Tonight there was just a fun bustling vibe, the service was fantastic and please don't take the hand roll sushi off the menu, it is just the perfect few bites that I get every time (in addition to other things). Lastly, we've never ordered dessert at PC before, but the peach cobbler on the specials menu felt like a summer treat on a foggy evening, it was slightly unusual for a cobbler, but really worked and was delicious ! read more

Pacific catch is a solid restaurant. It's fairly consistent and the portions are large. This review is specifically for their Japanese wasabi poke bowl. I love how customizable this dish is. You can select from a variety of protein options and can double up on any of them. When I'm going for it I get the ahi poke and the crab salad. I also like to do have salad half sushi rice. You can also choose brown rice but I think of this bowl more as an open sushi roll so I prefer the sushi rice. It just works! It comes with avocado, pickled ginger, and pickles too. When I am craving something filling and healthy enough this is a go to. I often order it for delivery and it works great! It is on the saltier side but that's fine by me. Definitely try out this dish if you have a chance. They also have a great happy hour so definitely go in person for that and take advantage! read more

We haven't been to Pacific Catch since before the pandemic. It was one of those local institutions that has a loyal SF clientele, that like us, would go there monthly or annually just because that is what we have always done after a day in the park. The food was hit or miss and the decor sadly needed attention. Tables were sticky and it was one of those bathrooms you were afraid to touch anything. Post pandemic, Pacific Catch has been completely transformed! It is so beautifully redesigned that I couldn't believe it was the same restaurant! The space is airy, bright and so inviting! And the bright décor highlights how clean the place is! I was really amazed! We were seated right away and the staff service were so attentive and nice. The menu has expanded and we were excited to order our old favorites and some new items- sashimi bowls, samplers, sushi rolls and of course fish and chips for the boys! Everything was delicious! I was so impressed! The calamari was light and crisp and my sashimi bowl was delicious. Empty plates all around ... and very happy tummies! My friend and I been wanting to go to this restaurant for awhile so we decided to go here since it's open again. Currently, they redone their parking lot to make space for a tiki themed outdoor dining area. We thought that was so cool! We arrived here at 4:35pm on Saturday and quickly got seated at the tiki area a few minutes after that and ordered our food. We went here for a late lunch/early dinner. I ordered the Lobster Roll with Cajun Fries as my side with a Guava-Rita drink and my friend ordered the Ala Carte Taco which includes the choice of 3 tacos and a side. He chose the Spicy Sriracha, Grilled Fish, and Traditional Baja tacos with a side of Chips and Salsa. We also ordered a Dulce De Leche for dessert. I enjoyed my Lobster Roll, but it was messy to eat. The fries I chose for my side item was also good and I liked how you get the choice of either regular, sweet potato, or cajun fries. My order also came with some type of coleslaw, which was very good! I also liked my Guava-Rita drink, but I had salt added to the rim of my cup which made my drink taste sour at first. Other than that, I actually couldn't taste the alcohol in it so I enjoyed it. I also tried some of my friend's order (we like to split our items in half) and his was nice, but I prefer my order more. From my friend's order, I'd rank my favorite taco to be the Traditional Baja, then Grilled Fish, and least favorite would be the Spicy Sriracha (too spicy for me). The nachos from my friend's order was cool too, but the nachos were very hard. Now time for dessert! We both enjoyed our Dulce De Leche! It wasn't too sweet and the presentation was nice. The icecream tasted homemade and the spring roll was still crispy! I'd recommend this place! The ambiance was very pretty because of the tiki theme and if you go here at night, then it's even more beautiful! Got takeout on a Tuesday afternoon. Got a taco platter with traditional baja, grilled sea bass, and cabo shrimp tacos, thai brussel sprouts, and a nojito. Tacos were good. The grilled sea bass was average, a bit dry. I thought the tartar for the traditional baja was really good. Cabo shrimp was good too. The portions were big, all the filling was falling out. The tortillas couldn't really hold everything, so I ended up using a fork. After the tacos, I was so full. I couldn't even get to the sides that came with it. Brussel sprouts (not pictured) were my favorite. The dried onions provided a good crunch. Whatever it was seasoned with, masked the normal bitterness of brussel sprouts. There was a sweetness that reminded me of roasted seaweed. Nojito (not pictured). Couldn't really taste the mint, so it was just lime, sparkling water, and probably simple syrup. My husband and I made reservations for the room next to the gas fire on the corner of 9th and Lincoln. We had to wait in the bar a half an hour, yet the hostess Isabelle was so sweet and we sipped on our drinks with our complimentary guacamole, which was tasty. We sat at our lovely table and the drinks kept coming and we ordered 2 plates of trout, mine cooked in an Asian style and my husband's in a Hawaiian style with Thai brussel sprouts and with mashed potatoes. The Korean BBQ is my favorite item here! They do a great job with the steak here - perfectly grilled medium rare so it's super tender. Flavor also on point. Thai brussels perfectly crispy! The only thing not hitting the spot is the Kimchi fried rice - my Korean friend said there isn't any strong Korean accents like the usual gochujang and kimchi flavors... I've tried this dish at the Palo Alto location and my friend said the rice was really good so I know this place is missing something in their kimchi fried rice. My Goddaughter took me here, for a surprise late Father's Day meal. As a native SF I remember getting fuel here when this spot was a filling station, not a building.....and I've never eaten at a Pacific Catch. We arrived in the late afternoon right before 3PM, and there was only one waiter on duty. We sat in a booth. Even under these circumstances we were greatly appreciative for the personalized service given..... thanks and a shout out to you, SEAMUS! I choose a chicken teriyaki bowl with extra protein, and my goddaughter chose what Seamus told us is the most popular dish...a salmon bowl...and she requested extra protein..... shrimps. Both meals were outstanding. And so were the drinks. The chicken teriyaki (I know....not seafood) was the BEST I've ever eaten. They have a very nice bar too. I never think about going to that part of town to eat anymore...I live in the Inner Mission in what is now called the "Twentieth Street Corridor"....loaded with well known restaurants/bars...but after today, I certainly intend to make the trek over to the Inner Sunset and return to Pacific Catch...in the future. The thing about Pacific is that you always know the fish is fresh and well sourced. Nice space here though I do prefer the new patio when it's nice out. Seating was prompt , and the courses came in a timely manner with the server being available for another round of drinks when we needed. As for Dinner , it was the 3 Taco Bar option which had some nice choices on the menu both from the Sea & Land though I opted on their fresh spicy Cod, and some tasty Fries. This used to be my favorite place to celebrate growing up. The food was always amazing, and the service was relatively okay. Sometimes it would be on the slower end and have a few mishaps, but the staff was always extremely kind and accommodating. I went more recently after a renovation, and it was absolutely beautiful, but it lost some of the homey charm I remember from before. Unfortunately, I also contracted a horrible food poisoning from a salmon salad and rice bowl and haven't been able to return since. This used to be the usual for me, so I was incredibly surprised, and in the past, I have loved this place, but leading up to the unfortunate experience, I feel as though the service and food have gone down, and the price has gone up. read more

