I love mole. When we asked at our hotel where we could find it, the concierge spent some time searching. She called us with Paisano cafe. This was a terrific find. It's listed as a hidden gem and that is the truth. When we arrived, they had run out of mole and were making a fresh batch. It was worth the wait. And the appetizer empanadas were terrific. The service was great, the food delicious, and the atmosphere very pleasant.

We went here for dinner while we were driving through New Mexico. The restaurant is so attractive and comfortable. They have seating both inside and outside. Everyone who works there is so kind and helpful. We had chips and salsa and I had chicken tacos, which were so good. Our server went out of her way to accommodate us and make sure we were happy. They are dog friendly, and my beautiful cocker spaniel laid under the table while we ate outside. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This was such a great find ! Yummmmy! The in house mole choices here will blow your mind. My pablano vegano was so good after one bite I lost all restaurant etiquette and started plowing away at my dish . Then realized I didn't get a picture of the stuffing , it was that good . Service was wonderful.

A hidden gem for sure. A little bit of a challenge to find but worth the effort. We were traveling through New Mexico and had a planned stay in Las Cruces. This restaurant is a must. The ambiance is okay the food makes up for it. Authentic, traditional food that is seasoned and cooked well. We enjoyed the Tampiqueña, skirt steak with guacamole and rice and beans. Cooked perfectly, and the Chiles en Nogada, which at first blush could come off as too sweet but contrary to the ingredients it was lovely. You will miss out on an opportunity for a wonderful meal if you do not give them a try.

The enmoladas are delicious. I've always been disappointed with mole, but the mole sauces at Paisano's are all delicious!!!

My girlfriend and I came in tonight and honestly... wow…read more I got the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and she got the Pesto Penne with chicken added, and both dishes were incredible. I've eaten a lot of Italian food over the years, and this was easily some of the best I've had. The Alfredo was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor without feeling heavy. The pesto penne was fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. We kept trading bites because we couldn't decide which one was better. Even before the entrees came out, the salad and bread were amazing. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. Nothing felt rushed or mass-produced. You can tell there is real pride behind the food here. What stood out just as much was the hospitality. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and made us feel genuinely appreciated. We had the chance to chat with the owner's mother before leaving, and that level of warmth really reflects what this restaurant is about. It's rare to find a place where every part of the meal hits, from the bread and salad all the way to the last bite of pasta, but Lorenzo's absolutely delivered. We'll be back, and we'll be bringing friends and family with us. If you're in Las Cruces and wondering whether this place is worth trying, the answer is yes.

The manager was able to accommodate a last minute change/request. The service was amazing. Well poured drinks, great wine menu and a good selection of beers. "Salud to Salud!"…read more Tucked away in the heart of Las Cruces, Salud is the kind of spot that makes you instantly relax the moment you walk in -- jazzy tunes playing softly, a laid-back vibe, and plenty of seating options whether you want bar energy, cozy indoor tables, or fresh-air patio feels. The menu is surprisingly creative with tons of vegan and vegetarian choices (and they'll happily modify just about anything). I decided to branch out and try their vegan tamale, and wow -- easily one of the most unique takes I've had! It's served wet style with a rich sauce poured over the top, and it totally worked. Pair that with a glass of their perfectly brewed iced tea and you've got yourself a solid meal. The service was spot-on from start to finish -- several friendly faces checked on our table throughout, which always makes a difference. And bonus points for the little gift shop attached to the restaurant -- it's such a charming touch. Salud really nails that small-town comfort with big flavor and genuine hospitality.

We did a calamari starter and decided to go ahead with our dinners too. Lasagna was my choice, actually 2 of us had lasagna and 2 had the dinner combo with lasagna, fettuccini Alfredo and chicken Parmesan. The calamari was a little too done, and the manager noticed it, came to our table and suggested that we allow him to bring a properly prepared replacement. We said ok, and when the 2nd version came out, we realized how much better it was. Nice catch! Our meals came out on super hot plates, but each one of us was warned and we followed instructions! My lasagna was sooooo big! I got 3 ample meals out of it. And it was better each time. Love how Italian dishes always get better with a little bit of time! We had no room for dessert- given the salad and breadsticks feature. My only wish is that they had a romaine lettuce salad rather than the mixture they used. Iceberg lettuce is my nemesis, I can't eat it! Oh well, I had plenty to enjoy without it! It was a busy Wednesday night, but not loud at all. Our waitress had refills for us in the blink of an eye and she was attentive and nice. I was impressed with the service and food quality, which I don't often say in big chain restaurants!
