If you want a good clue on a lettuce wrap, y'all should check out the lettuce wraps at The Cheesecake Factory or even The King Street Grille in downtown Charleston. Honestly this was the worst food and dining experience me and my family have ever had from anywhere. First we waited for almost 15 minutes to get greeted. Our server Jamie said he was engrossed in a conversation and that is why we had to wait The appetizer was good but extremely small. When we were asking questions about the menu the waiter Jamie rudly told us that he had things to do. Well it wasn't to do his job. Our food was brought out by someone else. It was cold, hard, and tasted like it was precooked and overcooked. $90.00 for dinner and none of us ate. Save your money. Never was asked by manager how our dinner tasted. Sad it used to be nice and good. You would be better off going to taco bell. At least it is priced right. I tipped 15% because it is the holidays and my daughter in law is a waitress. I understand the job. But this is the second time we had Jamie. He waited on us the first week he worked there and he has not improved. Ordered 4 simple food items for carry out and was told it would take an hour over the phone which was fine. Got to the restaurant and they read back my order to me and never said a word regarding the status and then disappeared to help other customers. I had to find him and ask when my food would be done and was told it would be another 15 to 20 minutes when it was already past the one hour time frame that was given. They didn't apologize or seem to care. The restaurant wasn't busy either so I can't understand why it's taking them so long. Very disappointed in the service tonight. We live in Mt. P-- have kids and Changs is an easy stop. This particular location has gone sub par. Yesterday several of the employees brought in Canes fast food and sat there in the bar eating their chicken fingers and fast food. Mean while, the bartender who had half he tables, ran around trying his best. He was good and we supported him with a great tip, but what a turn off. Employees should eat in the back and if they notice it's busy on the floor- step in and help- otherwise get off the floor. My six year old son dropped his fork and the hostess literally walked over it, versus picking it up. Down-hill service and standards-- I assume they have enough customers that they don't need to worry about service. read more

Last week I had accidentally left my wallet when I went to go pick up my take-out order. Not only were they smiling and telling me not to worry, it would be on the house, they even refused when I told them I'd send them a check or something. WOW. The host staff made me feel so so so VIP. Their food is always SUPERB to begin with and the wait staff is always so friendly, educated with the menu and attentive. It's been a while since I've experienced such random act of kindness. Very disappointing visit!! Our waiter was not well educated on PF and had only been on the floor for two weeks. We asked for the trio condiments that they usually bring to the table and after reminding him we asked for them, he informed us he didn't know how to mix them!! Very disappointed. My first trip here was way better so I decided to come back. It's iffy if I'll go again. We were greeted by a less than enthusiastic hostess who seemed very put off we were there. It took a bit for our waiter to come to our table. It seems the "you are bothering me" attitude spread to him also. He brought our drinks and we ordered right then. His attention the rest of the visit proved that was a good call. It took almost 40 minutes for our food to arrive. Pretty slow for fried rice and a lunch special. My son spilt his drink and we had to use our own napkins to get it up. When our waiter finally came by he cleaned it up but never replaced our dinner napkins. He asked if we wanted dessert which my son did to the waiters disappointment. He brought our check right after we ordered dessert before dessert arrived and he left twice not filling our drinks or even asking if we would like one. I had to ask again to get a refill for dessert. Our bill was $40 FOR LUNCH, so you would expect better service. Also the manager stopped by three tables around us but completely skipped mine. While the food was decent, the service was terrible. I had not been to a PF Chang's in a while and they had some new additions to the menu. The had some sushi and a lighter fare's menu. I decided to order from the lighter fare menu. When I gave my order the waiter informs me that the lighter fare menu is only m-f. They give that menu because of the sushi items on the back. That might have been nice to tell me when they gave us the menu's. I honestly am not sure if it said it on the menu, so if it does I'll take 1/2 credit for that error. They had the same items that I had wanted on the regular menu just