I came to P.F. Chang's for the first time in my life and it was delicious. The service was also perfection. I decided to order the honey chicken with shrimp fried rice and it was great. The chicken was covered with a delicious dough and glazed in their honey sauce which had a nice flavor. My partner is not one to usually like the honey chicken from other locations since it is usually smothered in honey but he mentioned this was by far his favorite. It was served on a bed of crunchy white things (I am unsure of its formal name) and it added another layer of texture which I loved. The rice was also well seasoned and prepared. It was moist and I appreciated the fresh vegetables they add including the scallions. Their portions aren't too large so you wont be leaving here too full but satisfied. I would probably return if I had change to spend since their prices are a little high in my opinion. It is a seated location so I feel this is probably why they chose their price point, which makes sense. All in all, a great experience and ambience. The appetizers that we have tried were very good but unfortunately whatever main meal we had at the table was so salty that it was a torture eating the food. I tip 20% on a curbside order only to have to go inside and get it myself-every time. I keep doing it-face palm. They shouldn't advertise curbside if they are just going to leave your food there. When this restaurant open first they did everything right, but the greed settled in as they got busier. They changed menu and increased prices for some popular dishes up to 20%. We just waited over an hour to get our food after ordering and were super hungry. The worst of it was when the server apologized for the delay and said he will ask the manger to come to our table, but the manager (Angel) never showed up. Our City is unforgivable when it comes to these things so I speculate like bunch of other food joints, they will be out of business sometimes from now even for being a chain. read more

I enjoy the food here. Lots of different opinions on Asian restaurants but this is many levels beyond the local places in town. The servings are big, we get by with appetizers and one entre plus a bottle of wine. Only on our first visit did both of us get entries and we went home like a lot of people, take out containers in hand. It is a bit noisy. On a corporate level I had a unexpected experience, really good! I thought I had registered in their dining program but couldn't get to my account. Via the contacts on their web site I sent a note. In less than an hour I got a response and again explained what had happened. The person on line told me it looked like my email was in their system for a reservation I made but not the dining program. She said she would delete it and if I waited about 20 minutes I could get back in and complete my dining registration. She also told me, if I had my dining receipts, that I could enter the data from them for credit which i did. The next morning I was surprised to find an email thanking me for registering and a note that a complimentary entree was added to my account. read more

The food was excellent. It was served hot and in the right amount of time from when we were seated. That is the only reason I did not leave a one star review. But what left a very bad taste in my mouth was the use of a tablet at the end of the meal to extort more in a tip than what was normal. My bill came to $53.96. The server showed me the tablet with $74.07 on it! I think that is way more than what is customary. I was paying cash so no upcharge for using a debit/credit card included in this. The tiny little font used to be able to possibly make a change was too difficult to read and I am not sure that was even offered. I was appalled but rather than create a scene I paid it. I had read somewhere recently that this kind of practice was going to be illegal but not sure where I read it and if it applied in FL. And I was not sure how all the servers were going to break this up since we had one person who announced that he was going to be our server and took our orders . A different person brought a refill to just one of us without asking if we wanted/needed it and never brought the other person anything even when glass was empty (coke and a lemonade). A third person served the meal and a 4th brought the tablet out to get paid. Needless to say we won't be going back even though the food was good. Having said all of this I own a food truck and do accept payments via cards. I do not have my reader set up to accept or propose tips because of this reason. I have an old fashioned tip jar. Yes I probably would do better on tips if I did have the tip option set up but I do not want customers to feel pressured into leaving a tip. I am just thankful to have them as customers. read more

