Made a reservation on OpenTable and apparently it doesn't work with their system so it took 30 minutes to be seated. I'm sure it wasn't the hosts fault, but I'm disappointed from P.f. chang's offering a system they can't apparently have work. The food was pretty good, but the proportions seem to have gotten smaller from a few years ago, again not this places fault but rather P.f. chang's as a whole. I haven't been here in a few years. But I can say I'm a little bit of a fan of PF Changs. This time I was a little bit more disappointed than I was the first time with my food. I can't complain about the service because it was excellent. The food was great. The only complaint that I have was the amount of lobster I had with my surf and turf. The surf and turf is fried shrimp and lobster, and cut pieces of filet mignon. I had literally two pieces of fried lobster in my bowl. Hubby had the lobster and shrimp fried rice. We were misinformed because hubby had previously asked if there were bean sprouts in the rice and was told no, and there were. He said they were super soft. We also had the crab wontons which I fell in love with also. We also ordered the miso butterscotch pudding which was delicious. I would definitely come back to try something different. read more

I won't be returning. We had such an awful time!!!!! The waiter made me feel so bad about one being a vegetarian and two not wanting some of the vegetables!! I have been going to P.F. Chang's for years!! I know the menu and I know what I order, how to order, and what I like! Then he brought out the food at separate times. My boyfriend got his food about 10 minutes before I did! He hated his food by the way which was sushi. He normally eats all his food but for once he didn't eat it all!! I paid in cash and when the waiter returned, without handing my bill back he said "you want this back"!! What in the world! Drove from the far west end to take my sis and bro in law because they love PF Chang and don't have one in Roanoke. They both got drinks and the lettuce wraps as an entree which all came out in a short time. I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and dressing on the side. It finally came out as they were finishing their meal and it was drowned in dressing......they took it back to remake it and we waited another 20 minutes and it was awful....chicken had no flavor and dressing was extremely sour. I was having a 16th birthday party and we ordered a lot of food so I can't really explain everything i ordered, but I'll explain the best things I've ordered. The dumplings were by far the best. The meat was juicy and had a very unique tenderness, the green beans were crispy and were something I need to order again, both the chicken entrees were extremely flavorful and the sauce was delicious. We waited forever for drinks... waiter wasn't knowledgeable about the menu, told us to mix our own trio sauce, never cleared plates, and never offered us another alcoholic drink.... 2/27/2021 @7:00 We had a wonderful evening at Pf Chang's. We started off with reservations for 7, though didn't get seated till about 7:20. The staff informed us along with others who had reservations, that they were over booked. This caused a bit of a wait for reservations. I know you're thinking "why make a reservation if you're gonna wait?" It amazes me that we live in such a spoiled selfish world, people can't wait to stand a few extra minutes. We are in the middle of a pandemic and there are bound to be some set backs. Seriously, no problem at all. When we got seated, our waitress, Sarah (had pretty purple/red hair) came and greeted us. She first apologized, which she didn't need too. No one should apologize for a problem that isn't even their fault. Our meal was wonderful and so were the drinks. Another note, the general manager (guy in the fly bow tie) was noticeably running around and helping out his team. Which was really nice to see him working as hard as his team. All in all we had a wonderful experience. And people need to stop being so selfish and entitled and realize no one asked for this pandemic. OK, so I'm just leaving here for lunch and when I mean, I wasn't satisfied I wasn't satisfied. So initially I came here because I just signed up for wars program and they gave me $20 and Chang's cash and I figured I could try something new and not spend the arm and leg. So originally tried to get it for takeout, but it wouldn't take the coupon so when I looked online, it said I had to give my number to my server to receive the discount. So I ordered the Chang Spicy Chicken and side of fried rice. When I got the chicken, it was supposed to be sweet sour and spicy, but the sauce was mad salty and the chicken wasn't crispy. Before I receive my food, I watched as a server clean the table. The rag was very dirty and brown nor did she spray anything on the table. She literally just wiped everything to the floor and if she did spray that dirty towel, all she was doing is wiping old food on the table. I wanted to cancel my order then and there because I was thinking about my own table and it was probably "cleaned" the same way but I did not want to make a scene and I know they already started preparing my food. Look at my own table and it wasnt cleaned properly also wolf a small piece of something beside my drink napkin. So then I got my check gave the waiter my number to add my words and he proceeds to tell me that must be $40 to use it. Nowhere online or on the app or anything says that I had to spend $40. So I ended up ordering another entrée, which was the shrimp lo mein and food was bland. I ordered two separate entrées and my waiter maybe came to my table twice. My husband and I stopped in for lunch. Great atmosphere, quiet and easy to conversate without a lot of noise. We both ordered the pork egg rolls and shrimp fried rice. Our food came out hot and delicious. Iced tea was freshly brewed and delicious. Our server was Jisele who was absolutely the best. She explained the specials without being asked and even brought us freshly sliced lemons for our tea. She was so pleasant, funny, and provided exceptional customer service. I am only leaving 2 stars for thus review because I am hoping the items I didn't eat will be better. My wife and I ordered takeout from P.F. Chang's very hopeful about our meal. It had been a while since we had eaten there, but remembered it to be tasty. Our food was anything but. The Kung Pao chicken was so smokey it overwhelmed every other flavor in the dish. The beef and broccoli again had only one flavor. We can't figure out how you even make broccoli tasteless. The stir fried rice tasted like burned oil. The one plus is that my toddler did seem to enjoy her lo mien. After tonight's experience, I can't imagine going there again. We payed $100 with appetizers and entrees for three, and I if I had ordered from a Chinese place in our neighborhood we would have enjoyed it much more and spent half the money. read more

