Been to Chang's more times than I can count but this is the first time I actually really enjoyed their food. I ordered the chicken lettuce wrap which was amazing as always however I felt like there was more of the little chestnut pieces in it than actual meat. For my entre I orders the Singapore street noodles which also came highly recommended by the waitress. The street noodles was 10/10 for sure. It was so good and flavorful. I could have done without the strong lime though, I felt like that was kind of throwing me off. I ordered that with a Moscow mule and it was okay then I ordered a beer as well because the mule was so stacked with ice. I recommend making a reservation so you are guaranteed a table because this place is always packed. read more

Let me start by saying that I have eaten at PF Changs for many years, and their Mongolian Beef is usually to die for. But after tonight, my family will not be going back for a while. The meat was tough, tasted bad, and had no sauce on it. The rice tasted like it was freezer-burnt. The street noodles had a weird smell to them. Bittersweet visit here at P.F. Chang's. Bitter: Walked in and was greeted by a nice hostess (good cop). We came for dinner and she informed us it would be a 15 minute wait. No problem, we said. Then another hostess next to her (bad cop), who was on the phone, puts her hand over the receiver and chimes in curtly "it'll be more like 30." We told the good cop, no worries, and we'd like a booth. She said she put us down for a booth but while she was still speaking, the rude bad cop goes, "no, uh-uh, all the booths are reserved, no booths are open". We saw four open booths at the time. So I say, ignoring the uncouth comment, ok, well, I'm sure one will open within an hour or so, we will wait at the bar. The good cop says ok and looked embarrassed. The brusque bad cop shakes her head. I say, to the good cop, thank you and your coworker needs lessons in customer service. My friend and I moseyed to the bar with a bitter taste in our mouths. Sweet: We were greeted at the bar by a pleasant, welcoming bar tender named Brandon. He complimented us and asked what he could get us... we ordered our drinks. He joked with us and provided fast service. We told him about our initial experience and he was sympathetic. He was so nice we decided to eat at the bar. We told the manager about our encounter with the rude, discourteous hostess (bad cop) and he was very apologetic and comped our appetizer. We appreciated his gesture. Now for the food and drink: My friend's Moscow Mule was beautifully presented and was delish. We also had a bottle of Felino Malbec that was smooth and sultry. We chose the avocado spring rolls for our appetizer and it was appealing and tasty. I'd order them again! We shared the Crispy Mandarin Salad with chicken which was light and refreshing, the chopped cabbage and greens, almonds, and mango were tossed with a delicate dressing that didn't overpower the salad-it could have used more mango. The Kung Pao Chicken was tender, well seasoned and paired with a bowl of fluffy fried rice. The food was very satisfying! We were happy we stayed and ate at the bar! Less crowded that the main restaurant. For a busy, mall restaurant, this place is pretty good! A bit loud, and tables too close together, but all and all a nice experience. Expect to pay more than most Chinese restaurants... cha-Chang! The good food and the pleasant server, turned our frown upside down! Lose the inhospitable hostess (oxymoron) and you'll have 5 stars. read more

What a huge disappointment. I ate at this location a few years ago and it while the service was very poor the food was decent. However, the takeout I got tonight for my birthday dinner was truly terrible. I absolutely regret spending $40 on this food. (I'll give it two stars instead of one because quality may suffer from the short drive home.) I got the Pad Thai and Crispy Honey Chicken hoping to make several meals of it, but I only ended up eating a few bites of each. The servings were surprisingly small for the price, especially the half filled pint of very dry rice that is served with the chicken. Both the chicken and the noodles were overwhelmingly oily, which drowned out any other flavors. The "crispy" chicken was my favorite entree at other locations, but this was soggy, slimy, and hardly tasted much different than the plain white rice. The Pad Thai was just over cooked noodles and dry chicken with some toppings dumped on it, and the only flavor at all was the bitterness of way too much cooking oil and the occasional chili flake. What can I say about this restaurant and all the other chains. PFC is a fast food of Chinese food with good interior design and a well marketed concept that draw people all the time. We started off with the chicken lettuce wrap. It was very flavorful and a good size portion. Sesame chicken: it was coated with so much flour and it was so soggy you feel like eating a flour ball. Great outdoor venue but terrible service. Our waiter was an older lady with brown hair who was unbelievably rude and for no reason. She was unorganized and was unprofessional. I felt she continued to try to either bring our group down and provoke us, but everyone stayed calm and enjoyed our celebration