" Not Quite as Good as other PF Chang's " My wife and I visited the PF Chang's in Spokane Washington last week and had an OK experience. The Service we received from Matt our server was excellent. He was very nice and checked in on us many times, to make sure we had everything we needed. But the food did not quite have the same taste as in does in San Diego, at the PF Chang's at the Fashion Valley Mall. I had my usual Sesame Chicken and it was good, but not the best, the sauce just lacked a little flavor. My wife had the Honey Crisp Chicken, which again was just Ok. Paul Carlson the Operating Partner should check with the Chefs to make sure they are doing everything to get the PF Chang's meals up to par on taste, with the other PF Chang's Restaurants. read more

Not what I expected and I don't mean in a good way. The decor and ambiance are beautiful. Sat at the bar to finish up some email with a glass of wine then decided to take something to go for the hotel. Based on what I have had before and what I felt would keep best on the drive back I chose Mongolian Beef. I do understand it's hard to get stuff right now with supply chain issues but this meat was just bad. Grisly, chewy along with an oily strange flavor. The knife cuts were novice at best and the chef should have been embarrassed to serve it. Had I still been in the restaurant I would have sent it back. Bummer dinner for sure. At least the fortune cookie did not disappoint. It had a good message too:). read more

I ordered both the dynamite shrimp and the Mongolian beef on Postmates. Not only was the food delicious but it also came in a sealed bag, which I thought was a nice touch as we tend to put a lot of faith in the strangers driving our food around. They also put the sauce on the side of the shrimp, which is something I forgot to add in my order. I've often ordered food only to realize I forgot to order the sauce on the side and the food is soggy by the time I get home. Its thoughtful of them to automatically put it on the side for a to go order! read more

This was our first time at PF Chang's. The service was ok nothing to get excited about. We did have great seats in the patio area outside and we were able to pass the time we spent waiting watching the people. The food was good we had the Chicken Lettuce wraps, Honey Shrimp and the Ginger Chicken and Broccoli and there was enough of it. The price was very reasonable. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. Which is something I always look for. We're not sure we would go back but that's just us. read more

I am a girl who eats out a LOT by myself. I am usually given the worst table in the house. I am normally forgotten and received mediocre service, at best. It's just the way it is. All of that being said, I am also a girl who loves my dining experiences. And, a girl who will speak my mind, at the time. Just because I'm alone does not give you the right to give me sub-par anything. I entered your restaurant and was politely greeted and promptly taken to my decent table. Danni (Danielle) came to my table in a timely fashion. She had a big smile on her face. She engaged with me. (I hope I don't get her in trouble for this) She actually sat down for about 30-45 seconds to discuss the menu with me. She gave me excellent suggessions, which I took her up on and was totally glad I did. She was funny. She gave me excellent service. She cared. I left a note on the receipt for her. I told her in person how she made my night. The bartender looked taken aback when he heard what I was saying. I think it is all too common that people complain yet, when service is good, great or even fantastic, they fail to mention it. I believe in you punish in private and praise in public. I did that. I can't thank Danni for the fabulous service she gave me that night. I had a wonderful dinner and tried new things on your menu, thanks to her. She was spot on with her suggestions in quality and quantity. I do hope that this gets passed on up the chain and not just at her particular location. I usually get the Pad Thai but the last few times I've had it here the chicken was really dry and I was really wanting some stir fried veggies. I ordered the Beef a la Sichuan. The description is "Flank steak strips, fiery pepper sauce, green onion, julienned veggies". So I was excited to try it. I ordered without rice. Let me start with the good - the steak was good and the Sichuan sauce was very good - spicy but not too spicy. The bad - my definition of veggies is at least 3 or 4 different kinds of vegetables and I thought they would be stir fried with the meat and sauce. The only vegetables were carrots and celery. The carrots were julienne but the celery was large slices - 3 inches or so and raw. They were cold. The green onions were very large also around 3 inches, also raw and there were a plethora of them. If you love cold large chucks of green onions and celery this is the dish for you! I was disappointed. I left feeling a little hungry still and a little upset I paid $16.50 for raw celery and green onions. Also our server was condescending while we were deciding what to order. I think it took us about 10 minutes to figure out what we wanted - and no I did not complain about the meal. I gave it 3 stars because the beef and sauce were good. I think it will be quite some time before we venture back if ever. read more

It has been several years since I last visited a PF Chang (Salt Lake City). I knew it would disappoint but i'm shocked by the total disappointment. Hollow, meaningless service that left used dishes on the table, failed to understand that everyone wanted water, was totally focused on the tip and failed to realize that we were humans, not just a number. PF Chang might have led the upscale chinese food movement with a bistro feel... but now it just feels generic. We had trouble finding anything worthwhile on the menu, especially knowing that everything was fried or nasty. The food was total generic sugar sauce chinese. Mostly fried and if it was not fried it was loaded with sweet. Sichuan Beef was overcook and poorly blended with uncooked vegetables. The beef with Broccoli was generic and had zero garlic flavor. I will do just about anything to prevent a return visit. I knew it would be a disappointment going in but would beg guests to go to Gordy's Sichuan or Peking North as an alternative. read more