I had much higher expectations for this restaurant than perhaps I should have. I was extremely disappointed. Our server was very disinterested in actually waiting on us and she brought dirty dishes from another table and sat them ON our table, leaving a mess where she sat them down. The food was expensive, which I expected, but very unappealing, which I did not expect at all. The rice was not warm and very gross. My husband got the $36 Wagyu beef and it was massively undercooked and difficult to chew and swallow. The sides on the plate looked like something that had already been eaten, and were cold. The salmon was decent but it was plopped on a plate of greens that were slimy and swimming in a watery liquid. The mushrooms and greens were cold. The only hot food I got was the piece of salmon. It was an expensive meal that was not worth a fraction of what we paid. The service was poor, the food was lackluster and there was a lack of cleanliness that had me missing the super sanitizing that was the norm after the quarantine. Ok, I wanna say my bf and I gave this place multiple chances. We came back because the food was so good. The VERY first time we came here the service was super top notch. Everything came out timely and correct. Waiter was attentive but not too attentive. If you know what I mean. It was a Saturday and it was a bit busy. All the times after that though was mediocre...so SAD. A few weeks later We came and was told the waiter Emily was going to be right with us. We sat with nothing for 10-15 (it wasn't busy) another server who saw us. This is only my second visit to PF Changs and my first visit was several years ago and I don't remember my experience then. Came here for lunch with my whole team from work and arrived around 11.30 and was seated in a few minutes. All the employees were very friendly and courteous. The decor is a little too dim/dark for my liking and most of the people at our table had trouble reading the menu.. lol. There are several statues of like Ancient Chinese warriors which I am not sure really goes with the restaurant b/c it's supposed to "classy." Side note, it's pretty cold in here and I see from previous reviews that it's a frequent problem.. I got an Arnold Palmer for my drink which was pretty good, but just a tad too sweet for an Arnold Palmer. A+ for our waitress for doing a great job refilling everyone's drinks. Even though we had a party if 9, our waitress was attentive and was able to split all of our checks as well. I also go the hot and sour soup which was probably the worst I've ever had... it was really dark looking and too salty for my liking. It was kind of hard to distinguish the ingredients b/c the salty flavor was masking it. The Calamari was decent, but it wasn't the best i've ever had. The portion was definitely on the smaller side and it was strands of Calamari which I wasn't really expecting. 18 bucks with tip for lunch for a meal that was just ok was definitely not worth it.. I noticed that all the lunch portions my co-workers received were small and was definitely expecting more. Side Note: my manager got the shrimp fried rice I think and it LITERALLY came with only one piece of shrimp. We didn't mention the issue, but seriously? We got take out from P.F. Changs for a family dinner last night. I can only comment on the food and not service or decor. Chang's Chicken Soup - the pin rice noodles look like slugs which isn't exactly the most appetizing thing. The broth in the soup is basically a hot and sour. Not my favorite. Multiple times while we were eating this the family would cough. Might have been the spice but just didn't really love the flavor. Steamed Dumplings - Standard. Nothing great but not bad either. Chang's Spare Ribs - Lots of Hoisin flavor. Didn't think I liked it at first but it grew on me and I ended up eating a few of these. Good size and plenty of meat. Kung Pao Chicken - Kinda left me wanting more. Needed some vegetables throw in. Medium heat level. Beef and Broccoli - My favorite dish. Big pieces of meat that were tender. Lemon Chicken - Blah. My least favorite. Lacked flavor and the lemon flavor it did have tasted artificial. The fortune cookies were pretty humorous: "Eat more Kung Pao Chicken" "A Crab Wonton a Day keeps the Doctor away." P.F. Chang's won't be my first choice for Asian food when I'm back in Richmond. read more

Every experience at P.F. Chang's is a great one. My husband loves the broccoli and chicken and rarely tries anything new, BUT I am also open to seeing what something might taste like (unless I know its spicy). This girl cant take spice! The one thing I have learned and take advantage of is making a reservation. Especially on the weekends. There will be a 3 hour wait otherwise. Sometimes I'll feel bad walking through 30 people, saying my name and getting immediately sat, but make reservations people, make reservations! I always look forward to the lettuce wraps for an app or even my meal if I'm not starved. As messy as they are (spooning the meat in but wrapping it all up with your hands, and taking bites, feeling the excess mixture and water from the lettuce drip out haha), they are worth it! This Time I got the fried frice and sweet and sour chicken. THe fried rice was awesome and a good portion, and the chicken was good too. Our server made our first experience annoying. My other half ordered sesame chicken with shrimp fried rice instead of brown rice. When our meal came out it was an entree' of shrimp fried rice in which another server had brought out. We waited for her to come around and explained to her he wanted shrimp fried rice with his sesame chicken. She said okay and casually walked away. She came back with the entree' of sesame chicken which we assumed was going to be on the house since it was her mistake. She never explained anything . When the bill came, there you got it! She charged us for 3 entrees! When I inquired her about it, she told us we couldn't substitute shrimp fried rice for a smaller portion only as a entree'. I wanted to yell at her and tell her this is something she should have explained from the get go. That's not it.. The food was plentiful so of course we had her box what was left. While she was boxing the food, a few pieces of rice with sauce flickered onto my other half side of his neck and his nice white crisp dress shirt. She apologized and almost went to put her hands on his neck to get it then looked at me and asked was it okay. By this time he wiped the rice from his neck and his shirt which had a few small brown stains by now. We was not happy but held our cool and she was only tipped $10 which it could've been $20.I did not get this server name but she was a young lady with bangs pulled all over her eyes which you couldn't even see!
