I have to say I was a little disappointed today. I've done takeout here a number of times and it has always been fresh and tasty. The large bowl is my go-to with a mix of tuna, krab, avocado etc on a bed of sushi rice. It's great to be able to order online, customize and just run in and pick it up. Today the tuna/krab portions were....meager. Oh the rice was plentiful. The avocado was great. The rest of the toppings were all good, but.... I guess with costs the way they are it's tough all around, but my bill for a bowl with tax and tip (no drink) was over $18. And it just wasn't up to their usual standards. We've had an amazing experience every time we go to Pacific Counter. We started going there for their Bubble tea, which my kids love, now we have expanded on to meals. So far the Ring of fire is our favorite. The tuna and the shrimp are so fresh and delicious. In full disclosure, we haven't tried anything but the Ring of fire, because it's that good! read more

The poke bowls are okay...there are better places that serve poke bowls. The hotdogs are Kosher tho!!! They are really good but the buns are served cold so it kinda makes the whole hot dog cold. If you want just ask them to warm up the buns too. The boba tea is good especially on a hot day :) Definitely will be going again read more

Pacific Counter is awesome! I love the feel and look of the place when you walk up to the door. It is very welcoming. The staff is all very nice. The menu is easy to read and there are to go menus if you want to use. I love the size of the bowls. Good amount of food is given. Everything taste fresh and the sushi rice is one of my favorites. This place never disappoints. I always frequent the St Pete location but was in the area of the Lakewood Ranch one. Decided to stop by and see if they were able to keep up the same consistency and they did. Same type of friendly staff and food was amazing. The bowls are always full and never slack on the amount they give you. Tried the new BBQ chicken and it was full of flavor. This was the first poke spot I've tried since moving from the PNW and let me tell you, it's a big let down. I'm sure there are good places for poke in Bradenton, but this isn't one of them. Let me tell you, save yourself and money if there is a hint of you that thinks this place is or may be worth it or good then you haven't had the opportunity for good poke. The spam musubi here for one, is 94% rice 4% and like 2% split with nori and vinegar or whatever it is. Don't get me wrong, this may or may not be a correct ratio. Perhaps there is no official ratio but they overload theirs with too much rice. No I'm not talking about spam needing to be similar thickness but when the thickness of the rice is as long as my pinky finger or even index finger and you have a thin slice of spam, it's simply not worth it. I tasted more rice than I did spam. In terms of cost, to make sure I'm with the current times we are in, I asked my friends back home and even checked online what total cost is to order a bowl with a plethora of add-on options such as edamame, furikake etc etc and only is it at Pacific Counter do they charge you for every little thing. Oh you want extra sprinkles of Furikake? No problem, that will be an extra 50 cents or a dollar or whatever they wanted to charge. Oh you want some Crab salad? That will be extra. You want extra garlic? That's another 50 cents to the dollar. I completely understand if the person wants a little EXTRA on top of what they give you but to charge for to put it on your plate? That's madness. A similar bowl with all the extra goodies in it came out over what i would normally end up paying back home. Just for good measure, I ordered one for a family member back home with all the extra things inside their bowl and it still came out cheaper than what I paid for here at Pacific Counter. I ate about half of my bowl and tossed the rest. Suffice to say, I definitely will not be coming back to this establishment. I wouldn't consider myself a poke connoisseur by any means but I at least know this place isn't worth it and maybe we were spoiled back home in the PNW so our expectations are higher. Who knows. What I do know is, if you work hard for your money, or you want good poke. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Stopped in today cause I was craving boba and sushi. Had the nicest young man take care of me - Nick was friendly and upbeat just like the vibe of the place. He was quick to be of service and made me feel like a friend rather than a customer . Food and boba were great also . Stopped in here on accident (meant to go one more door up) and this was the happiest accident ever!! Staff were cheerful and helpful. Food was amazing! I got the OG bowl and added shrimp! The perfect amount of food and my taste buds were tingling!! My husband got one his hot dogs and I'm not sure he even stopped for air; legit may have been gone in 2 bites. When my daughter got the idea in her head that she wanted to try boba tea, I asked around for the best place to try it out. This place came highly recommended, and I can see why. The first that comes to mind first is fresh!! And the staff is so welcoming. We've since been back four times and tried a huge variety of teas, all which have been wonderful. Ordered a takeout order (Friday)and paid online. When I showed up at the store during my lunch hour, there was a sign on the door saying closed for the next 3 days with no additional information. So I left with no lunch and a charge of $35 to my account. Called me on Monday morning to ask if I still wanted the order- no thanks I wanted it three days ago and requested a refund. No apology for my inconvenience. Fast forward 6 days still no refund. Placed another order and Went in to pick up where I inquired about the pending refund. The owner Eric Bialik told me to call my bank with again no apology. He went on to tell me how inconvenient it was they had to close for an outbreak. I get it times are tough in retail but not my problem. I guess he was expecting me to apologize for ordering when they were closed even though there was no indication of this on their website. I told him we order often from them and he said well then I shouldn't be upset with one time being disappointed. That was not the response I would expect having plenty of experience in customer service myself. He obviously doesn't deal well with conflict which is a problem for a retail owner. I too work in customer service and know it's not easy but all he kept saying was there was nothing he could do. First off just apologizing might be a good start then attempting to make it right would be second. I think he needs to seek some additional training if he wants to keep this business up and running. The manner in which Eric handled this situation turns me off from supporting this business in the future. read more

Fish was fresh! Which is very important with seafood. Loved it! Delicious flavors and SO MANY options. Definitely has something for everyone! Even the non-seafood lover. Loved the food and the staff was very friendly the first time I went in. But, the second time I went in to get bubble tea only and the staff ignored me. I'm normally not the kind of person to leave a review complaining, but it was very unprofessional that they decided to ignore me and when they did finally take care of me they never apologized. I waited for over 10 minutes and even the manager ignored me standing and waiting there. I want to go back, but I don't think it's worth it after such a bad experience. read more

I hardly ever review but I needed to share my experience so hopefully something was done about it. I went in looking simply for their dole whip. I have had it before and had a great experience. Tonight was quite the opposite. I walked in and was the first person in line to order. I let the man working behind the counter know that I only wanted a cup of dole whip and he informed me that they could take care of me down at the counter. He then proceeded to take the next person in lines order. I don't have an issue with that, she was ordering food and I wasn't. My issue is with the other FOUR members of staff behind the counter that were just sitting there. None of them said a word to me and completely ignored me. About 10 minutes of me standing there a couple of teenage girls walked in and the man I initially spoke to yelled someone's name and this girl came out saying "hey!" prompting at the girls. I assumed they were friends considering she knew their names and order. Ignoring me, she let them cut me in line and took their order. After that I just left. What's the point of paying $7.00 for a cup of dole whip with service like that. I work in a restaurant and I know that it can be difficult to manage everything at once, but making someone wait over 15 minutes for a cup of dole whip that would take no longer than 1 minute for the entire transaction is unacceptable. And on top of that letting employees personal friends skip the line would never fly where I work. I can not imagine the lack of management that must occur for this to go on. read more