We spent the night in downtown Spokane while traveling. Usually we like to try local, independent places while traveling, but this time we just wanted something predictable and reliable, as the PF Changs near our home generally is. The Downtown Spokane location, not so much. It started at the host stand where we waited about 5 minutes to be greeted (about 6pm on a Wednesday night, the place was not at all busy). When we sat down, the host handed each of us, including my teenage son, a cocktail menu, but told us to scan a QR code for the food menu.....really, newsflash, it is not 2021 anymore....just plain lazy. The server, doing double duty as the bartender was nice enough, but we waited 30 minutes for our entrees (3 noodle dishes) and again, the place was dead. My Pad Thai was fine, but the Lo Mein my wife and son ordered was cold and dry. The chocolate cake we ordered for desert was stale. Stay away from this place. Judging my the level of business that they had when we were there, I guest most everyone else has gotten that memo. Now we know. read more

Eww! I normally like PF Chang's but the food at this one came out disgusting. I ordered three small plates and only one was edible. Yikes: Dynamite Shrimp: It was completely mushy. No exaggeration, the shrimp were mushier than mashed potatoes! Lobster Tacos: Super greasy and the lobster did not taste like lobster. I honestly don't know what it was. We celebrated our Mom's 93rd birthday last night (Feb 28th). We had reservations but found that they were going to put us in a corner booth. I asked if we could please have a table and they did not hesitate to accommodate. Thank you for that! Andrew was our waiter and he was INCREDIBLE!!! (ladies and gents) I have never had a complaint. One side note, you are better off parking in the mall parking lot if it's a Friday or Saturday night. Well, it's another PF Chang's. That's true enough. They stick to their strict corporate standard quite well. So coming from PF Chang's in Phoenix to the one here in Spokane, I know exactly what to expect. I suppose that's a good thing. Consistency, ya know, not always bad. I only give it 3 stars though because... well... I expect more from my food. Especially Chinese food. Come on, I don't want to have to add 6 scoops of chili paste to a "spicy" dish, in order to start to feel a tingle. It's tasty and all, but... really? I guess I'm a bit disillusioned about the Americanized Chinese food craze. I prefer my food more authentic. Give me chicken feet, hot pot and mouth-numbingly hot mapo dofu any day. 4-18-12 actual date of dining Very uninspiring for PF Changs in fact, this is the second time that I have been disappointed by a meal at PFC. The other time was over the mountains in Seattle in the downtown location. The place was pretty busy but I have been to about 20 or 25 of these places over the past several years and almost all of them have been consistent, except this one and the one I mentioned above. The Mandarin chicken was really bland and tasted more sauteed than stir fried and the seasoning was just not in line with the high quality and above average price of most PFC dishes. The orange peel chicken was so dry it could have been called arid chicken and it was not piping hot when it arrived. Additionally the Szechuan asparagus was overcooked and did not taste very fresh--which is odd because it's in season right now. The last time I was here it was decent but not great. Usually PF. Chang is good but perhaps Spokane is too gourmand and the quality of the food here reflects that. I can only imagine that the one in Kennewick is worse, if my analysis holds true. Based on what I am seeing here, the management at PFC should be concerned because the offerings of this place reflects their brand which is usually very strong everywhere else. However, I am starting to think that if I want Chinese while in the Kan, I need to just go to Panda Express because it's actually a bit better than this particular PFC is. I don't know if I have ever given a 1 to a restaurant but this place is really a disappointment and I hope that the people who manage this place read their reviews. read more

And I remember why we never come here. On a Friday night when my husband convinces me that we should go to PF Chang's, or rather I feel guilty and tell him we should go to P.F. Chang's after suggesting it yesterday and me saying no. We go to P.F. Chang's. After him driving around for about 20 minutes trying to find parking he successfully find somewhere to park. I had told the waiter that I was waiting for my husband as is the polite thing to do. Then for 20 minutes he is not to be seen or heard from, not even water. When my husband finally arrives it is about 10 to 15 minutes before the server realizes that he is there. Once the server realizes he needs to get me an allergy menu which takes another 10 to 15 min. My fault I should've asked when I first sat down. The drinks finally come about 20 mins later. Then it's time to order food and this takes about 35 to 40 minutes for our food to come out it was pretty ridiculous. One entrée, two appetizers. And in fact the people next to us didn't get their meal for over an hour. I would've been really upset if I was them. And this is why I never come to PF Chang's, the food is not good enough for the wait time. read more

