Food was really good. But it is so annoying to be listening to light music in the front while the kitchen listens to other music bass blasting at the same time. Manager was in the back at the kitchen the entire time, looking out the window from kitchen and couldn't be bothered to come out front. Service was not great. We ordered drinks first, Asian pear mai tai. Then some appetizers. We finished our first appetizer before we even got our drinks. We ordered dinner. Both of us ordered noodle dishes. My husbands came out first. And we were told mine would be out soon. My husband had finished half of his dinner before mine came out. I honestly can't even put into words how amazing this place is with their customer service. Tonight I ate there with my boyfriend, and our waiter was honestly the best waiter I have ever had in my life. If the manager didn't look so busy, we would have called him over to tell him how amazing he was. First off, he was very understanding with my allergies and went above and beyond to reassure that my food was safe for me to eat (so did the kitchen!) Apparently the kitchen made my boyfriend's food and wasn't happy with how it turned out so they remade it meaning my food came out earlier. We honestly just appreciated the fact that they cared about their quality control that much, but our waiter gave us a free appetizer for "not having our food out at the same time." Like... are you serious?! Most restaurants couldn't care less about the food getting out at different times. To top it off he gave us two free coupons for lettuce wraps with our check for the "inconvenience" on top of the free appetizer. I never in my life have had a restaurant treat me this well. The list doesn't even end there. At the very end after we paid, I asked him to take a quick picture of us because we were out on a special date... and he cleared the table, rearranged the candles, and made the table look pretty for the picture without us even asking. I am literally going to call tomorrow and ask for a manager so I can tell him how amazing our waiter was. Safe to say this is our new favorite restaurant, and he is our new favorite waiter! I desperately wish I could remember his name so I could give him credit in this review. I guess I'll figure it out tomorrow when I call and let the manager know how incredible our experience was! - I almost forgot! The time I went before this, I let the waiter know (different waiter at this time, but also great) about my allergies and he got the manager to help me out. The manager took a note down about my allergies and PRINTED OUT a menu just for me with all of my available options! He then proceeded to manage my whole order while it was being cooked to make sure there was no cross contamination. Best manager ever! We had a large takeout order for a family birthday dinner that was totally bad. I will never use this venue again. I have complained and telephoned the corporate office which has just farmed out the complaint to a 3rd party service that will not answer calls, nor return calls. This restaurant claims not to use MSG but did with our order. The sensitive people were sick from it. Also, some other items were improperly cooked so that serious GI problems developed in a few hours. None of these problems were acknowledged. I have posted a BBB report on P F Chang's and will follow through to make sure they are known widely for their poor food and poor customer attention. read more

It's been probably four years since I've eaten at P.F. Chang's. On a weekly basis I receive fab e-mail offers and coups, but usually delete them because they are always 'dine-in only' - ain't no one got time for that! Today I was craving Asian veggies and whilst deleting some of my "junk" mail, I decided to treat my friend to lunch so she could try the Korean bibimbap bowl (that was the freebie with an entree purchase). When we got there I asked if we could do take-out with the B1G1 offer, but no can do. Sadly, we sat at a table and it was fine, our server was very delightful and understanding that we ordered immediately since we had to get back to work. On the flippity flipside, they took a VERY long time bringing out or food, which got me antsy because we're on a schedge, people! JK (it's all good)... We ate a few bites and immediately asked for the check and to-go boxes. Let's wrap this up for our desks, I said, and we bounced outta there. IT WAS SO GOOD FYI! Went on a Saturday for lunch arriving at 12:10. We asked if we could sit at the bar and order lunch. Were told that we have to wait for 15 minutes because the kitchen was slammed with take out orders. We looked at the bar and saw another couple ordering drinks with the balance of the bar open. When we asked about it we were told they can order drinks because they are taking the drinks to their table. That's when we decided to walk out. Don't let teenagers run your business. read more

Decided to give the local PFChang's a try again after a disastrous last visit. It was a Saturday night so would expect it to be busy. It was far from it. Made a reservation. Arrived on time and had to wait, maybe 10 minutes--see plenty of open tables so it must be staffing issue (Ugg again as it's the issue before). Also one of the hostess was on her phone texting away. Were seated. Was a bit before the server came and asked for drink order. (We were also ready to order our meal but weren't asked). I had a salad with my dinner but no utensils or napkin on the table. Salad arrived and nothing to eat it with. Asked for salt and pepper. Waitress went and waited on another table before finally bringing salt and pepper. Again had to ask for silverware. Food came a positive thing is the food is still good and consistent. They have a new menu with many changes and gone are the banana spring roll dessert. (Sad as it was a favorite). Hopefully management can resolve the staff issue. I might give PFChang's in Reno another chance, but will have to think about it. read more