in different portions (Chicken satay + eggs rolls) and more money, so I just ordered that. We then waited almost 25-30 minutes for one sushi appetizer. When they brought the sushi appetizer he then tells me that they are out of the chicken satay I ordered, and asks if I need to see the menu again. So, I go ahead and just pick sesame chicken as it's something I know I like. After another 20/25 minutes goes by I politely ask about how much longer until the food comes out. (I should add we have our 2 year old with us, and I'm just trying to decide what I need to do to keep her from loosing it as it is now been at least 40 minutes for her with no food. He nonchalantly says, another couple minutes. The food did come out within about 5 minutes after that. It was pretty good. This place is definitely a slow pace southern restaurant. When we finally were seated, we came at 1:45...not exactly the busy lunch hour, we waited for a waitress for a few minutes. She was very pleasant but talked slowly...south Carolinian evidently. The overall food delivery was about 30 minutes...food adequate. Crispy honey chicken was not crispy, but tasted good. I used to love P.F. Chang's, but my last experience was horrible. We did a to-go order and realized everything tasted old and the portions were extremely small. My favorite 2 dishes are the chicken lettuce wraps and the mongolian beef. The chicken lettuce wraps was old and overcooked and the serving size was for only 1 person. The mongolian beef was tough and salty and again the portion size was very small. We also ordered the chicken lo mein and again it tasted old and was extremely salty. The only fresh thing in our order was the lettuce cups. For $52, I say we were ripped off. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they have become over-rated, over-priced, and simply not good anymore. I'd rather go to a hole in the wall chinese take-out restaurant than go back there! I wish there was an option for no stars, because they don't even deserve a star. Ok. Service is decent. Now, this is the 2nd time my husband and I have gotten food poisoning from this place. We haven't been there in over a year because of the 1st time. We were there Saturday night, I asked for a to go box for my meal. Yesterday (sunday) I attempt to dig into my dinner, I'm looking at the beef, it has mold growing in it. It was a bluish, greenish color. I looked it up to make sure I want crazy, sure enough, same exact thing. Food and wait staff excellent. Associates working the desk could not handle the volume of customers. No Manager to be seen to advise them how to handle the volume they were clearly struggling. When we arrived we were told it would be an hour and a half to two hours for a party of six. While waiting we were watching customers with four and five people come in, get a table eat and leave. After the first hour we approached the desk and one of the girls stated you were told it would be an hour and a half to two hours so we sat back down and wait another hour by that time every single person had been seated that came in after us. Most had already eaten and left. We were the last men standing or should I say sitting. We had only approached the desk once, we weren't the problem. So now it's past two hours and we approach the desk and ask when will we be seated? Girl didn't know what to do. Would give it ZERO stars but don't have the option. My wife loves chinese food. I am not a fan of chinese unless it's homemade. First thing is first, the place is loud and it was a bit busy but ultimately very loud. Prices were a bit high for what they're serving. The waiters/staff were trying to get to everyone in a timely manor which can be very overwhelming when places are busy. The food on the other hand was terrible. It has a typical chinese aftertaste like it's been sitting in well-water or something. Not a fresh taste what so ever. Crab-rangoon/wontons (are basically similar just different shaped) were filled with salt and black pepper!???? (Never have I experienced such an awful tasting treat!) The only plus side to the entire evening was getting a nice happy feeling off of the 2 Stella beers I had. Our bill was over $50 for my wife and myself. WAY too overpriced for chinese. I will NEVER step foot in a P.F.Changs EVER again. I hope you choose the same! :) Go eat some Japanese or Korean if you want a healthier change & choice. read more

This was our first time at P.f. Chang's and I was pleasantly surprised. The spring roll appetizer was really good for a starter. Tge korean chicken entree was a very nice surprise and a healthy portion. Our server was great, she answered all of our questions and provided outstanding service. Extremely difficult to order from both online and over the phone. The last few times I have been the chicken has been incredibly unpleasant to eat. It's not what I remember in Chang's.
