I would like to say that I had a pleasant experience here. I ordered an iced tea and the Chicken Lettuce Wraps - which are deceptively filling and always delicious. My server, Hope, was warm and attentive. P.F. Changs, however, has seen better days. I just fail to understand what would be appealing about this chain restaurant to most consumers. At my favorite Thai place around the corner, I can get an entree and a drink for cheaper than my order today at P.F. Changs. It's astonishing how prices here have gone up and how portions have gotten smaller. The chicken entrees are almost 20$! It's astonishing to me. I'm satisfied and happy I took a walk down memory by going here, but I'm left with this feeling of forlorn emptiness as I sit here writing this review. I used to love it here, and now it just feels like a corporate chain struggling to connect. Anyways - I recommend the lettuce wraps. (P.S - the menu quotes calorie counts in a way that is blatantly deceptive. My lettuce wraps were 660 calories, but are listed in the menu as only being 330 calories. In most of the dishes on the menu, there are 2-4 servings provided, but the calorie counts are only for 1 serving. I guess they expect things to be eaten family style. I don't know. OK, just getting this out there, NO HAPPY HOUR 'due to Covid'!! after our two year long debacle with The Pandemic and multiple revisions to the happy hour menu and pricing, they sadly decided to drop one of the more exciting things about this Chinese American food establishment!! That being said, our diner experience was excellent!! Though slightly, socially awkward moment with a host getting a table and seated, we waited a bit and we're served most perfectly by the longest standing waitress in the house we remember from years back. I placed an order online to pick up my order at 5.15pm. I was at P F Chang at 5.20pm and my order was not ready. However my brother who placed his order after me was ready. The sulking and unfriendly host who was at the front counter told me that my order was not ready. Then I questioned her why was my order not ready when my brother who placed his order after me was ready. She told me she is the "host" and do not check the status of order and to go and ask the guy who was taking meal orders out. I approached him and he checked and found out that they missed my order. I had to wait another 10 minutes to get my order. P F Chang should hire friendly and nicer staff who would treat their customers right. Hopefully this is a one off situation otherwise I would not be coming back and I will take my business somewhere else. read more

Located in The District, PF Changs is always a solid choice. Staff is friendly and food is always good. Not traditional Chinese food by any means, but food is always tasty. We arrived Sunday afternoon, and there was a 5 minute wait. Perfect! We haven't been in a while, and looks like they updated their menu with Ramen choices, as well as dim sum and small plates. All staff were wearing masks and restaurant wasn't too crowded. Crispy green beans 5/5 super crispy, hot and fresh and the dipping sauce I would buy by the gallon! Salt and Pepper shrimp 5/5 crispy, light and big shrimp. The spicy butter sauce that they serve on the side is so yummy. Honey Shrimp 5/5 Lightly battered with jumbo shrimp. Not too sweet. My day: working deliver, pf Chang sent me away and told me to come back in 30 - 45 minutes minutes because the manager had told them not to have the food ready until then. There was a ton of shrugging at me and eye rolling and dismissive grunts. I already had an order in the car and so I delivered that after marking the delay in the app. Mind you, I had confirmed the order with them and it was a huge order. I had been told that all third party orders were scheduled by the manager for the same time. It seemed a bit odd but I called the customer and explained it as it had been told to me. When I got back I asked for the order. They looked at my phone to confirm that I was a driver and that I had been assigned to that order. Then they told me that a man had picked it up a half hour ago. I asked them to check for another order under that name etc. I knew from talking to the customer that they had called to add items. The upshot is that PF Changs handed a man a couple of big bags without looking at his phone screen even after interacting with me on that same order. On top of that they messed up the part of the order that I was given so... it was a crappy day to be female. Yes, the same woman interacted with me and with the other driver and the second bag was a kids meal and a side of egg rolls while the first was 9 entrees. Met here with friends. We had a 645 reservation. Finally got seated about 7:05. The atmosphere was pleasant although the bass in the music was a little bit harsh. Our server was amazing! She was right there every time we wanted something. We started off with apps. Egg rolls (yummmmm) and crab Rangoon (I think they call it crab dumplings?). They were in a great sauce, however, the sauce would've been nice in a bowl, rather than spread on the plate. For my main course I had the miso crusted salmon. I requested broccoli instead of mushrooms, which they kindly did. It was delicious. Perfectly cooked with a nice crust on the miso. They also followed covid guideline such as hand sanitizer in lobby, everyone wearing masks, and the requested we keep masks on until we had beverages on the table. I haven't been here since 2015, but I went with friends for a night out. We had the chicken lettuce straps, calamari and the dynamite shrimp as appetizers. They were very tasty but each dish came to the table one at a time which was a little disappointing. I had chicken pad thai, but it wasn't as good as I've had at thai restaurants, so I ate some of it anyway, took it home and ate it the the next day. Not sure if I'll return. read more

