My husband and I visited on Mother's Day. Needless to say the place was packed. We found 2 seats at the bar and received excellent service. The bartender set our expectations that entrees would take 40 minutes. We put in an order for appetizers knowing it would be awhile. Our bartender offered to pay our drinks. The restaurant wasn't crowded and we were seated right away. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Silverware and appetizer plates were dirty so we just used the chop sticks. My Son ordered fried rice and it turned out good and it was a generous portion. My salt and pepper prawns were just poorly cooked shrimp handled with little to no finesse very disappointing. Usually the food is pretty consistent here but they seemed to be off tonight. Great food! Great service! Went there for my 18th bday dinner and our server, Asia, was amazing!! She gave me great advice about turning 18 and was super personable. I've been to a few PF Changs in my life but pretty sure this one is not towards the top. My husband and I started with the potstickers which came out fast but weren't quite cooked all the way. We had a handful of cold bites but we actually let that go because we were so hungry. Here's where we started to get frustrated... We are sitting at a table with a clear view of the kitchen and we could see our food just sitting on the counter waiting for our server. Waiting for our server..... Waiting for our server..... We finally get our food and it's pretty room temp. Despite the temperature, the food is not even that good. No joke, I would have rather gone to Panda Express! Their food is better! read more

Worst restaurant experience ever. Horrible service, I tried to flag the manager down twice. We made eye contact both times and he just ran off. After and hour and 20 min without our food, I asked to see a manager and for the check. We were billed for the food that NEVER came. The waitress said the manager has to remove the charges from the bill, but the manager was filling to go orders! I have been seated in your restaurant for 1.5 hours and you find it more important to fill to go orders?! We paid cash for what we received and left. I must say! P.F. Chang's is great! I have been coming to P.F. Chang's for many years now (!!!WAY BEFORE IT WAS A CHAIN!!!). I remember when my sister worked as a hostess at a one of the first ever P.F. Chang's in NOR-CAL when I was pretty young. She would bring me home random things off the menu, even things that were not on the menu that the chef would make up for the employees. This is when the love began ; ). This was before they had gone nation wide as a chain and sprouted off off-springs like Pei-Wei. I love the environment of P.F. Chang's. The dim atmosphere mixed with the beautiful modern Asian Bistro styling. The food at this place is wonderful! You must try some of my favorites! Off The Menu---- CHANG'S CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS, BEEF WITH BROCCOLI, PEPPER STEAK, CHENGDU SPICED LAMB, SHRIMP WITH CANDIED WALNUTS, DAN DAN NOODLES... These are just a FEW of my favorites. I like everything really : ). This one is not on the menu... This is what my mom loves getting. And its really good. Ask for fresh asparagus, sauteed in olive oil with minced fresh garlic, with just a pinch of salt and pepper. And make sure they do not over cook them!!! You will be a HAPPY camper with this dish. P.F. Chang's reminds me of Cheesecake Factory. I want to hate it because it's a chain, but I have to admit that it is on a different plane than Applebee's or Friday's. The food is actually good and the quality of ingredients is better, but the upscale, sophisticated atmosphere seems so contrived, and I really hesitate to put a "Chinese" label on this place. But, I'll try to overlook all that. In the land of chains (ultra-suburban McMansion Franklin-- seriously, I don't think there are any independently owned eateries, EVERYTHING is a chain), a high end chain is better than gruel and water for lunch. Or Friday's. And I wasn't paying! We had their "famous" lettuce wrap appetizers, which involves spooning a chicken and bean sprout concoction into half moons of lettuce and wrapping as best as one can wrap lettuce into a little lettuce burrito. Like I said, I don't know if this is actually Chinese at all, but it's tasty enough. The food is very safe in concept and flavor, and even the dishes marked spicy are really pretty mild. It basically takes the average take out Americanized Chinese menu and plates it prettily and with less glop. Eh. I wouldn't go back unless treated again. read more

