Very very good! I got standard size boxes as a result of an Amazon deal. Was quite a lot for the two of us but we were able to use everything. I love the variety of greens and mix of fruits. The first box, I got was a WA box and was full of root vegetables and 4 types of apples though. I let them know and they recommended another type of box just due to seasonality of WA produce. No problem ever since. Their communication is very good and I appreciate talking to a human who cares rather than monotonous customer service agents. Highly recommended! read more

We've been getting produce delivery from this company for just over 2 years. We started getting the service when we lived in an apartment building as a substitute for our own garden but now that we live in a house with a yard we kept it anyway because we love it. I love that they source locally whenever possible, and I really love the reusable wooden crates---we used to get a similar delivery service when we lived in Portland and all the cardboard seemed so wasteful even if it did eventually get recycled. The staff is great to work with, and the boxes are customizable so when we didn't use up something in a week we could substitute and avoid having too much of one thing. It's like having the farmer's market come to you. Can't recommend it enough. read more

I love everything about Pacific Coast Harvest and the fresh produce they deliver, even though they are not completely perfect all the time. I give them 4 stars (instead of 5) because my husband does not share my devotion, and because I have to admit to some flaws. Also, we just cancelled our delivery after several months- it was a stretch for our budget to begin with, and now we have a temporary loss of income plus added expenses, so something had to give. This was it. And as part of the grieving process I am writing this Yelp review :). I love the customer service and the fact that you can see what will be in the box ahead of time and request substitutions. I think they try their best to be predictable and make everyone happy. Sometimes there were things listed that did not appear in our box- sometimes with an explanation and sometimes without. But the system worked well and we got what we expected about 90% of the time. If the produce were subpar I would be more peeved about the occasional glitches. But the produce really is delicious. I love the apples, kale, oranges, beets, lettuce, and carrots- it all tastes better than anything I've purchased in a grocery store. I guess I could get similar quality from a farmers' market, but I have yet to figure out how to shop a farmer's market alone with my 2 little kids- we can go and have fun, but it's not a productive shopping trip. Anyway I digress. I ate a lot more salad and greens than usual in the last few months, and I'm hoping to continue that habit even though I can now only afford to buy the crap at Safeway. Another thing- one of the reviewers mentioned that the delivery is quiet. It really is! Our porch is right outside our bedroom. I am a light sleeper and I usually hear when someone comes home late at night. But I never hear the delivery. These guys are like veggie ninjas. Someday, when we have more wiggle room in our budget, we will order from PCH again. They have good food in nice packaging and very nice service. read more

I looked in to a few other CSAs, but decided on PCH from another friend's raves. I love that the produce comes weekly in a reusable no-frills cedar box. I have missed dropping my empty box outside before the week's new box comes, but the team has no problem with that. Only once, last October or November I believe, did I wake up and discover that my box was stolen from out front (I live in a secure building). They immediately scheduled a new delivery for me the next night and I haven't had any problems since. I have no problems using my single 1/2 and 1/2 box each week, but I also do make an effort to bring my lunch to work every day. I definitely recommend to others, which is easier as they've been expanding the delivery areas recently. read more

I've been ordering the $32 veggie box from PCH for several months now and I love them! Everything is fresh and in perfect condition.Each week there's 10 to 12 different veggies delivered. There are items that we eat raw and many that we grill or steam. I love the sturdy wooden crate that they deliver the veggies in and they even give you a recipe each week! PCH's website is really easy to use and they do a good job of reminding customers to customize their order before they're sent out. I have participated in several CSA programs and produce delivery services because supporting local family farms is so important. Pacific Coast Harvest is hands down my favorite so far. This is some of the highest quality and freshest produce I have ever received. I had the option of choosing from very very local (50 miles), very local (200 miles) and local (Pacific Northwest). I love the insulated reusable tote and the fact that when necessary, they only use biodegradable bags. Way to go! My order came with a content list that included a quick bio of the local farms I am supporting. I really love that! Oh, and customer service is just top notch! Thank you guys! I can't say enough good things about PCH. I had spud several years ago and while I loved having fresh produce delivered to my door - I eventually cancelled due to lack of variety. So...it was somewhat with heavy heart that I signed myself back up a few years later to get back to healthier eating...and I figured every delivery company was in the rut, especially in a Seattle winter. I checked out Yelp to see if anyone new was on the scene...and read the great reviews for PCH. But still, my hopes weren't high. Especially as we headed into fall. Not so with PCH. I don't know how they do it. Just beautiful. And thoughtfully arranged, and varieties a foodie will love. Golden beets....purple carrots...a new variety of Kabocha squash. They included strawberries about 3 weeks ago (it's November). They change it up. And the recipes that come with ROCK (hey guys - can you post these to your website?). Anyway...I take pictures of my delivery every week....they're that beautiful. And last night, out to dinner with friends, I'm passing around my photos and going on about how they've exceeded my expectations. I figured I needed to post a review, proper. :) read more

