This is an exceptional dining experience right in the heart of Chatham!…read more My mom and I have dined here 3 times on our trips to the Cape. We do the 4 course option and it feels like you are in Paris with the elevated presentation and innovative flavor combinations. It is definitely a place for a special night out! The menu changes often and I've tried different things each time! This time I had the tuna crudo, octopus, lobster and cheese plate. Everything was truly incredible! I can't wait to come back here every summer! It truly is a spectacular restaurant.

Nice to see many familiar faces amongst the servers, and the sommelier (Raphael) is truly wonderful! We have always been met with warm greetings and very good and attentive service. My wife loved all the courses of her meal. 2 of mine were amazing (the toro and the steak), 2 were very good (the lobster and the lavender dessert), and one was decidedly lacking (first course bonito). So, in my opinion, not as consistently great as it was last year. But maybe wife would differ with me on this. Yes, it is pricey. But of the "pricey" options on the Cape, we definitely feel this is still the best. It's up to each person to decide whether any of these fine dining/pricey options are worth the premium over the cost of dining at the many "nice " restaurants on the Cape. We will return.

The interior is pretty basic, small tables and small chairs, so a person of substance such as myself didn't find the seating comfortable. I tried: - French onion soup: this should have been an easy win. I found the Gruyere cheese to be overly thick, and the broth to be heavy handed on the wine. - Steak tartare: this was a good dish. The beef was thin cut, smooth, and the egg was cooked just right so the yolk added richness that then got offset by the capers. Due to the richness, you may actually find that this could be all you need for a meal, despite it looking small. - Croque Madame: le sigh, what a failure this sandwich was. Over easy egg? Not today, over medium, so not much runny yolk but a thicker one. This is a gigantic salt bomb, in addition. They serve your water in tiny glasses and every bite led to downing an entire glass of water. It's good they were on top of refilling the glasses, but even then I finished a quarter of this before I couldn't take it any more. I did saunter over to the counter where they have a lot of good looking pastries, so we'll see if the ones I bought end up redeeming this place. As it stands, I can't recommend this establishment unless you'd like to try the tartare.

While vacationing on the Cape, I was eager to imbibe in all things cranberry. With that being said,…read moreyou can imagine my glee when Truro was offering pours of cranberry wine on a late November afternoon during our visit. Wine in hand, we picked up just about every item in the gift shop and dreamt of a checked bag to stow it all away in. We meandered out to the tent and cozied around a fire pit to savor our glasses of wine. Back to my dreams of a checked bag: If I'd brought one, it'd be full of bottles of that exact cranberry wine and just enough bubble wrap to ensure safe transport. Our view was faintly lit by dainty string lights cheering up the out-of-season rows of grapes running up the hillside. My mom and I decided this would be a stunning wedding venue and got to pretend planning. I could've sat around that fire, sipping wine and chatting with mi familia, until I was old and gray. Truro Vineyards was the actualization of my every desire for a glass of cranberry vino, and I will remember it for time and eternity!

It's really good if you like sweet. Our guide was very clear and knowledgeable about the process of making the wines and the transportation of grapes to the vineyard. The rolling hills of grapes on vines, through pretty small compared to California wine country, provided a lovely backdrop on the property, where we were free to roam with our glasses. If you can't bring home any wine, the shop has great wine accessories and vineyard merchandise that I wish I got. Luckily, we each got to keep our Truro wine glass for more sipping in the future.

The process is easy- you're given a card when you arrive that tracks which wines you pour. There is a nice selection of white and red wines from many regions. They have a simple food menu, which has never disappointed and a casual vibe. Grab a game and relax by the fireplace with your favorite wine and a yummy bite! We really love this place (so much that we came here after getting engaged!) No reservations needed, but it does get busy on weekends. Lentz_explore

While I can appreciate the choose your own adventure / tasting concept and benefits of moving at your own pace, wine tasting is something where I'd prefer to have more of a personal touch. The storytelling and personal connection was missing, and made the experience feel a bit hollow. The space was a nice open hang and there's snacks and games, and there is staff there, but the experience made me realize I prefer a guided human tour for some things, wine tasting being one of them. Prices also snuck up on us a bit, it's easy to lose count of how many you've had with the card reader. I was also a bit bummed to find that if you liked a wine you cannot purchase a bottle on site. But I'm glad I tried it and had fun.

Might as well rename this place to Orlando's, because that's why we went and that's what we called it. He makes the best drinks on the cape, and was the best company I've ever had from a bar tender. He makes incredible, drinks, might as well claim "Orlando's" as home of the pain killer. He makes a damn good one. With a big beautiful smile, exuberance and Joy we just loved hanging out at our home bar away from home. The food leans more on the healthy side and while stuffing yo face full of cholesterol on the cape your gut might need a break. From grain bowls to smoothies you'll like the food but love the company.

What do you know about love?…read more.. Me? Not much... Be that as it may, I was in the Chatham area of Cape Cod during the 4th of July Weekend on business. Needed something wholesome to eat... capital punishment penalties pending for anything ordered from Wendy's late-night window menu. No bueno. Lol. So, I began a hard target search for good vibes and better food. I searched every Cape Cod beachhouse, penthouse, greenhouse, waterhouse, earth-house, lighthouse, boathouse, meeting-house, steakhouse, and coffeehouse. After some extensive clicks and swipes and a few phone calls, I settled on giving the Chatham Moods Cafe & Grill an in-person visit. Jackpot. Now... What do you know about love at first sight?... Me? Not much. Just the same, the moment I pulled up, there was a current of positivity drawing me in. Emma, the hospitable hostess, greeted me, offered her recommendations from the Caribbean menu, took my order, and seated me with the warmest 3-1-3 smile known to humanity. As I listened to the stereo pumping melodies and island sounds from Jamaica, I stretched my legs and felt blessed. I asked for a fruity non-alcoholic beverage. And Emma aka "La Professora" the mixologist happily obliged. Delicious. As for the food... What do you know about love at first bite? Me? Not much. The soup was heavenly. It was that good. The jerk chicken in lite stew sauce was sensational... And: You've gotta try the crab and corn chowder soup. I don't know much of anything. But I do know this establishment was a godsend with 2 angels at the front, an angel in the kitchen, and a divine atmosphere. Priceless. If you're ever in the Chatham area of Cape Cod you've gotta try them out. Orlando, the master chef, and his team will treat you like an honored guest. As for today, I'm considering taking my All-Savants Transportation Team down to swallow a taste of heaven. Yum. With smiles, Benney
