We had a very large group but John provided us with the most exceptional customer service we had experienced in a very long time! He was so amazingly thoughtful and patient with us. Came here multiple times before writing this review. Their poke and ceviches arent the best so I'd probably just get a poke bowl for like $15 elsewhere rather than paying $20 and up for very little fish. Also got their firecracker salmon roll ($13) and it was a bit too dry. The only thing I really liked was their taco platter which comes with 2 tacos, black beans, and fries for $15.I got their fried cod and it was huge and crispy. Kudos to Pacific Catch for sourcing their seafood sustainably. This made it much easier to decide where to order fish from! Note my order is based on a delivery only. I ordered a "small" poke bowl with half greens and brown rice base. They made it simple to customize to your preference. I was pleasantly surprised to find a generous size for a small. Even after scarfing down a good size portion there were leftovers! Ahi and veggies were super fresh and flavor profiles were quite satisfying. Would love to try Pacific Catch once things really start opening up and maybe even bring my pup! According to their website they are dog friendly. I enjoy going here and the food is decent! My last visit was this past weekend and I went with a couple that are vegan. There are a few vegan choices and of course swapping out protein with tofu and the staff was accommodating! I enjoy their soft tacos (Baja shrimp and steak) and their fries! I really wanted to like this place. We got lucky with parking across the street (free at the park). The inside was trendy but we decided to sit outside because the weather was great. Unfortunately, it seems the outside area is treated like "out of sight, out of mind" by the staff. The service was atrocious. It took forever to get our food. My cousin's margarita was tiny/all ice and gone in about 3 sips. The food was okay, but not fantastic. Our server never, not once came to check on us and we were waterless for at least 20 minutes and he was nowhere to be found and the other outdoor tables weren't being helped either. The next time we saw him, he brought the check and we asked for water. Another 10 minutes passed and we started to get up to find someone to pay with and he saw us and came over to take our payment (never got the water). Came here for the first time with friends and reservations are accepted. This place kind of reminds me of another franchise and the place is warm and cozy as we had an area to ourselves for a party of 6. I had the grilled sea bass with two sides, broccolini and a salad and it was healthy and delish! We lost track of the time and didn't realize someone was waiting for our table but the manager was very nice and offered to move us to another table if we wanted to continue catching up, but it was time for us to go. This place is excellent! I was looking for some quality sashimi and this place had it in spades! I got the Sashimi Trio and it was excellent. The sashimi tasted fresh and the sides that came with it paired wonderfully! I also just love how this restaurant looks. It is very spacious and its wood furniture and large windows give it a very welcoming atmosphere. The service was great too and FAST! My friend and I ordering our food and it came out in about five minutes! The only downside is that I was still hungry for more afterwards and this place can be a bit on the pricey side depending on what one orders. The hawaiian butterfly is one of the best drinks I've ever had. I have to get it when I visit their Tustin location back home. I love Pacific Catch (as you can see by my many review updates throughout the years). I was so thankful that we got to experience the recently remodelled Pacific Catch this past week. My dad was in town visiting and Pacific Catch was key for evening meals - due to their extensive menu, and their lovely heated outdoor seating (right in front of the restaurant) We thoroughly enjoyed each of our meals here. Our server was amazing (we had the same waiter on both visits) and the food was superb. From calamari, to perfectly cooked sea bass on top of Thai brussels sprouts, crispy chicken rice bowls, salmon, hot toddies, and much more - we loved everything that we ordered. Pacific Catch's newly updated interior looks fantastic. I've always appreciated their vibe, but the decor has a new chicness about it now. We always hit up Pacific Catch when we are in golden gate park. (If not here it's Underdogs) The Tiki Terrace is a great outdoor space. Usually we opt for several small plates to share. Service is a hit or miss, the new remodel is nice, and the food (which they often are out of certain items on the food and cocktail menu) is always consistent. We frequently visit Golden Gate Park and the museums so we decided to try out Pacific catch since it is walking distance from the CA Academy of Science. The restaurant was nice and bright and the staff was very friendly. Food: I ordered the pupu platter ($29) and my husband ordered the mixed catch ($21) so we can taste a variety of things on the menu. My pupu platter came with the chicken katsu musubi which was delicious with the grilled pineapple and coconut shrimp which was crunchy and yummy. It also came with the tataki ahi bombs which were a disappointment because when you call something a bomb, you are think it is exploding with flavor. This was just basically an inari sushi with slices of tuna on top. The house Mac salad and the sticky ribs lacked flavor too. I actually enjoyed my husband's mixed catch better which had fried cod, coconut shrimp, and calamari all which were yummy. The only thing I did not like off his plate was the cole slaw which was limp and did not taste fresh. Drinks: Highlight for me were the drinks. I ordered the caramelized piña colada which was so yummy but still strong. My husband ordered the lemongrass mojito which was a lot tamer in taste but also packed a punch ABV wise. Service: Best part of the meal was Desiree. She was so nice and ensured we were completely satisfied with our meal. When my daughter didn't like her meal, she replaced it with another meal. Many restaurants in Inner Sunset are closed on Mondays, so after a quick walk up and down 9th Ave, we decided to go to Pacific Catch! We came around 6pm and as expected on a Monday night, we got seated fairly quickly upon arrival. We did have to wait for a few minutes at the entrance since for some reason, there wasn't an employee standing there taking care of incoming customers waiting to be seated. We opted to sit inside to warm up quicker, but for those who do want to dine outdoors, there is a fireplace outside! I ordered the Seared Ahi Fish Burger with Sweet Potato Fries ($17). The burger came on a black sesame bun and I actually prefer this over a regular bun. It was a little sweet and I felt like it paired perfectly with the ahi tuna. The ahi tuna was cooked perfectly and overall, it was a quick and easy meal. However, I do prefer ranch as my dipping sauce for fries, but for some reason, they don't carry ranch? Just a note for others who like ranch - I was told they only have ketchup and barbecue sauce! The restaurant is extremely spacious, which is evident in how they offer indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a couple locations throughout the Bay Area and in my opinion, it's a solid location to grab seafood here! read more

