My first instinct was to give them 3 stars, but I'm not sure I vote them "A-OK" and I have definitely experienced better. I was having a major pizza craving so I ordered a small cheese to be delivered. They told me it would be 45 mins - 1 hr, it was lunchtime on a Friday, so that seemed about right. The pizza came in about 25 minutes, and was definitely hot and fresh - no complaints there. However, the pizza just wasn't my "type". I prefer a slightly crackery crust, and this was kind of thick, but not buttery - just kind of generic. The sauce was too sweet for my taste and there was a lot of cheese. It kind of reminded me of high school cafeteria pizza. Perhaps sometime we'll try some non-pizza items on their menu and I'll have a better report. read more

The pizza was delicious but it took forever to get it. They quoted my friend 30 minuted and since she had to wait before for pizza, she waited an extra 5 minutes before we left. When we got there - they said it would be ready in 10 minutes. We waited and waited and waited and 15 minutes later, it was done. They should not quote 30 minutes if it's going to take almost twice that. We missed the Bears party because we had to wait for the pizza to be done. I'm not sure how I haven't reviewed Paisan's before.....I've been here quite *ahem*....a lot. Excellent pizza. Slices are huge. Lunch special is the way to go....2 tasty slices and a drink. Boom. My favorite item is the grilled chicken breast sandwich. Oh, and crinkly fries of course! Tonight I ordered the meal deluxe, which meant coleslaw AND fries. Boom! Open late! I never, I mean never, complain. My girlfriend was feeling lousy and thought pasta might help. She ordered a pasta meal, no sauce. For the hell of it, I ordered the $9.95 bruschetta. Carry out. The bruschetta was six slivers of cold toast with a few carryout cups of spaghetti sauce and parmesan cheese. Her noodles were a small dish, at most a soup bowl size of cooked pasta. Paisan's is located right in downtown Brookfield which is almost dead. There's the Irish Times which is usually hopping, otherwise there are thrift stores and a few other restaurants that don't seem to draw a lot of people. Paisan's itself strikes me as kind of a high school hangout. Mostly booths and a menu to draw kids just coming out of school for a snack. Not much style, mostly colored glass blocks and formica topped booths. Came here for pizza, ordered a large half cheese and half pepperoni and a large sausage, mushroom, green pepper and onion. The order was ready in 30 minutes and came out piping hot. The pizza itself wasn't bad but I didn't find it outstanding. Toppings were plentiful but I had issue with the sauce (it was too sweet) and the crust (too thick and tough). The two pizza's were around 35 bucks which is a pretty good price. Counter help were "perky" teenagers so no complaints there. Just that the food isn't to my taste, but don't let that stop you from trying it. read more

Not my first choice of pizza, but we still eat it a lot since its less than a block from our house. If you order their normal "thin crust" pizza you will probably rate it 1 star. The thin crust is oddly thick and has about 5lbs of cheese on it and not in a good way, I have thought about asking for cheese on the side sometimes so I could make a whole lasagna to go with my cheesy pizza. We order it extra thin crust so you get that Midwest cracker crust going on and then lite cheese. This is the only edible version of their pizza in my opinion. The only downside to this is that the pizza weighs at least 70% lighter than what you would normally order, but they charge the same price, so its a little pricey/ripoff. The sauce is very sweet, but works well with sausage/cheese saltiness. So overall if you order is right and its convenient, it is pretty good pizza, but if its out of your way, go to Aurelios in La Grange, much better, though maybe a tad more expensive? read more

I have been here several times and without fail the service is absolutely horrible. They have such a discrimination against teenagers. They will ignore you for as long as possible and treat you like crap. Me and my friends are very respectful in all the stablishments we go to and usually tip very nicely. But these people only looked at our age and treated us like crap. Our pizza always takes up to an hour to get to our table if we are even seated at all and when it gets here it is cold. The staff doesn't seem to care about their job at all, even when I come in with adults. Don't get me wrong, when they make it right, their pizza is great. But the staff are just really rude and prejudiced people. If you look like you are below 30, I would not come or order here. read more

I only ordered from this place because the menus I had said $8.99 for a 12" pizza, and $1.70 per topping. I went to pick it up and the girl behind the counter gave me a total of $19.65. I said that seems expensive for a 12" pizza and she turned to her manager and told him with an attitude right in front of me that I was complaining about the price of the pizza. Apparently the menu I had was old and I apologized for the mix up because the the new price was listed right in front of me up on the board. $20 for a 12" with 2 toppings pizza is absolutely insane! Because of the attitude the girl behind the counter had and the ridiculous cost of the pizza I will not be a return customer. What can I say about Paisan's. I usually get the thin crust pizza. It's my favorite place for thin crust. Some friends of mine do complain that the sauce is too sweet, but I think that's what I like about it. I like the veggie pizza. They put tons on toppings on it. I've had their chicken and pasta. Everything is very good there. I had my baby shower there. They have a parry room. Everyone enjoyed the food. They have three locations and I have been to all three. They serve different items at different locations so be aware, and sometimes the food quality varies from location to location. read more

