My friends and I tried this place last night, as we were in the area for the weekend. Food portions were very generous and tasty. The reason for the average score is for some reason they were providing customers with an outdated fall drink menu. They weren't just out of some drink items, some items, they stopped making entirely. Cross items off the menu, make a new menu, update your menu, something. Also for a bar that advertises a large whiskey/bourbon selection, how are you out of bitters on a Sat night, off a Holiday weekend. Our waitress apologized several times after each item we tried ordering they couldn't provide us. However, points could've have been earned, as she introduced herself and had told us before we looked at the menu that(I'm sorry our menu is outdated, we don't serve most of these fall drinks now) Once we finally did order our drinks and food, our waitress provided good service. Unfortunately though after this experience, if we ever end up back in the area, we will most likely select another place to eat. read more

I went here this past Saturday in hopes to get dinner & drinks. I walked in the wait staff were wearing their masks on their chin. I didn't realize it was just her. Not sure how to rate this place.... Went last night and had the BEST time! Kris and the team there were friendly, gave the best service I've had in a long time and the food was spot on!! We loved it so much we brought our son in for brunch today. It was horrible! Holly was our server. She was more interested in chatting with coworkers than serving us. Wow it was open and it was St. Paddy's Day 2020 during a really big National Panic of the Corona Virus and Wild & Wonderful West Va. was still open for business but at midnight every thing was shutting down! But we will all get thru this and when things are back to normal every one needs to take a trip to West Va. and stop by this FUN FUN Place! That day they had 5 bands and every single one was better then the next! Music was the best every one was dancing singing and having the time of there life cause everyone knew it's was last day for a real social gathering! This place has the best prices and food was so delicious! We ate a lot cause we stayed there for 7 hours drinking and eating! The staff there were so nice & so efficient for being so busy! But this place is huge it's a historic landmark in Charlestown West Va! Did I say Wild & Wonderful!! Lol it was clean and decorated for the occasion and I can't wait to go back! There's so much on that menu I want to try! They had 3 bars! And we were sitting in middle bar where the bands played they had corn hole under tents! Had dart boards they had everything you needed for a great day of good ole fun! So after we all survive this crazy virus you need to take a trip there and have a nice cold bottle Corona and cheer with friends and pray that that's the Corona you ever want!! Nice cold one!! My parents and I ate here for the first time tonight and we ultimately didn't care for it. We were seated upstairs for dinner service (which wasn't ideal for my moms bad knee) and after awhile we began to feel bad for our waitress that was constantly having to go up and down the stairs to not only bring our food but bus the tables and also serve the downstairs customers and refill her own station (she had trouble finding straws). None of the upstairs tables were fully cleaned the entire time during our experience as we were the last customers to leave from upstairs. The bulb above our table was burnt out, luckily there was a nearby lamp that we turned on so we could read our menus. The room had two unlit fireplaces and was cold and drafty, I hate having to eat with my jacket on. The plates also seemed too big for the dishes. My moms Jamison Chicken was tough, over cooked and burnt. Her baked potato wasn't even served with butter, etc so we had to ask for the common sense condiments... butter was even frozen and came in packets. She felt her "full size chicken breast" was on the small size and that her veggie mix had probably came from a freezer bag. My dads Shepherds Pie was soggy and my parents didn't like it. My dad did like his french onion soup although it took some time for it to be made and it was small in portion. I had the fish and chips, the fish was good but a bit salty, my fries looked like they were fried in old/dirty grease. Overall, this place may be better for some drinks at the bar but I doubt I'll be back for the food. read more