Pretty disappointed with my experience here. I'm a huge fan of Chinese food! Can't get enough of it. Typically I do frozen meals or Panda Express, but thought I would splurge a bit for higher quality. The order arrived late. My delivery driver waited at the restaurant for 20 minutes. When he dropped the order off he said the restaurant is always late. Not a big deal to me. Maybe they're short staffed. First impression was the serving sizes are HUGE!!!! (and the food looks delicious!) I bought the 3 dishes for myself, thinking it would last 2 meals. From the looks of it I would say 3-4. Well turns out that's not the case. I enjoyed my first meal - although was not fond of the sweet and sour chicken. There was too much breading for my liking. The beef and broccoli however was delish!!!! Nice thick slices of beef and they actually give you a nice amount of beef. Fried rice was as tasty as you would expect. I put the leftovers in the fridge and next day prepared another plate. The fried rice had a funky taste to it, but still editable and somewhat tasty. Later that day I felt real sick. I checked the fridge to see if perhaps it lost power, but it was running fine and nothing appeared unrefrigerated. It's real bizarre that fried rice would go bad in less than 24 hours, but that was the case here. Since I wasn't fond of the sweet and sour chicken, the only enjoyable part was the beef and broccoli. $83 for one enjoyable dish. This was my first time trying PF Chang's. U order food in advance to be able to walk in and pick up but you end up standing waiting for someone to check you out while your food is sitting there getting cold. Three stars today in part because I chose wrong. I should have ordered what I initially wanted after having read the on-line menu at home. I wanted Lettuce Wraps, Edamame and dessert but my husband convinced me to have an entree instead; so, I ordered the Stir-Fried Eggplant. I didn't like it. I know I shouldn't compare it to Eggplant Parm but that has so much flavor as well as a little crunch. Stir-Fry Eggplant is just mushy and had no flavor. The Hostess was delightful. The restaurant opens at 4:00 PM; our reservation was for 4:30. At that time of the day, there were very few customers; accordingly, our waiter Austin gave us a lot of attention. I treated myself to a fancy cocktail, Chang's Mai Tai. In addition to a Bacardi Rum, it is supposed to have Myer's Rum in it. It did, but not much. You can see from the photo that the amount of dark rum was minimal. For $12, they should use more Myer's and less Bacardi. Water glasses came with cocktail napkins. The cocktail did not, so my Mai Tai glass made the table wet. It's the little things, ya know? We shared the Tempura Calamari. That was nice. The Tempura is so much lighter than what you normally get with Fried Calamari. My husband had the Mongolian Beef which was flavorful. Unfortunately, the beef was chewy. We were not offered dessert. We had a $25 Gift Certificate which was easily accepted and used. We've eaten here a few times over the years, both lunch and dinner, usually with friends. Service and food were both really incredible. There was some sort of mishap that happened with our reservation (made for 7, had a confirmation email but somehow on their end showed as 2 people) this mishap was handled poorly by both the person in my party that made the reservation and the hostesses that shoved an iPad in his face to try and prove him wrong. However, the management and server absolutely made up for it. Bailey was absolutely wonderful in his attentiveness to our party and Maura made my daughter feel extra special as it was her birthday. Have eaten here twice before over the years and was disappointed with the lack of flavor of their food both times. Yesterday I was in the area with a friend from the UK and decided to give them a try since so many years had passed. My friend saw that that had lunch specials and wanted to try them. I figured the honey chicken dish she ordered would be sweet and so I chose the Spicy Chicken instead as my protein for the lunch special. To begin, we ordered the crispy egg roll and it was cool to the touch, literally bending when picked up it was so droopy as well as soggy and tasteless. I was so sorry at this point for trying a lunch special but remained hopeful. The Spicy Chicken was so damn sweet I was only able to eat about half of it and the fried rice was a flavorless utter disappointment. So when our waitress, Silvia, came by to see how things were going, I told her that it was just not what I expected and left it at that. She was offering dessert on the house since I'd left so much food but I was just over the entire disappointing meal. No need for dessert since the chicken was cloyingly sweet. She returned with the check and had used her employee discount because she felt badly and I suppose the manager wasn't willing to comp my lunch special and agreed to let her use her discount. Silvia was the highlight of this visit and I can assure you, if I'd seen the Yelp reviews before the visit I'd have kept driving to Chinatown. Live & learn and I hope if they continue doing a lunch special they will focus on some diversity in the entrees and quality control so one can minimally expect their food to be fresh and hot. She said she was ready and tried to sit us at table but I saw empty booths and asked for one . She said would I like to wait for one I declined. I was quickly reminded of why I love PF Chang's. I had been awhile since I last visited so I have forgotten how lovely they are. The different staffs are ALWAYS wonderful with being responsive and courteous but this site, especially, has the most professional, friendly and polite team that I have seen in awhile. The food? While the menu offers a great selection, I wish they would return concentrate only to Chinese only instead of venturing into the diverse Asian influences. By "doing more," the selections for a specific fusion lacks and the prices increase. I miss the Moo Goo Pai Pan which was excellent for those who prefer unbattered chicken and plentiful veggies.