Once again great service from Gabby and food was very tasteful, I had the Paisan salad and my wife had the Southwest Chili. We also did boneless wings half Garlic Parmesan and half of their homemade Dragon sauce..... I recommend the Dragon if you like spicy n sweet, we've tried a few different things here and was pleased with it. Only thing i was eh with was the Pizza because I'm a thin crust person. read more

i've been eating at paisans since i was 13 and i never thought i'd say this but my pizza today was AWFUL. the crust was like a stale cracker and i had to scrape the pizza off the box and got bits of cardboard in it as well. the wings are absolutely subpar and dry asl. this is terrible considering it was 50 BUCKS for a large pizza (which looks just like a small) and an order of wings. this place has gone so much downhill ever since they renovated to that tacky industrial style. they should be ashamed. used to be my favorite place to get a slice of pizza and a drink after school. now they're just another overpriced crap restaurant with horrible staff. read more

Usually I get pizza delivered to our house. For the first time we wanted to get slices from the location. 2 sausage , 2 cheese slices to carry out. They made us wait 5 min and then told us they dont have any sausage pizza left so its going to take 10min. We said okay. After 10 min another girl comes and says we have to wait 10 more min because they forgot to put our orders in. After 5 min another girl comes asks if we want a cheese slices instead of sausage . After waiting that much we said no. The second girl comes asks us the same question again. Basically at this point we just want our slices. So they give us our order and they say have a good day. We go back to the car. Checked it , its 4 slices of cheese ! No sausage . By the way its raining crazily. So we run back to the restaurant.all of those girls are ignoring us. So we are talkin to this manager. And he told us we have to wait 10 min for the sausage . We told him we already waited 30 min for 4 slices of pizza which should be the quickest thing. Otherwise we could've order a pizza to eat there if we wanted to wait 30min. He said he didnt know . So he goes back and gets a one slice of pizza in a white to go box that has been sitting out . We asked our money back at this point. They did not apologize . Too bad that I tipped them too ! As a person who works in customer service, this was the worst service ever. I went here about a week ago, my service was good and the food was decent. While at dinner my son (a baby) had an accident and made a pretty big mess. I am a single father so I went to the bathroom in this newly renovated restaurant to change his diaper and I was shocked that there was no changing station in the men's room. I can't believe in 2017 people can't put a changing station for dads in the men's room. This is ridiculous. You've never heard of a father changing a diaper before? I ended up having to go in the woman's room and having somebody stand outside of the woman's room so that nobody walked in us. I really hope you realize this is an issue and correct this. my boyfriend absolutely loves this place and talks very highly about the food. He's always been a regular and gives them a lot of business, as well as myself and our friends, always generously tipping if we dine in. Recently, at least two or three times now, my boyfriend will ask for extra sauce on the side and they always give him a ketchup amount of sauce. He's specified that he doesn't mind paying for more but they always give him a cup that he can't even dip in. I regularly get something else and i usually order to go. I also ask for extra sauce and will pay for it if need be and they NEVER do it. We aren't the type of people who complain or want to start any issues but there's also been disputes with the manager who clearly messed up our order and is just downright unapologetic, uncaring, and does not seem to want to be there at all. I know it's not just us having these problems because a few of my friends and siblings said they will never go back due to poor service and the way they were treated. The workers are all the same too. The food is great but the people who work there are absolutely unprofessional and do not give a care in the world whether they please you or not. for the price your paying, you'd think they would care more but that's obviously not the case. Held my daughters 8th grade graduation party here for 70 people. Mario handled our event from beginning to end. He is first class and doesn't miss even the smallest of detail. Sat 70 comfortably. The food was delicious!! The service was terrific and worked well behind the scenes. Timing of food being brought out was spot on! Many many compliments from family and friends about the food, service and great atmosphere. Well worth every dollar we spent. Holy angsty teenagers! After our annual trip to the Brookfield Zoo, we decided to try a new pizzeria afterwards and boy was that a mistake. The place looked alright, in the sense of your typical small town, maybe family owned restaurant. Not the cleanest of places but what do you expect from a pizza joint. We ordered our meal and spent 50 bucks for some partially defrosted mozzarella sticks and 2 pizzas with melted rubber on top of them. We walked to a table waiting for it to be cleaned considering the fact that there were 8 of us and we needed a larger table. The tough as nails pushy girl from behind the counter rushed over, rolled her eyes and exclaimed "gotta finish cleaning this before you sit guys." Which is absolutely understandable but the tone was so rude we all went silent except for one person in our party who politely said "no problem, thanks so much." The food arrived and my cousin spent 5 minutes sawing into the pizza, during which time a couple people wanted silverware. I got up and asked for silverware and ranch from the front counter, got a short and annoyed response and stood waiting for the ranch that I had to pay a dollar for (because clearly ranch is a delicacy.) This apparently upset the angry girl, who then yelled from behind the pizza window, "go sit down I'll bring it to you!" Her eyes burned with hatred, I wasn't sure what she hated more me or her job. I walked over to my table and we all bursted out laughing, we felt like we were in Nazi Germany!! She walked over and threw them in front of us. We thanked her and she walked away. All the employees were loud and rude behind the counter and did not care for their customers at all. I left feeling uncomfortable and ill from the 2 pieces of pizza I forced down my throat.
