I visited here after walking around the arboretum and had a couple slices of pizza. Friendly staff and the pizza was good. After leaving I realized I had left my Oura ring in the restroom. They hire from all walks of the spectrum--including high school students--and I am greatly impressed with their evidently amazing customer service training program. All employees I've interacted with are friendly, fast and wholly accomodating. Unfortunately, fond memories of this ardent professionalism barely work to mitigate the plague that inevitably ravishes my body after consuming their product. Pagliacci's Hot Honey pizza (A.K.A. Satan's Slice) has twice now left me in a food poisoned, near-vegetative state. Aggregate weeks of my life have been spent recovering from the damage this parlor has done to my body. If you happen to be a sick, depraved masochist who enjoys having their anal sphincter ripped apart with juices you would expect to see from an e-coli ridden swine, I emphatically encourage you to spend a pleasurable evening in this very restaurant. But to everyone else- unless you have developed a mithradatismic immunity to over-praised, low-quality, poisoned pizza slices- I would recommend finding a different place to spend your money. This review is not just for the Madison Park location, although the arrival of this particular store was a welcome event. WARNING: The distinct crispiness of the Pagliacci pizza crust can be addictive. Exercise caution. You should plan to order from Pagliacci at least once a month so you can keep up with the yummy seasonal specials and gelato flavors that change each month. Examples: Walla Walla Sweet Onion, Peaches and Pork topped with a drizzle of balsamic and arugula, Salumi Sausage and, for the gelato, Birthday Cake or Sweet Cream. And so many more flavors and dishes on their menu (calzone, lasagna, breadsticks, salads). I also have to have the Pagliacci Salad with their tangy dressing on the side. Pagliacci's delivery staff is almost always very friendly, both on the phone and in person. Yes, it's pricey, but the quality is consistently good and, if you control yourself, there will be plenty of leftovers. Final note: I love what Pagliacci does to support local businesses. And not just in sourcing their ingredients. Last summer, they included a free cupcake from Cupcake Royale with each order to promote the business and to raise awareness for LGBTQ rights. We order from this location a LOT and stop in for pizza from time to time. Sometimes we have a 5 star experience, other times- not so much. My husband and I are both gluten free and the friend we most often order pizza with prefers the gluten free crust as well, in spite of not being GF. Historically, their GF crust is darn good- a nice balance of chewy, crispy and flavorful without any weird aftertaste. Today we ordered some gluten free pizzas and upon receiving our delivery it was obvious the crust was different. Figuring it might be someone new tossing the dough, we tried the pizza and were pretty disappointed. The crust was super thick and very bready, like a focaccia loaf you would find in a hospital cafeteria. Salty and dense, the bread overwhelmed the toppings. My husband took one bite and called Pagliacci's back to ask about it. The dispatcher told him their distributor sold out so they were using a different crust. I totally get how that can happen, but at this price point I do wish we had been warned so we wouldn't be disappointed after dropping so much money on an unpalatable pizza. I also ordered 5 pizzas a week or so ago while preparing bouquets for my sisters wedding- Roman Holiday cause its one of my fave pies and we all love mushrooms. Unfortunately for us- THEY LEFT THE MUSHROOMS OFF ALL OUR PIZZA!!! This is sadly not the first time this has happened. Overall I like Pagliacci! Being in town with a group of 13 we decided we needed to just hang out after a couple of days of pre wedding activities so it was pizza night. We ordered three large pizzas a Caesar salad their Signature salad and some cheesy bread thing. We enjoyed it all and had no left overs. The crust was extra special and the cheesy bread offered a different take on cheese bread that I really enjoyed. Solid regular pizza I would have given them 3.5 stars. The sauce has flavor with a touch of spice so appreciate it wasn't bland. I also thought the crust was good, not tough with some flavor. Husband wasn't happy when he ordered sausage and it came thin sliced like pepperoni. Sausage on a pizza should be in chunks. The Canadian bacon had a thicker rind then I like but I can get past that. One question for all pizza places.... are mushrooms expensive? Why are they so skimpy with mushrooms? This is at all pizza places it seems. They also lose a star for no parking. It looks like parking but you get there and you can't park even for a quick 10-15 minutes to get in and out with the pizza. This is nothing close to New York pizza but the pizzas are really good! The toppings all look fresh and they are always pleasing to the eye and smell great! If you want a good west coast pizza then this is place to get something decent! The staff is friendly but it's hit or miss with that. At least the product always seems to be consistent. The Pesto Primo is one my family likes and it is pretty good.... They do not have Gluten Free so it's not friendly to other peoples needs. I had a salad that was decent and I have to say it was HUGE! Pagliaccis is a Seattle staple and has been the proudly perfecting pizza pies long before Al Gore invented the interweb. In my humble grumble opinion they make some of the best pizza on God's green earth. Definitely top 5 pizza west of Chicago. Double pepperoni is awesome. Brooklyn bridge also a favorite. Few on-site parking spots but plenty of nearby, free street parking. My colleagues and I were the first opening-day customers and loved our hot slices of Brooklyn Bridge (sausage, mushrooms, olives+), Pesto Primo (ricotta, fontina, fresh garlic+), Hawaiian, pepperoni, and plain. Fresh salads, pasta, and gelato also available. The Coke "freestyle" soda machine is cool: I mixed Coke Raspberry and Coke Lime. Beer and wine also available. Apple juice, mineral water, Thomas Kemper root beer, too. Large television high in the corner, not distracting. And a kids play area readily stocked with toys. read more

