absolutely insane it was a late night and we were beyond thankful P. Terrys was open none of us had ever had it before my brother-in-law got the chicken nuggets and I got the burger, french fries and a drink. Service is great. They were very quick with the order. The ambience was nice. I do wish that customers took better care of businesses in the area you could tell that they have some of the worst customers who leave trash all over the floor, but yet they still all had a smile on their face were doing their best during busy rushes.

Not good. I ordered a burger and the chicken bites. The chicken bites were dry and tasted of old fryer oil. The burger patties had absolutely no sear or flavor. It may as well have been a microwaved gas station burger. Sorry for the sauced receipt, I threw it in the bag with my sauce before I realized I didn't take a picture. We had to wait a very long time to place our order, and the shop was super messy. It's been a long time since I've lived in Austin, so I don't remember how much I liked it before. Unfortunately, this leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

This place hits especially late at night after coming home from ACL. This place is a dupe for In N Out. I will say the burgers aren't as good as In N Out, however their fries are better, not cardboard texture like In N Out.

I had a good experience at this P. Terry's. Great location downtown, very convenient, good food too and great value. It was a pretty small restaurant but there felt like a lot of seating. Service was good - the cashier was nice and we got our food pretty quick too! The only complaint I have is that the bathroom was pretty messy. But overall, I had a good experience here and would come back

Without a doubt the best fast food burger chain. Burgers are always super fresh, juicy, and delicious. Every location pumps out amazing burgers. Double Cheeseburgers - 5/5 Delicious burgers. Quick service. Friendly. I've never had a bad burger ever from any P. Terry's. My absolute favorite spot.

We're KC bbq people, but wanted to try it here. This place came highly recommended but our bar is pretty high. Some differences... they don't serve it as sandwiches, you have to ask for bread and no, there aren't any buns. I would go with the brisket and skip the turkey. No pork and no burnt ends, which are some of our favs.the brisket could be cut w a plastic fork and was amazing we had green beans and creamed corn for sides... also good but a little different. No fries on the menu... that's a staple for KC BBQ. The line was long on a Saturday late afternoon but it moved fast and it helped that you could belly up to the outside bar for one of their frozen blackberry margaritas... also a do not miss. Don't let the line scare you away.

I got the double cheeseburger (no combo). Combo includes burger, fries, and drink. Everything on the menu is available even during breakfast hours, which was when I went. They asked me if regular was ok. I assumed it meant with everything-it included tomatoes, lettuce, onions-and I said yes. It wasn't as fast as I thought it would be considering there was only one customer before me and waited about 5 minutes. The burger was good! Juicy patty and cheese is great. A great fast food place to stop by.

This is great for a quick late night snack. Prices are low. I found my burger and shake met my needs exactly. Staff was nice. I think I waited less than five mins for my order.

THIS PLACE IS LEGIT…read more I was a bit hesitant to visit Gus's because I've seen both positive and negative reviews, and didn't know who to trust. So I took some of the criticism (sides suck EXCEPT for collard greens and okra) into consideration for my order. I arrived at opening, and the restaurant already had a few customers. I got the 3-piece dark meat meal (15.25), and a refillable drink ($3 but you can keep the cup). My meal was ready in under 10 minutes, and could see that everything was freshly made. The hue on the chicken was beautiful --- it's not just a crust, that's some batter on Gus's chicken! The okra and the collards passed the test (DELICIOUS), and I was hoping for the chicken to be as "world famous" as I've heard. THE CHICKEN DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The crunch was undeniable, the slight heat from the marinade was present, and overall flavor was simply...pleasurable. My rule for chicken? Always get the dark meat. I took my souvenir cup with me, but I can finally say I tried Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken --- and it is world famous for good reason!

The food is incredible, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff truly make this place special. Huge shoutout to amazing team members Ariel and Emily for being so warm and kind. The chef even made our pup Zoloft a pup cup today, which was such a sweet gesture. The lovely woman who helped us during our last visit also gave Zoloft a pup cup, so they've consistently shown kindness to our little family. They even gave complimentary vegan cookies to guests when we arrived (not sure if it was a special promotion, but such a thoughtful touch!). And the ice cream... WOW. Made with lentils, and honestly some of the best ice cream we've ever had--rich, creamy, and unforgettable. Friendly staff, delicious food, thoughtful service, and creative plant-based treats. Mission Burger is a gem in Austin, and we'll absolutely be back again whenever we return to Austin

Perfect spot for late-night tacos!…read more The best part is that they have great vegetarian options, including both paneer and tofu tacos, and both are absolutely delicious. It's not always easy to find flavorful vegetarian tacos, so this place was a pleasant surprise. I loved it so much that I ended up visiting twice during my two-day trip to Austin. If you're in the city, this place is definitely worth checking out!

Sixth Street's neon and noise are basically next door, the Capitol sits up the hill, and the whole area is packed with people, bars, and that classic Austin mix of polished downtown hustle and late-night chaos. Velvet Taco is pure counter-service: you walk right up, order at the register, and then grab a seat. There's plenty of seating, so even with a couple of kids in tow it was no problem finding a spot. The place leans hard into what can only be called white-people tacos--soft, sad flour tortillas that taste like they came straight out of a grocery-store package, loaded with every wild creation the kitchen can invent. Global mashups, brunch hybrids, burger impostors, the works. No one is pretending these are the real deal. I went for the chicken-and-waffles taco, which was actually built on a thin, real waffle instead of a tortilla. Surprisingly good--crispy, a little sweet, chicken holding its own. The burger taco tasted exactly like a cheeseburger that had wandered into a tortilla and decided to stay. We also tried the shrimp taco (fine), one daughter got the kids' chicken taco (perfectly kid-level), and the other ordered the chicken tikka (spicy, saucy, and very much in the "why is this on a tortilla?" category). Everything was okay. Comparable to Torchy's in that same creative-American-taco lane. If you're looking for a true Mexican taco, stay far away. But if you just want to play around with some decent flavors on a cheap flour store-bought tortilla while sitting in the middle of downtown Austin, this is your spot. Not my favorite. Glad I tried it. Won't be back.