Stopped by on our way back from Florida. I had been craving shrimp and they do have an awesome shrimp appetizer. Unfortunately, our food was soggy and our noodles were missing the chicken. We had pepper steak which was pretty decent. The rice was hard and clumpy. They had forgotten our drink when we picked up our food. This is the absolute worst P.F. Chang's that I've ever been to. If you're thinking about coming here, don't. Stood up front for about 15 minutes until the hostess came out of the back, and was not friendly. After we were sat we had not been asked if we wanted drinks or even looked at by servers until about 20 minutes after we sat. Food took forever, think our server forgot to put in our order while she was in the back doing nothing. Service is terrible and slow. Server was argumentative about the entree, which was clearly not what was ordered. Three requests to see a manager were denied, was told "They're both in the kitchen and are slammed." Waiter was incredibly slow to arrive to the table literally waited over 20 minutes before our waiter arrived while we were being served by another in the mean time. Asked for sauces multiple times and still didn't receive them until asking a third or fourth time after our appetizer had already been finished what did I need the sauces for ? Food was good, bet they have decided they no longer accept cash or any kind of cards for payment. You have to scan the code on the check and go online on your phone to process they payment. It has been many, many years since I last had to type in my name and my card information. So, if the place insists on playing games with people's payments, then they really don't need the business and I can get dinner elsewhere where people still have a normal interaction with other human beings and we are not treated in such a ridiculous way. The service was great and the décor was fantastic. I wanted to be blown away, I really did. The Blushing Geisha cocktail I ordered tasted like medicine. I sampled pretty much everything I wanted: dim sum, lettuce wraps, and miso salmon and it was adequate. Thank goodness the cocktails and appetizers were the happy hour prices. PFC's food is fresh, but it tastes commercialized to me. The food was three stars; the service, value, and restaurant's atmosphere brought us to four stars. I rate this a 3 because it is still P.f. Chang's and the food is basically good! Have been to this location 8+ times, it is an hour + north of where we live, We enjoy Gainesville, shops, Payne's Prairie Preserve State Park and we normally have an early dinner before doing our things around town ........ it is never crowded and yet each time the Host or Hostess has studied their computer screen for what seems like minutes then looks up bewildered like the are packed.......... "well most of the sections are closed" is the excuse given more than not......... let me see, I think, you've got about 100 tables in here and perhaps 10 are being used and you can't find us a table? well you can sit at the bar...... we have at times just gone 35-45 yards to an always packed Restaurant and immediately get seated....... I feel bad for this Restaurant, I really do! I want them to succeed ......... Today we were told, you can't order the lunch portions even though we would not have done, yet the dinner portions looked very "lunch sized" We have decided to look to other places when coming to Gainesville as we can enjoy P.f. PFChangs is one of the chains I actually like. The serve you decent food and you always know what to expect. I've probably tried 80% of the food they have on the menu and the one thing I would absolutely recommend is the Chang's spare ribs with the tangy sauce, the ribs are cooked perfectly, it's tender and the sauce is just the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. The place looks nice but I am really not impressed with everything else. It's loud. Out of the 3 times I have been, my food has been misplaced twice. In those times, my hot item came cold and my cold item (spicy tuna roll) came out room temp. Sitting at the bar I have also watch the manager (who likes to wear poofy skirts) snap and be really rude to the bartenders. I love my local PF Chang's in Fort Myers and have had the waitresses at the Fort Myers location go over their vegan menu options in depth. That being said I was excited to see a PF Chang's so close to my hotel in Gainesville. We were seated quickly early last Saturday evening. Our waitress was very pleasant but when I queried about the ability to substitute tofu for dishes that were not listed as vegan she needed to check with the manager. We ordered our drinks and were chatting at our table when someone who looked like the manager walked up and said "Hey guys you can't do that". I have to say it took us off guard as to what he was actually talking about that we couldn't do. He said all of their sauces that aren't listed as vegan contain chicken broth and they just can't change that so we would have to stick with the vegan listed dishes. Totally fine with us, we just wanted clarification before ordering. We had the edamame, the vegetable lettuce wraps, the Budda's feast and the stir fried eggplant. The food was excellent and our waitress was super friendly. While we were eating the above mentioned manager swung by our table and said "You guys find something?". I realize its a pandemic and workers are hard to find but people skills on behalf of a person in management are key. I love my Fort Myers PF Changs even more knowing they go above and beyond others in the chain. read more

Had a really nice time at this new P.F. Chang's location. Often times in Gainesville I experience less than stellar service at restaurants, and as a server I really appreciate when a restaurant and their staff are kind and attentive. The hostess was a sweetheart, although I don't remember her name. Johnny B was our server and I can't say anything but great things about him.