Not a great experience. After all these years in the Reno area, thought we'd give this a try. Sadly, staffing and service were the main issue. It took a long time for someone to greet and take our order. Then it took almost an hour to get our appetizers and meal. Isn't Chinese / Asian food supposed to be super quick?! We learned that they were training a new kitchen staff. When we got our sushi, the ginger tasted like cleaning solution. Yuck! We advised our server and all she did was say she would tell the manager. No, "I'm sorry and we'll give you some different ginger or a small credit". I don't know that I'd return. read more

Horrible takeout experience. Mongolian Beef was dried up and chewy and we were charged $23 for 8 pieces of beef. The 'dish' was full of old green onions and tasted like it was from the night before. It was not cooked that day. Beef Lo Mein had NO beef in it, not a single piece of beef! It had no taste and the noodles were mushy and the container was half full. Promo free potstickers were falling apart, mushy and not even pan fried even though this was requested. Kung Pao chicken had more peanuts than chicken and no flavor. They consistently fill up dishes with peanuts, pepper pods or old inedible vegetables to avoid giving you the meat you actually paid for. On top of the poor food quality, there must have been MSG added to the food because all 4 people in our party got sick after eating with stomach upset, gi problems, a migraine and brain fog. We brought our three young kids here and Jenna provided the best service I've had since 2020. So attentive and upbeat and thoughtful. Food was yummy, it came out hot and timed really well. Came in tonight with my Uncle for his birthday. He's been going through a rough time with his wife in hospice. Dina May was phenomenal! She was so patient and kind and funny and it gave us a nice way to escape all the bad stuff going on around us. Food was amazing! My husband and I like happy hour here for a few reasons. The first one, which is not highly publicized, is that happy hour lasts until 7 p.m. in the bar area! Head into the bar to enjoy some decent deals if it's after 6 p.m. - which is when it ends in the restaurant area. We are always looking for happy hours that last a little longer and keep P.F. Chang's in mind for that reason. Another reason is that you can find a fair amount of good food offerings. The other night we split Vegetarian Lettuce Wraps ($6), a Spicy Tuna Roll ($6), a California Roll ($6), and Pan-Fried Shrimp Dumplings ($5). We thought the portions were generous and that everything was tasty. Finally, the craft beers during happy hour are only $4 and served by attentive, pleasant bartenders! And although some people may not be fans of chain restaurants, the good news here is that you can count on consistent quality. read more

Recently had dinner at the P.F. Chang's in Reno. We liked everything about this place; ambience, service, decor, service, food, etc.. I had the lettuce wrap appetizer which was great and the kung pao shrimp which was spicy but fantastic. Unfortunately, the after dinner coffee was a different issue. First, I had to wait while a new pot was brewed and didn't get it until we're half way through dessert; secondly, once I put the cream in the coffee it became undrinkable. After questioning the waiter he informed me they didn't have regular cream so he gave me hazelnut cream which I hate. He offered to bring another cup but by then everyone was done with their dessert and what was the point if they didn't have cream? BTW, who runs out of cream at 6:00 PM? read more

Came for the unlimited lettuce wrap night. was actually pretty good. The map tofu is not traditional, but has good flavor. So x when you come here dont think authentic. Come for the fusion taste. Definitely worth coming with an open mind. Has higher quality foods and the servers are sweet. They even helped and offered brown and white rice. My friends like the coconut drink a lot. They both get it everytime we come. Overall the ambience is great and a fun time with friends. I had the mint tea and loved it. We ordered the chicken wrap unlimited and the vegetarian. Came in on a Tuesday evening, expecting standard service. Was greeted with a warm smile and easy confidence from Dustin. He gave just the right amount of attentiveness and space to always have the next part of the meal ready. Before the chicken fried rice was ready to be brought to the table, he brought the rest of the items to the table so they didn't stand a chance to ever get cold. He offered a dessert that wasn't on the menu (red velvet cheesecake) and wasn't afraid to share a little about his life when my date and I overheard him. If you like Olive Garden, I'm sure you'll like P.F. Chang's. For those that understand that Olive Garden is a bastardized version of Italian food, then I think you'll find that P.F. Chang's is the the Olive Garden equivalent for Chinese food. I understand the role of these types of restaurants in American society. And I totally understand why some people like these places. It's good for big groups, 10+ or so, the staff is friendly, and the interior is decorated quite nicely. It's also a nice place to go if you have kids or picky eaters that aren't exactly jumping out of their seats to try some Eastern food. But if you're someone who likes quality, authentic, and not crazy overpriced food, then avoid P.F. Chang's (and the like) at all costs. I only visited because I received a gift card. I cannot recommend this place. I would suggest you go support the local Chinese restaurants instead. read more