I've heard great things about this place and how vegetarian friendly their menu is so I came to check it out myself! I loved how you can sub the protein in most of their plates to tofu! I got their westcoast style bowl and subbed my protein to tofu and base to 1/2 sushi rice and 1/2 organic mixed greens. We have ordered from West Coast Bowls several times through DoorDash and really liked them. This current order we couldn't believe the quality of the Tataki Salad. That Latino manager and waitress were so insincere to apologize for what they did not provide or deliver upon our request. They even brought up another staff for their excuses to blame for. They need another normal manger to run that place. During my weekend exploration of the city, stumbled upon the Pacific Catch and what a nice surprise it is! First of all the inside of the restaurant is spacious which is something not very common in San Francisco. Bar is good sized, and is well stocked. The food-well it is to die for. Being on a health kick, fish with low carbs is what I was after! The server took order with much care and it was made perfect. I'll start my review by stating that both my sister and I had bad case of FOOD POISONING after eating there. After lunch I went for a walk down 9th Ave and I barely got half way down the street when diarrhea set in. I had to rush back to the restaurant and use the restroom. I stayed there for probably 15-20 mins waiting for stomach to calm down. I had to then rush back home and barely made it home before the 2nd bout with my diarrhea started up again. I emailed my sister about what happened to me and that's when she told me she's started getting sick as well. So here's what we had for lunch there. We both had the Salmon Chowder for starters. Next she ordered the Striped Sea Bass Fresh Catch and I ordered the Kanpachi Yellowtail Fresh Catch. We then shared small piece of fish for taste comparison. Fish was just ok. But I did get a lot of Brussels sprouts with my lunch. My sister and I love eating fish and have so for over 40+ years. In all my life I've only gotten sick a few times from eating fish and usually because the fish is contaminated. The "Fresh Catch" on the menu is misleading as the fish was not fresh. My sister had always wanted to try Pacific Catch because she always passed by it on the bus. So on Wednesday August 30th, 2024 at 1:00 pm we agreed to eat there.
