We ordered the mixed cup ceviche which was super good and extremely fresh. It came with two fried corn tortillas that you could break into chips and put the ceviche on top. We ordered 4 tacos: grilled octopus, battered shrimp, skirt steak, and grilled fish. Our favorite by far was the octopus. It was so tender and seasoned perfectly. Battered shrimp was also wonderful. Least favorites were probably the grilled fish and the steak. The fish taco didn't have a veggies on it, just avocado so it felt like it was missing something. The steak taco was slightly under seasoned. Overall Oscar's was a hit and I'd gladly come back

The freshest, juiciest, crunchiest, most delicious and perfectly balanced tacos you can possibly get. One bite will make you close your eyes and shake your head in disbelief and how something this good exists. I've been here many times and the last time they offered me a small free cup of some fish soup which was great and comforting. Parking is really bad here on weekends so... maybe park across the street near wholefoods. Food: 10/10 Service: 8/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Value: 9/10

With all the choices in Pacific Beach, are you sure? Yes. I'm sure. With both indoor and outdoor seating and a staff that lives to accommodate, this is one of the top 5 on my list. We start with Ceasar Salad, bread and wine. Each is to its' perfection. The Salad is perfectly presented, perfectly dressed. The bread has what looks like butter dripping out, but is actually cheese. And the Wine is from Orvieto Italy. Robyn has been there and makes this great suggestion for the wine. What's next chef? We eat small portions of the Orecchiette  Bosco and Capellini Pomodoro with Shrimp. We save the rest for lunch the next day (and next day it's even better)! We are saving ourselves for dessert, Robyn's favorite part of the meal. We order Pistachio Cheesecake (not with cream cheese but ricotta), Tiramisu and Pope's Pillow (probably because after you taste it you think you died and went to heaven)! lol All three are nothing but perfection. It's great for date night later in the evening, girls night, family night if you go early. And there aren't too many other places I'm thinking about going back to and taking San Diego Foodies and Carlsbad Foodies to! This my friend is IT. Let's go! But the food was excellent so we came back on a Friday. They had an extra server so service was normal paced. Busy place, so I would make reservations ahead (seemed to be available same day though) Highly recommend the risotto if you're here with a group. We had the seafood one and it was phenomenal. My toddler also loved the spaghetti alle vongole and the mushroom pasta. I don't recommend the wild boar pasta and the pizza was just okay.

This is the kind of place that I would hang out with friends to chit chat while waiting for the food. Met both husband and wife that run this place. Super charming and appreciative of our visit. We had just the simple 1. pep pizza, delicious with homemade sauce 2. the wild boar bolognese, hits the spot, a little salty from the real Parmesan Reggiano 3. Burrata, with real mozzarella is the piece de la resistance 4. Insalata Oltre mare tasted great with a well balanced of sweetness from the cherry tomatoes and the bitterness of the arugula. 5 &6 the homemade tiramisu and the panna cotta crowned the feast. Next time we do secondi fish. Like others mentioned, bring your own wine. We chose not to on this occasion, but locals sure took advantage of it. There will be a next time and the time after that. This is a great mom and pop ristorante in the PB area. Nom Nom well

Street parking only, many small paid lots and they valet for first two hours free since it's linked to the hotel Tower23. I had a work party of 20 during lunch that rolled over to happy hour past 3pm! It's basically tourist price in exchange for the local view. Food can be a hit or miss. They serve mainly seafood. Although you'll find short rib sliders or chicken sandwich. -Crispy calamari - delicious batter but weird that they threw in broccoli and peppers when it could have been all calamari -Steamed mussels - this was the best. Had two sourdough slices and the tomato purée had tons of flavor -Ceviche - the chips were stale -Ahi nachos - needed more sauce and filling. Not enough poke to chip ratio. I got mainly a blank chip. -Short rib sliders - many people ordered this and said it was very dry -Roulette roll - most popular roll. I fairly enjoyed the crunch in each bite. Got a Raspberry mojito. It was strong and refreshing but gave me a fat headache later. Must be the rum. We were limited to 8 credit cards but since it was down time, our server was willing to go around to allow us to pay our individual tabs. Thanks, Jaz!

I always have such high hopes, but tonight proved again why it's only mediocre and overpriced. I got the short ribs. There was no flavor to it. The meat was cooked amazing but there was just not enough flavor like a little bit more flavor to the sauce and a little bit more sauce , even the carrots were raw I couldn't even get a knife through them. To Russell sprouts one came and again, just not enough to them. They fell flat. The second order came an hour after we had finished our meal then the check was received. With said, returned product on our check. Our server never check back in on us. We had to ask other servers to assist us and bring us additional items lackluster