As an update to my last review, the company personally called me a few days after I left my review and put a credit for a full delivery on my account. I'd definitely say they went above and beyond to make this right. I also have not experienced any bugs in my produce since the aforementioned incident. I must say that since I left my original review I have been much happier with Pacific Coast Harvest than I am with New Roots Organics. Happier with the produce and the company. I have attempted to contact New Roots multiple times and have never received a response, whereas Pacific Coast Harvest is very responsive via e-mail. I have canceled my New Roots subscription and am keeping my Pacific Coast Harvest subscription because the produce is tastier and local. Thanks PCH! read more

The website advertises a $25 box but there is no such option available when signing up. I wrote to the company asking about this but never got a response. I decided to try their service anyways and ordered the 1/2 &1/2 Regular for $34. I was pretty excited about the selection as the order had pea shoots and dandelion greens. That ended as soon as the box arrived. When I pulled back the burlap I found the rhubarb was missing, The kale had started to wilt, and, the worst part of all, the leeks had all started to seed. They were just a large indelible woody stalk. I could have gotten better produce for less cost at the Whole Foods down the street. Bad produce, no customer service, and false advertising. read more

It's been a few months since I've been getting produce with PCH and I think I'll continue to stick with them. The produce have been consistently good and I love that I am able to customize my order to not receive the things I do not want (i.e. swiss chard, yuck). LOVE Pacific Coast Harvest. The produce is beautiful, delicious, and comes straight from the farm in a hand-built wooden crate. I'm often delighted by something tucked in the corner of the crate -- a persimmon, a pomegranate, kiwi berries, or fresh herbs. You have options (coffee or pastured eggs; easy substitutions) but not so many options that you have to spend time thinking about your order each week. The customer service is top notch. Got an amazon local deal which promised local produce and was excited to get some yummy veges with low food miles. It turned out that the deal did not include the "washington box" and that I would have to pay extra for that. Instead I got a bunch of things from CA, and MX. Some things were more local... I went on their website to remove my details (it seemed that to get the amazon local deal you have to sign up permanently). At the time i signed up I regretted my decision once i noticed that most produce wasn't local- but couldn't find a way to remove my details. Not being one to call- i thought I would try again- since I don't want more deliveries. I discovered their website doesn't work! Unfortunately this just isn't what I was expecting. read more

I will never go back to buying veggies in the store. This was the first time I experienced a produce delivery service. I figured I would try the Living Social deal and see how it went. I loved it so much that I have been getting it ever since. I love being surprised each week with new veggies. The Washington Box is especially fun and it forces me to be a bit creative sometimes with my cooking (didn't know what to do with a celery root before). The product has always been really fresh, save for one week in November - I wasn't impressed and cancelled the service because I figured the winter stuff must just not be as good. But I missed it so much I signed up again and tried the Half and Half box and have been happy ever since. I know its fresh too because one day I found a caterpillar in my lettuce munching away! haha If you each a ton of fruits and veggies you will go through the individual box fairly fast, but I definitely have to make an effort to finish everything in the Standard box by myself in a week. Someone it feels more wrong to waste these veggies than ones you pick up in a store... read more

I have tried other produce delivery services in Seattle and this is the best so far. PCH is not stingy with their produce and I get full boxes even during the winter season, unlike other comparable produce delivery services. They also have good quality produce that does not go bad easily, unlike other produce delivery services. I think the key is that they deliver at night so your veggies/fruits are not sitting out all day in the heat (which is especially important during the summer season). My whole experience with them has been smooth and great. Their online system lets you make substitutions the weekend before your delivery, which is very accommodating of them. They also have a variety of boxes and sizes to choose from. I highly recommend PCH and hope that they are able to maintain such a good delivery service. read more

There are always good recipes included in the box, and if you ever need to skip a week or change something in the box (contents are posted online before delivery) they are really flexible. We've enjoyed PCH, but not enough to justify the cost. Our deliveries have always been on time and I love the option to customize the box, but the quality of the produce just isn't good enough. When I buy fresh produce from a farmers market I'm always amazed at how long it lasts. With at least half the items in our PCH box it's either looking sad or actually going bad within just a few days. The selection and service is great, but the quality is only fair. read more

Fresh produce is nice, but for the price there are better options out there. I can take my $40 to the farmer's market on Sunday and get more than twice what I get from PCH. The convenience of having it delivered is more to the point though. I feel like for the money, other delivery services give you a lot more produce. Pacific Coast Harvest has been absolutely wonderful! I love the variety of produce and extras that they offer. I have been a customer for almost two years and have had to contact their customer service for a couple minor glitches, once my box was misplaced, another time I was overcharged, the promptness and professionalism was stellar! I tried this company after getting a deal from Living Social or one of those other companies like that. I don't know if it's because it was on a "coupon" but my order came in an "office depot" box, unmarked, dropped at the wrong address (probably my fault in not scrolling down their entire enrollment form) and with a substitution that was not at all to my liking. I was expecting (and looking forward to) apples, but got bosc pears instead. What am I going to do with 6 bosc pears? I would at least eat the apples. Plus the bananas were all banged up, the bok choy not fresh at all, and all the other items (loose kale leaves, loose green beans, an onion, etc.) all just thrown in the top of the pile and all mixed together. I got the impression that this was just a group of guys who started a website, shopped at Whole Foods or another purveyor of organic food, and threw everything into a bankers box with a 100% markup. I could be wrong, but it's the impression I'm left with. read more