Flavor in the hot & sour soup. The fried rice was dry, and the feature ginger beer had been watered down! PF Chang's is a tasty place to grab some classic American Chinese food. The happy hour was incredible! My partner and I went in for happy hour and placed our meal order to go. After two cocktails, each, one appetizer, two entrees, and a side, our total cost was only $60! AMAZING! I highly recommend coming in for happy hour. The bar and dinning area have plenty of seats and the prices are hard to beat! There is also a special of the day, one food and one beverage. We went in on a Tuesday. The special was chicken Pad Tai for only $10 and a classic Mai Tai for $5! I have been to this location with large groups as well. I would recommend calling ahead first so they can arrange a table. There is also new family dinning options for large groups. It seems as if you can order some of your favorite entrees family style. I think this would be worth checking out. This is definitely not authentic Chinese food, but it's delicious Asian fusion! My taste buds are always happy. read more

Was here for Mother's Day celebration with my parents. Before I continue we did have a reservation so it wasn't horrible to get a table. Honestly this was the best experience I ever had at a restaurant and I know that is saying a lot but let's me start with how friendly every single person was so nice and it was like they weren't even trying. The portions are so large that we actually have to take so much food home. The server ANDREW was beyond helpful and very informative about all the options including gluten free options. I will be visiting here again. It may not be tomorrow or even next month. But it will be soon because they did leave a good impression on me! Ordered fried rice based on the menu description. Two of us did. What we were served was nowhere near what we ordered. Neither dish had any egg whatsoever. One had loads of unexpected mushrooms- unexpected and UNWANTED. And perhaps worst of all, and I'm not sure how this can be accomplished when cooking, there was literally no flavor. None. This is the new guard, throwing caution to the wind and letting the flavors and techniques of Chinese cooking create something new, exciting, and a bit more approachable for the American palate. My new favorite way to dine at P.F. Chang's? Appetizers and drinks at the bar. "Hunan" Dragon Wings... Huge, plump, juicy, perfectly crispy wings (I'm guessing corn starch) lightly coated in a deliciously spicy, sweet, and tangy sauce. They're served with a side of perfectly pickled cucumbers that are the ideal foil for the sauce. I think there are 10 in an order, and I can eat 5 before I realize what I did, and then the other 5 just disappear! P.F. Chang's Sushi... I know what you're thinking. Sushi? Really? YES! I can't say it's the best, but it's passable, and the combos are tasty and worth a try. I've had these rolls a few times, and my qualm is that the rice can be a little gummy and under seasoned. Maybe they press too hard when they make em? On the list to try in the future... Northern Style Dry Ribs, Vietnamese Salad (thanks Robert S), and quite a few other appetizer items! Thanks P.F. Well...It's Been Better I dined on a Friday night at 7p o' clock and the restaurant was packed. Food Changs Chicken Lettuce Wraps The dish tasted good, but the presentation was really half assed. The sauce had spilled on the way over, resulting in a sauce cup only marginally filled by the time it arrived to our table. On top of that, you could hardly see the main star of the dish, only because it was almost entirely covered by the lettuce. Crispy Honey Shimp The shrimp was tasty. Lightly battered in a tangy honey sauce with green onion sprinkled on top. Thai Harvest Curry Didn't even get a chance to sample this one. Not long after it arrived I noticed the dreaded EXTRA ingredient. A hair had neatly tucked it self under a sliced cherry tomato. Walnut Shrimp with Melon Tossed in citrus Asian aioli with warm candied walnuts and honeydew melon. I had previously heard good things, and the rumors were true. The dish was good replacement and helped overcome the previous entrees culinary atrocities. Service Our sever was professional about "the hair" and promptly took the dish away so I could order a replacement. The manager on duty; Stacy; was very apologetic about the situation and came over to check up on how I was feeling. I truly respected her ability to show sympathy and accepted her gracious offer to rush out a new entree. Overall I had an okay time that evening. I've dined at P.F. Chang's on multiple occassions and prior to this have gone without incident. I'd visit again. read more

Another great spot that Yelp lured me into. I avoid chains, but at Yelp Elite event last fall i discovered there's more to this restaurant than being a chain. For the size it is they have a small scratch kitchen where they break down their own produce and meats, create their sauces and prepare almost everything the restaurant needs right there on site. They have a great happy hour with food and drink specials from 4-6p. I done that a few times now for a lighter dinner. The regular menu is just the right size with various Asian dishes that include seafood, beef, pork, chicken or vegan. Any meal I order always seems to have enough left over for lunch the next day. All the staff has always been fabulous. When dining alone I enjoy eating at the bar. The bartender keeps you company and makes some wickedly Asian inspired cocktails. read more