together. It took a very long time for her take our order and was not diligent in refilling our water, bringing silverware, or checking on us. If wildly generic slightly overpriced food is what you are looking for then P.F. Chang's is your spot. My family and I went for dinner on Labor Day weekend to subvert the cultural stereotypes and had an overall okay experience. This was my first time eating at a P.F. Chang's as I try to avoid chain restaurants unless they have a dollar menu. We started with a round of crab 'goons (rangoons) which came out quickly and tasted just like most take out Chinese food. Fortunately most takeout Chinese food tastes good. We then went on and had the crispy green beans which were breaded and fried. These too tasted pretty good but in all fairness if you bread and fry my shoe that would taste pretty good to me. Finally the entrees came rolling out. One member of our party got something that came out cold and she had asked for the sauce on the side. The sauce was delivered about 5 min after all our other food came out and even then was the wrong sauce. After all of that was resolved the food was solid. Finally we wrapped it up with a little dessert. Which was good but nothing to write home about. Overall the experience was good, but pretty average for what you can expect at a middling chain restaurant. The food arrived quickly and our server was a sweetheart! Food: We placed an order for warm Sake' and Lettuce Wraps because they are the best hands down! I come here just for the Lettuce Wraps sometimes. I ordered the Thai Harvest Curry with Chicken, it came out with a side of rice. This was sooo good I wished my stomach could hold another full order. It was a tad spicy for me, someone who doesn't really even do hot sauce so I don't really know what that's saying *shrugs*. This location is PHENOMENAL!! First of all, let me say, I LOVE P.F. CHANG'S!! We celebrated our 1st year wedding anniversary here with an all white dinner party. Not only was everything perfect....everything was really perfect!!! The staff was so accommodating, food was great, and everything was beautiful. Yesterday we had a girls' brunch and our server's name was ELLIOTT. When I say that we had a BALL, believe it!! We couldn't have asked for a better server. He truly made the day AMAZING! Our service was top notch, five stars, give this man a raise IMMEDIATELY!!! He is a true commodity and they need to hold on tight to him! My experience at PF Changs the other night was phenomenal. We had a reservation and still had to wait (about 30 minutes past our reservation time), but the hostess was apologetic and the good service definitely made up for it. The server was attentive and prompt, as was our food delivery, despite the restaurant being so crowded (Saturday night!). The manager also came over to check on us. I've been to PF Chang's in Brea, CA and now Richmond, VA. I've been to the California location several times and the Richmond location exactly three times. In all those times I've never once had a deviance from service or food quality. It's absolutely perfect every time. Maybe I need to go more often or during a really busy time? I don't know. This place certainly is has always taken care of me. I've spent two romantic dinners here with my lady love and the experience was absolutely perfect. The lettuce wraps are flawless, the Mongolian beef is divine, and the Tiramisu is in a class all its own. Our waiter was fantastic and I frankly can't even think of any more nice things to say about this place. My client mentioned he had never been to PF Chang's before so we decided rush (5:00PM) over for happy hour. (ends at 6:00PM) Once we got there the server said we don't offer "Happy Hour" anymore. Later the operating partner stopped by our table and asked how we were doing so I mentioned my disappointment with corporate's decision to stop offering "Happy Hour". He explained the reasons why and was kind to offer their NEW "Fire & Ice" on the house! Underneath a milk chocolate dome was vanilla ice and bread pudding with caramel sauce. I'm giving this restaurant a 5 star simply because the staff were so exceptionally nice, kind, worked hard, and behaved exactly as a restaurant should--blown away! We visited on a Saturday evening was late for our reservation and the place was packed--elbow room only. Social distancing was gone because of lots of hangry people! However, we were assured we could be seated in around 15 minutes. Staff quickly worked to seat everyone including a large party with a member in a custom wheelchair. The manager was busy smiling and ensuring everyone was taken care of. He was dynamic! He was always checking on tables and customers. Even made a few really cute jokes which changed the mood of the entire crowd waiting to be seated. It took 25 minute to be seated but the manager helped our impatient mood. The waitress was kind and knowledgeable. Very patient with us, made food and drink suggestions when asked and everything came out delicious and very quickly. I'm not a fan of restaurant chains; however, I will definitely be back and will be on time for my reservation! If I could bottle up the positive energy from this Restaurant and esp the manager, I could turn every failing restaurant around! read more