I have been here a couple of times and I havel never been disappointed with their food or service. Ihad their fish fry basket (Tuesday special) and it was very good. Great tasting beer batter on the fish, French fries were delicious and actually tasted likel they were made from fresh potatoes and they were not frozen fries dumpted into hot grease. I even liked the cole slaw and I didn't have to add sugar to my cole slaw. We had excellent friendly service. My wife had the boiled shrimp and she said they were delicious. It's just very average. I tried the shrimp and grits, one of my favorite dishes and was just very basic. It was literally just a few shrimps on top of some grits for $23.00. Honestly, I make it much better at home so in order to pay that amount for a dish it needs to be something special. We also had chicken quesadillas and again, just very average. When you're in Charles Town and want to enjoy a meal, beverage, casual environment and maybe even some live entertainment...this is the place to go. The food is good here, as is my favorite bartender, Summer! The crowd on a Friday night is very different from that on a Saturday...so I prefer the Saturday nights here when it's a little less crowded. I can't think of a beverage that you couldn't find offered here and the staff is always pleasant. The menu items I suggest...whatever the 'special' is for the evening paired with their chocolate lava cake for dessert! =) I'm also a fan of their fish & chips meal...but it is quite a bit of food. read more

Sometimes I go and I get exactly what I ordered, how I wanted it, and piping hot. Other times the order is messed up and not even luke warm, like it got forgotten in the kitchen and wasn't even under a heat lamp. Stopped in during our trip to Harper's Ferry. Immediately were seated and our waitress, Jessica, came to the table. Ordered a Bay Breeze and a Smithwick's draft beer. For dinner we ordered a reuben and a grilled chicken salad with a side of cheesy grits. Food came out quickly and was delicious... especially the grits. Waitress was extremely pleasant. I'll give two stars because the service and drinks are good but I'll never go back to eat dinner. I've been coming here for 7 years and the food has gotten less than desirable during that time. Our meal on friday night was just disgusting and ill back up my review with exactly what made it disgusting and include a picture. I ordered beef kabobs my sister had the same and our friend had cream of crab soup and stuffed shrimp. Our friend didn't like her cream of crab so I tried it and it had an overwhelming flavor or celery. I can only assume that one of the ingredients is celery salt or celery seed and someone either mistakenly measured ingredients while making it or the cooks tastes buds are off. She said her stuffed shrimp was fine. Both orders of beef kabobs were not edible. The flavor of the beef had an off flavor and I am convinced they were either reheated or finished off in the microwave. You know when you reheat beef in the microwave and it gets that distinct flavor and the edges curl up? That's what our beef looked and tasted like. I did not order my meal well done, but my sister did, but even still you don't put beef in the microwave at a restaurant. Both meals regardless tastes exactly the same. The veggies on it were barely cooked. The rice was great. Customers can tell when you take short cuts. They never work out in the long run. read more

Finally, a good restaurant in this area!! (Believe me, they're incredibly hard to find.) I ordered the seared tuna with side salad and cheesy bacon grits. The tuna was perfectly cooked & well-seasoned and the grits were creamy and just the right consistency. Side salad was crisp and fresh, with a high-quality chunky blue cheese dressing that obviously didn't come out of a single-serve packet. This was a takeout order so I can't speak for restaurant service, but as far as quality food goes this is far superior to every other local place I've tried. read more

Ate at Paddy's on an overnight trip to the casino. Started with Paddy'S Irish Nachos. These were really good. We at the whole plate full even though we had planned to save some for later. After that my wife and I both had the Fish and Chips. The breading was nice and crispy. The fish was flaky and nice and fresh. The fries were cooked just right. Nothing special about them. Just a good basic fry but they had malt vinegar on the table so that was why I ordered them. I wish I remembered our servers name. I think is was Nisha but can't be sure. She was extremely polite and friendly. Shes the kind of server that makes you want to ask to sit in her section. It definitely has a pub environment. Lots of TV's and a couple of dart boards in the area I was in. I wish I had a place like this were I live. Would definitely go back when in the area. read more

In WV for work and my coworker was looking for an Irish pub. They have parking in the street but not much. Luckily it was still daylight and it's Charles Town, so not much traffic to begin with. They have a bar that seats probably 12 people, and what you see in the profile picture is what they have on tap. We just had 2 beers each and no food, so can't give any more detail about this location. The tables for dinner were filling up when we were leaving, so I'm guessing the food might be good by the people coming in. read more
