5 years ago. I remember the portion sizes being too small, but this was not the case here, so maybe things have changed since then! Portion sizes were huge and food was delicious. We had enough leftovers for a lunch the next day. The only thing is that it's more expensive than your typical Chinese takeout. Similar menu items, so if you're craving something from a carryout, you can find it cheaper elsewhere. But if you're looking for a restaurant mood, then PF Changs works. read more

Got the vegetarian lettuce wraps and the vegetarian lo-mein. They both were exceptionally bland and tasted like they used frozen veggies. Look at the other reviews, I'm not the only one to complain about bland food in the last 6 months. Even their "guest services" replies and said they will let the establishment know... it here we are. No accountability. I expect the same BS canned response to this review...queue the robot! I would give this place 1 star if it wasn't for the good service, that's all they have going for them. We placed an online order for fried rice with chicken to go and the site said it would be 25 minutes. After the 25 minutes, we arrived there and the person in the take out section did not acknowledge us and seemed to be putting food in the take out shelf. There were people waiting for their order and one guy told us he had been waiting for one hour. When we asked her if our food was ready she sighed, rolled her eyes and seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. She just said what was your order and name and before we could finish she said it's not ready it'll probably be another 30 minutes and walked away. Extremely rude and unprofessional, we decided to ask a waiter if we could speak to the manager and he said she's handling carry out. We were pretty shocked that we were dealing with the manager considering how bad her customer service was. She came back and apologized to another guy and acted all friendly and we asked her again if she checked our order and she just said it's not ready. We asked her how long it will be and she said I don't know with an attitude in her voice. We told her to cancel because we had enough of her. She said she would and we went to the hostess to ask for the name and number of the district manager. The hostess told us yes she's rude and she can try to help us so we told her our situation and she said she would go check in the kitchen. She came back with our order and apologize about the delay. She was friendly and respectful and honestly feel very sorry she has to deal with that type of manager. By the way, another waiter told us once again the manager is rude and not helpful and gave us her name, Dawn. If the online order experience was terrible, I would hate to find out what it would be like if we had gone in person. read more