Careful what you wish for. Having been to other locations, I was so excited Spokane was getting a PF Chang's. Its always pretty good food and service is usually decent. I don't always say that about a large chain. But now that its here, I'm just not so thrilled. I can't give the two stars as nothing is really wrong. I guess what I'm trying to say is its not one of my top choices of places to go, given all the unique choices in the area. Its a great location, a pleasing decor and the outdoor seating is inviting. Like most people, I like the lettuce wraps and I recommend the lemon scallops. It is what it is - American Asian food. Which isn't a bad thing and at least they aren't afraid to add some spices. However, there is a different feel at the Spokane location. The energy is different. Much more relaxed and maybe even a little sleepy. Dare I say it? Spok-coma strikes again. Here in Spok-coma we tend to change the vibe of a place and make it our own. However, besides the lack of energy in the place, tonight the only complaint was that the after-dinner coffee was horrible. But I think someone just made an error in making it. It was that awful and I can't imagine they serve it like that on a daily basis. read more

I rarely ever write a review about chain restaurants, we all know what you are going to get at a Applebee's or Red Lobster, you either appreciate it or you don't so there is little reason to waste digital ink. However, since PF Chang's is new to Spokane I thought I would throw my .02 in. Like most chain restaurants a lot of money and attention is paid to the atmosphere and Chang's doesn't miss a beat. The exterior and interior are nice, they even have a nice dining patio if you wish to overlook the mall and people watch. Where this (and most chains) fail is the food. They have to market their food for a broad spectrum of palates across the country. They also have to have food that is consistent in taste and presentation. It's a tough job getting just the right mix of ingredients that will sell well in Sarasota Fl and Spokane WA. Unfortunately in order to accomplish this chins must dumb down the food to appeal to the masses. In this case you get a highly Americanized/Asian fusion bistro. They rely on copious amounts of soy (salt) and fat (oil/deep-fried items) to assuage the typical fast food American palate. BTW, I have eaten at PF Chang's 5 times in 3 different states and they get kudos for preparing their fare consistently The bottom line is that this food is akin to Asian food as Olive Garden is akin to Italian or Taco Bell is akin to Mexican. While it uses some of the same flavors and names it's certainly no more representative of true Asian the stuff you buy at the mall food court. Don't get me wrong the food is not terrible or inedible, there are even some surprisingly decent fusion dishes albeit loaded with tons of salt. Will you like PF Chang's?????? If you find yourself frequenting chains like Olive Garden, Applebee's, Red Lobster and think they offer good food at reasonable prices good you will probably love PF Chang's. If on the other hand you are the type to be eating in the hand drawn noodle house where you are the only white folks there. Or you go into Asian bakeries where no one speaks English and walk out with a bag full of "stuff" you might be a little disappointed and also shocked at the over-priced nature of their food. If you are the later I suggest you skip PF Chang's and head to Gordy's for a nicer Szechuan meal or to Ming Wah for a cheaper San Fran style Chinese meal. read more

Even though I've only been here twice my experiences have been wonderful. Around this time of year you can sit outside & enjoy. Of course beware of the bees, they love their food & when waved away they seem to find their way back. Our waiter Kyle was fabulous. He was always checking to make sure we were good, made sure we had plenty of lettuce for our wraps, & even helped with the bee problem.....our hero waiter :-) When finished you are close enough to take a walk in the park & enjoy the carousel.....even an adults can have a little fun too ;-) read more

My first time ordering PF Chang's delivery in Spokane, selected the Korean Bulgogi Steak with Yukon potatoes. Um. DISGUSTING. I didn't think to take a picture before I cut GRISTLE off every piece in this pan and had fed my dog a huge chunk of a 3rd piece of just FAT. See two pieces in my hand, just FAT chunks. My dog was loving my disappointment. This bit of medium rare beef with some bland potatoes was $26.95. I called today and they are sending me a $35 gift card. Manager did not want to see my photo. I asked manager to find out who was the cook who sent this out to me. If I get the gift card and have a decent experience, I will leave a kinder review at that time. One picture is the meat I got, other picture is what site made me believe I ordered. Trying to make an edible meal from what I received = cutting of gristle, feeding wads of fat to my dog, reheating using some sesame oil for the flavorless beef (it was supposed to have a "savory Mongolian glaze"). Wife and I went here on a Tuesday night. Haven't been here in three years, however we've always had great food and service. We were promptly seated, and waited on. Our waitress was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and very prompt. She brought us out some lettuce wraps and asked if we wanted them, since they were made for another customer by mistake who didn't want them. I had the Kung Poa Shrimp, which was awesome as always. My wife had Orange Peel chicken which was also delicious. The service was so good that I ended up giving the waitress about a 90% tip. It's been a long time since a waiter/waitress had impressed me like that. One of the best PF Changs we've ever eaten at and we'll always go back. read more

Been coming to this place since it opened, treated right with quick service, however the last year the place has become poorly managed. Slow service coupled with poor customer service has made me think twice. After a long drive from home, felt like walking here from the hotel and grabbing a nice plate of Kung Pao, however after being sitting right away 7 minutes went by, with multiple wait staff walking by, no acknowledgement or water. Told myself if the waiter comes out again and doesn't notice me then I'm leaving, sure enough two people walk my way but passed on by. Enough, heading across the street to Red Robin. Don't expect to see P.F. Change here for much longer, the poor service is evident with the lack of patrons. read more