We went to get a few pizzas to bring to a friends house after an auction all day. I've always love Pagliacci pizza but this is the first time I visited the Madison location. We pre-ordered the pizzas and went to go pick them up. They weren't quite done so we waited in the lobby for them to be finished. Everybody was super nice and friendly. The inside of the location was clean, bright, cherry, and very well decorated. When the pizzas were finally finished we could tell they we're just pulled from the oven because I think they might've still been bubbling. Lol. The service was extremely friendly helpful and fast. Definitely a location I would love to come back to. And the pizzas were off the hook, hot, fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this location. read more

An old standby. The pizza is reliable and it is nice they are finally down here in Madison park. The special salad is great but get it with the dressing on the side as they really dowse if otherwise. While we've tried many varieties we are usually back to the tried and true cheese pizza or pepperoni. The main thing is to get the pizza as hot as possible so it is best if u get a whole pie so it is fresh rather than a reheated slice. Normally we order it for take away and zoom there to get it fresh but getting it and eating there is the best way. read more

Seattle transplant, here. I've passed by multiple locations throughout the city so after an evening walk through the arboretum, I decided to finally try it and stop here for dinner. Casual and clean pizza place that sells both whole pies and slices. Tried the spicy chicken, margherita and pepperoni slice. All were crisped up in the oven prior to being served and were good for the price ~ $3 something/slice. Quick and friendly service, outdoor seating and 2 local beers on tap round this place up to 4 stars. Just an FYI, the pesto pasta salad is actually JUST a pasta salad.... Pesto is plenty but if you don't read the description carefully or are plain ol' just newb like me, you might make the mistake of thinking there are some leafy greens in this when there isn't..... Came in for a bite to eat and the place was fairly empty, as far as patronage. There were far more employees than customers. Yet, only one person was tossing dough for crust and one person was making the pizzas. One kid was running the cash register and another was running the quick bite station. For the price we paid for a pizza I expected tables to be cleaned by the employees standing around. The red sauce tasted like it was straight out of a tomato paste can. It took 20 min for us to get our pizza when there weren't people waiting ahead of us. Also, they had no silverware out. The girl dancing in the corner could have bussing tables and ensuring the silverware/condiment station was stocked and dirty dishes should have been removed. We will not be returning. read more

I really like pagliacci but I came here earlier today and got a slice of pizza to go once I got to my car to eat it was cold as shii they didn't warm it up like why would I want a cold slice of pizza? I feel like that was very lazy it doesn't take more than 30 seconds to warm up a slice of pizza. I have never had this problem at any other location so glad to know I can't come here or to remind myself to tell them to warm up my pizza which should be standard anyways. They're lucky I didn't feel like coming back in I literally had already started driving when I realized but that was very inconsiderate of them there wasn't any other customers in line so it's like they were in a rush or anything. I stop in this location from time to time. It's very nice inside - from the furniture to the kitchen area. The parking lot is rather small and in kind of an awkward area. I recommend parking on the street if there's anything available since getting out of the lot can be a challenge in even moderately heavy traffic. The staff members are on the younger side but all very polite, efficient, and friendly. Located across the street from a park, this is a great place to grab a bite to have a picnic on a summer day. In terms of slices, every time I've been in, they've had a pretty good selection (not all locations are like that). The goat cheese is one of my favorites! I've never had delivery here so I can't really say whether they're good or not. read more

Well sometimes you get drunk and order $69 worth of pizza. I recently had one of those nights, and Pagliacci was happy to oblige. Ordered a small chicken pizza, a large fresh veggie and some other large veggie pizza (goat cheese primo?). Pizzas were pretty good and substantial. There were 8 of us and nearly a whole large pizza was leftover. They don't mess around with the cheese. That was some high quality cheese. Driver was relatively on time (between 35-40 minutes for an EDT of 35 minutes). Felt like longer, but only because I was neurotically checking my phone to make sure I didn't miss him in my stupefied state. From my own experience as a pizza delivery expert, I can confidently say he handled his delivery duties with speed and professionalism. Overall, good pizza but maybe slightly overpriced. read more

For delivery, this really is as good as it gets. 3 stars as on average?? Pshhaw. I'm surprised by this. My local Pagliacci (I think it's the one on 10th in Cap Hill) are stellar. Everyone who answers is super friendly. They always deliver under the time given. I feel lucky to have pizza delivered to my house like this. (Seriously, I used to live in a pizza delivery black hole.) I always order my well well done and it's exactly to my liking. Lesson here: they take requests and always make sure you're happy with it. I think if you have gotten bad pizza from here than you're probably bad at ordering. Just today, I received a small "token" of their appreciation in the mail in the form of two $1 off tokens that I can use on my order. All in all, i kinda love these guys.