We had a great dinner! Cabby was incredible, he was accommodating to our large, energetic group. We took awhile and he didn't mind at all!

The parking situation near this restaurant is crazy. We live within walking distance, so we just walked over. My suggestion is that you may find parking either on Lincoln or inside Golden Gate Park. It's not ideal, but you can be circling for 20 minutes trying to find a spot for the car especially during the dinner hour. We dropped by around 5:30 and there was a choice between the bar area and the dinner booths. we chose the dinner booths. I suspect that there may be an appetizer menu for the bar area. I'm not sure, but I saw a couple of plates of food on some of the other customers table while we were walking out that I didn't see on the menu I was given. We are not big alcohol drinkers,but may try the bar area next time. I'm generally ok just ordering appetizers to share, Both husband and son ordered the fish and chips. I ordered the Chilean sea bass tacos because I love Chilean sea bass. There is an option to get 2 or 3 tacos. This came with a salad and black beans. I did asked the waitress if I wanted 2 or 3. It's really hard to gauge the portion size. I wasn't terribly hungry, but I also didn't know if these were street size tacos (if you know what I mean. ). She said if I wasn't that hungry, to go for the 2 taco portion. I was completely satisfied with that option. These Chilean Sea Bass tacos were delicious and there was a fair amount of fish there. If you purchase Chilean Sea Bass at the fish market, you can be prepared to spend 25 to 35 dollars/ pound just for the fish. They definitely did not skimp on the portion size here. the black beans were also delicious. I also enjoyed the salad. No hesitation to order this meal again. Both my son and husband said their meals were just ok. why? Crust wasn't as crispy as it should have been and was falling off the fish. Also, tartare sauce was served and husband was expecting malt vinegar. I said you should have asked for that as I'm sure they would have brought it to you. I tried both the fish and the fries. I do have to say the my husband was right, both could have been crispier. Husband ordered the peach crumble when we ordered our dinner. To give the waitress credit, she told us that she would put in this order a bit later so that we could enjoy it warm. This is the kind of waitress you want. Service was phenomenal. I would say that the peach crumble was a disappointment. There was a macadamia nut crumble on the bottom, a scoop of ice cream and a sprinkling of peaches and a bit of jam. It was ok, but I certainly would not pass it off as a peach crumble. Peaches are in season right now I would expect more peaches. I doubt that there as more than a 1/4 of a peach in that dessert. The restaurant is modern and clean. It is in the sunset and they have an outdoor area, but I imagine that it wouldn't be a place that would be pleasant unless there was a heat wave, The sunset is really just a bit too cold to have dinner outside unless it's sheltered and/or had heat lamps. Overall. I would come back for the Chilean sea bass tacos. I think the fish and chips were just ok and both husband and son said they would come back, but maybe try something else next time. as for dessert, I think we will skip this course or go down the street to a dessert place to have dessert. Total cost was 85 which was more than reasonable for 3 entrees and a dessert. Come on people, food prices are high so, stop rating restaurants low because you think it's overpriced. Ratings should be based on food, service and ambiance, not if you can afford it. It's ok to say the food was good, but not someplace that we would be going to every week because the prices are a bit more than you care to spend. Everyone wants value for their money, but at the end of the day, restaurants are there to make money. They would go under if they are not making money, We tipped 23% in cash and I think the waitress was surprised as we walked out while she was trying to give us change. I don't remember her name, but she was great and one of the reasons that we will be back. (Just not for dessert ) read more

An unbelievable first night in San Francisco. First, we had a wonderful meal here- delicious - fish, appetizers and sides expertly prepared. Generous portions. Our server (trying so hard to remember his name!) was amazing. And then.... When we left, we found our rental car was stolen. We walked back into the restaurant and staff there was so kind and gracious, made us comfortable and even offered complimentary drinks while we sorted out next steps.