Saturday night at the peak dining hour and we wanted to eat "now"! I hadn't realized, but PF Chang's accepts reservations, and I was able to make them at 7:30 for just 30 minutes later - 8 PM. That was great! They were hopping, and people were waiting for tables, as they always are in Cool Springs, but we were quickly seated. I hate that I can't remember our server's name, because he was excellent. He helped us with our wine choices, and quickly brought our drinks and appetizer order. The three men at my table inhaled the appetizers. I did eat one of the lettuce wraps, delicious as always, and tried one of the shrimp dumplings, which was ok but not really my "thing". Between us, we had honey shrimp, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, and beef and broccoli, as well as vegetable fried rice and shrimp fried rice. A massive amount of food, which we boxed up to take home (the leftovers). Everything was quite delicious. I wish there was more actual rice in the vegetable fried rice...and egg...but that's personal preference of course. One of the wine glasses received was covered in hand smudges all over it which gave me the heebie jeebies, and the table was initially not clean enough, which our server attempted to remedy on his own without us having to bring it to his attention. Is P.F. Chang's anywhere near authentic Chinese food? Nope. Is the food still really good? Yes. This has turned into a fairly frequent lunch spot for my mom and I. Their lunch bowls are delicious and affordable(so you can enjoy your favorite beverage with it...mine is the Asian Pear Mojito) around $8-$9 or so and comes with white or brown rice and a bowl of soup. They have several options (including a vegetarian one!) but I can't resist the Crispy Honey Chicken. Everything I've tried off the menu has been good. They also have a dinner special thats been going on for a while thats a dinner for 2 (2 soups, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 mini desserts) for $40 which my husband very much approves of for a date night. The decor is cool clean modern asian inspired (like I wish I could make rooms in my house look like) and the servers are super friendly and attentive. We made a reservation. We took seat was pretty smooth. My son and husband both has allergies. They have a list for break down ingredients that was very nice. But I think the restaurant was under staffed , they took forever to bring drinks and appetizers. And they didn't have edamame and white rice. The food were already cold and not so good. I had Mongolian beef (one of my favorite). It was overcooked. So disappointed overall, we were paying pretty good money for meal. But we can't get what we want and decent food. If I could give negative stars, I would. We entered the restaurant around 3-ish. We sat for a while before we were approached. We ordered GF lettuce wraps and drinks. When she returned, with said items, we began to place our order. She told us that they couldn't add shrimp to fried rice, we would have to order and entree of fried rice, so we did. We also made sure she knew it was gluten free. As the hubs is picking up his lettuce wrap to bite, she asked were those supposed to be gluten free? Uh yeah, that's why we are here- for GF. That's why the rest of the order is also gluten free.. She snatched it up as she didn't hear him say gluten free. We asked a few additional questions as to ensure that we would be served gluten free. We were cordial. She went to the kitchen. We could hear her scream that we were assholes. So we gladly got up and walked out. I have never been treated so poorly. I called and spoke with the receptionist, she stated the waitress was overwhelmed. Did I mention it was only 3 pm we were 1 of two other tables. I have been a long time PF chain customer, however, the last two times I visited were under par to my expectations. This was the worst experience and will be my last. The server was very rude, came over to the table too quickly and was practically forcing us to place an order. Then, disappeared for a very long time, came back several times with an excuse of why she wasn't ready to take the order as if it was a punishment. The food was under seasoned and just tasted like burnt oil from the grill. The Ginger chicken was very plain and it was a good thing it was a free item as I would never order it again. The prices are outrageous for the value and lack of quality that was standard for PF Chang's. I won't miss this place knowing it is consistently subpar now. read more

I was truly disappointed in the food we had here. It was a very lackluster dinner. They used to have this tuna tartare appetizer that I would always order, but it's no longer on the menu! We started with the tofu lettuce wraps. A table of 4 of us shared the street noodles, the Korean bbq chicken stir fry, chicken fried rice, and a creamy mushroom shrimp and peas dish. There just wasn't much flavor to the dishes and nothing stood out. The Korean bbq chicken was probably the most tasteful out of all of them, but that's it. The only good thing from this night was our waiter. He was very sweet and attentive. The environment of the restaurant has definitely changed. Some of the waiters, or possible food runners were in bright green tshirts and black pants. I don't care to come back anytime soon. read more

