The place is a nice hang out, after work type vibe. Everyone is very polite and nice. The bar is on your left side as you walk into the restaurant. There is a patio which is behind the bar that has no wall so you can see outside and vice versa. Overall the environment is for a nice get-together. The only thing I am unfortunately being critical on is the food. - Kimchi rice which looked good from posted pictures did in fact look good. However when my gf tried and asked me to try it, we both looked confused (lol). It did not taste like kimchi at all, despite the rice being red, and no kimchi included in the rice. - The steak tacos were flavorless despite how tender they came out. - Chips + guac, especially the guac, did not have any sort of flavor. - Veggies were good so that made up for our dishes. Came here on a Friday at around 12:30 pm with my coworkers (who have now become more so friends!). There are spots to park on the street, but they were all full, so we parked at the Kohl's nearby and walked on over, ready to eat. We waited 5 minutes for them to accommodate our group of 9. The restaurant was filled with other workers grabbing lunch with their coworkers (who I hope have become friends), and there are different "room areas" for seating. The restaurant was very bright and well decorated. We were given water right away when seated and attended to pretty quickly to order. We waited around 15-20 minutes to receive our food. I ordered the taco platter with crispy Alaskan cod and a side of black beans. You can choose between a house salad, fries, chips and salsa -- my personal pick. The cod was excellently battered, and tasted very fresh and tender. Paired with the sauce on top, it was absolutely delicious! My friend ordered the Mexican Grill with seared chile-lime shrimp, which is essentially a rice bowl with brown rice, corn, guac, pico, cheese, cilantro, and tortilla chips. She enjoyed the freshness of the bowl and kept saying that the flavors were melting in her mouth. She cleared the bowl and loved the sauce ratio. To quote, "they weren't skimpy with the shrimp." All my other friends also cleared their plates, showing their satisfaction with the flavors. They ordered the West Coast salmon bowl, shrimp taco platters, and the star of the show: the fresh catch, striped sea bass with Asian chimichurri sauce and a side of broccolini and mashed potatoes -- my friend was RAVING about this dish. Went on an aloha friday crawl for $6 mai tais. The vibes are this location are not as good as the santa clara location as it seems outdated and a bit dark. Decent bar area with TVs. Got the mai tai here but they made it completely different here than at santa clara so now im interested in how the other locations make it. We've eaten at various Pacific Catch locations and what I'd say is we're pretty much always satisfied with the food and drinks. Service can vary depending on how busy things are, but generally pretty good. Our food tonight was satisfying as usual - I had the bowl and the fish and rice tasted good (I was famished). I did wish that this drink was blended. 3 Taco Platter (2 Traditional Baja & 1 Cabo Shrimp with miso salad) - YUM!! I was very happy with my entrée - the crispness of the battered Atlantic cod and shrimp were perfectly balanced with avocado and lime crema. Hula Brownie Sundae - Good! And it was not bogged down by sauce. It was so good! The catch of the day looked good too, and you can make it really healthy with having two vegetable sides. I got the brownie sundae for desert and I loved the coconut ice cream. The brownie was decadent, but it wasn't too rich. It was just the right amount of sweetness. Visited Pacific Catch at the recommendation of Hotel Citrine in Palo Alto and had a very positive experience. The menu has mostly seafood but some non-seafood offerings. I went with yellowfin tuna with herbed butter sauce which complimented the fish beautifully and brought out the butter flavor of the fish. My sides were a salad and broccolini, which both complimented by fish perfectly. The salad was so yummy and had some unique toppings like edamame and a delicious house dressing. My colleague and dinner companion did the same fish but with chimichurri sauce and different accompaniments. Both pieces of fish were cooked to perfection and cut like soft butter with just a fork. Paired with a white wine, this meal was delicious! Service was attentive and also not pushy or rushed. We sat outside (not the covered patio) to take advantage of the last of the warm evenings this year. No complaints. read more

There was also cucumber on the side. Overall the food was super tasty and portion size was plentiful * fresh catch - my boyfriend got this with salmon with a new Thai curry sauce as well as kimchi fried rice and mashed potatoes. The food was delicious and went super well together * cheesecake dulce de leche spring roll - you guys this was weirdly delicious, a cheese cake spring roll with ice cream... it was hearty but mighty. The last time I went a few months ago, I got a sea bass plate since I really wanted a "fish steak" and was disappointed by the portion size and the price. We are Marylanders, and we visited Pacific Catch twice during our visit to northern California. Our first visit was during a late lunch, and the restaurant was virtually empty. We were seated near the front. We loved the food and the casual, welcoming ambience (90% of this good feeling was due to our awesome waiter!) My husband and son thought that the fish & chips were delicious, and the portions were generous. I ordered fish tacos, which were delectable! However, when we returned to Pacific Catch the next day, the vibe was decidedly and ominously different. The place was filling up with diners.The young hostess led us straight to a separate room--some distance away from the front--where we would have been the only guests. As my husband, our son, and I were being led there, we recognized that we were being "Jim Crowed," and we asked to seated elsewhere--near the front. The hostess obliged. After we finished our meal, my husband asked to speak to the manager. He led the manager to that separate room, which was now full of Asian, African-American, and Hispanic diners. The white/European-American diners were seated everywhere else except that segregated room. My husband pointed this out to the manager, who was full of denial, regret, and apologies. This incident affected our enjoyment of the meal. We could not believe this event happened to us in northern California, but then, this is America--so there's that. There is still no such thing as letting one's guard down completely-- even to relax and enjoy a bite to eat. No matter how good the food is, there is no nourishment when racism is in the recipe. read more

We decided to try out happy hour since I had a recharge day for work so was able to make it there before 18:00. There was designated seating for the happy hour which is either the bar or high tables next to the bar. But it was all indoor seating which was great since it was mighty chilly outside. I thought the service was great. Our server was super nice! My experience here was better than the other Pac Catch location nearby. Anyhow, we ordered a margarita with salt, pupu platter (it looks better than it sounds), poke&ceviche trio and spicy tuna sushi. In general, I felt all the dishes were ok. For the pupu, I think the fried coconut shrimp could have been crispier. Everything else on the plate was acceptable. Quantity wise, it was good for two people. We were able to finish everything except for the wonton chips in the trio, which I also didn't really enjoy. Also, the rice on the sushi a bit soggy for my taste. If we return, I might probably still just order the trio and try some tacos instead. read more

I've been getting take out here since the pandemic, but the food seems to have gone downhill lately. The last time, I decided to try their "new" shrimp louie salad. Pacific Catch...please invest in a salad spinner. The lettuce was wet with large drops of water. I think that really made the lettuce tasteless even with the dressing. The shrimp were also very bland...and that is being generous. I'm not a chef, but even I know you need to heavily season the water so the shrimp have flavor. These didn't even taste like they were salted. On the plus side, the shrimp were large and tender. So, basically, I was eating some soft tasteless shrimp with watery lettuce. The fries were good! I'm pretty sad about the state of their food now since they did help get me through the pandemic when I didn't want to cook. They were once my go to for a healthy meal, but not anymore :-( read more

E ordered the Baja bowl thing that had salmon, she enjoyed it. It looked good to me and I picked at some of the carrot slaw that tasted pretty good. I was served my F & C, I went for the three piece portion, shoulda done the four piece but portion control is my new diet. Piece size is appx. 2-3 ounce. It was all good, hot and tasty, a safe choice today. We had a good chat, finished up and got on the road.