Why am I just not a fan of this place? I don't know. Years ago I took Chang's off my dining out list because for one reason or another I just never seemed to like it. But after probably five years absent, this weekend hubby and I decided to give them a try since a) it was something different, and b) we have a new love of sushi, so I thought maybe my parameters were different now. Yea, nope. We had a crab rangoon appetizer, which is Chang's world, is not sweet at all. The savory flavors were different, I'll say that, but just not the yummy cream cheese decadence I was thinking of. I ordered two small plates for dinner, the Chicken Satay and their new Kaliedoscope sushi roll. The chicken was very plain and rather unexceptional, three skewers of grilled chicken with a slaw-ish side. The sushi roll was OK, but not nearly as attractive as the photo on the menu for sure. And it's a small thing, but the eight pieces the roll was cut into, the last two were not even with the other six, and the last little tail of a piece honestly should've been discarded. If I'm paying $12 for a special roll, I'd like it to seem special... and this was not. Hubby had the Honey Shrimp which was quite good. But we both said everything about our experience we'd have been happier if we visited any one of four nearby alternatives... and in every case our bill would have been less, too. So nothing against them, just nothing really for them, either... it's now off my list again. read more

I like PF Changs in general. As a chain, I do appreciate their food and think you can usually get the same experience everywhere. However, I hate this location. I've never had a good server here, first off. Secondly, it's very open, with lots of tables in the middle of the restaurant. This always makes me feel like I'm sitting in a walkway or in the middle of someone's way. Since there is always a line, there are usually a lot of lingering folks and it feels like their all up in my business while I eat. read more

I have been eating at the Cool Springs pf changs for years. Today was a real bad experience and we walked out. I don't walk out places but we were the first to get in and sit down. The waitress first waited on the second table of people first who came in maybe 5 min after us and I was pretty ok with that. But then she got our drink order and brought it and she didn't say a word about our ordering and walked off fast back to the front desk. She only waited on our side so know it wasn't because she was so busy. We were definitely ready to order but when she walked back, never saying anything to us, she waited on 2 other tables that had come in after us. It had been about 15 min by then and never had that kind of service in there before. It was 11 when we walked in and seated. We left about 11:15 and I told the girl at the front desk that we couldn't get her to wait on us. We walked out and made our Sunday lunch a very sad one. read more

Chicken lettuce wraps! They're phenomenal. PF Changs is "Americanized" Chinese food... Call it "Chinese Lite" - it's where you can take those who are more reluctant to try different food, and have them eat something different and great. PF Changs has lots of variety, and - technically - it's not entirely just Chinese food. There's some Thai specials and some other dishes in there too. And if you like Ahi Tuna, their peppered Ahi tuna appetizer is amazing. read more

Nicest people in the world work here. Seriously. And the restaurant is beautifully done. And the staff really care about your dining experience. Too bad this isn't really a Chinese restaurant. This is food for white people who want to believe they like ethnic food but there is nothing ethnic about this place. Many of the sauces are pre-made, with oyster sauce snuck in it. Visited this restaurant last night and Michelle served us and she was OUTSTANDING and please sit her section if you want great service because I will. I guess I need to mention that our dishes were really good as well. We visit this spot several times and it's always pretty good. Usually it is pretty busy and have to wait but this time we walked straight in and was seated but as we were leaving there were a wait. The Franklin location is inconsistent at best. One day it could be great. The next three times, there is no flavor, it could be burnt, no sauce, etc. The last few times we've ordered, it seems like a microwave dinner. I wish I wasnt this disappointed. This might have been the worst overall food experience I've had at a restaurant. We ordered Kung Pao chicken, crispy honey chicken, lettuce wraps, and two kids meals: lo mein & chicken fried rice. The lettuce wraps were decent. The rest was almost intolerable. I have two small kids so we are not picky usually- but I couldn't eat the honey chicken! My children both took one bite and the one year old actually spit it out. His broccoli was ice cold. The fried rice tasted like grease. It was just bad. My waitress was precious but didn't notice or ask about all of the untouched food.
