Went to the Brookfield location after Christmas lights with my family, service was a slow on the drinks and there was a mixup with our food but they comped have well enough to make me want to try again. What a nice patio Paisans has, what blah food Paisans has. I always like to give a restaurant a second try, it can be an "off night" but unfortunately my second visit was a bigger disappointment. I met a friend, we both ordered pizza, mine was a pan pizza with veggies. We also ordered an appetizers of Chicken Fingers. When the Chicken Fingers came to the table, it was actually a couple of chicken patties that were cut in half. Yuck! My pizza was luke warm, it did not have enough sauce on it and no seasoning at all. This pizza costs more than a pizza at Lou Malnatis! We asked for our pizzas to be boxed up, the boxes were marked and we went on our merry way. Everytime we order from here their prices go up, yet Bill's Place, a similar eatery in LaGrange Park still has their same prices and appear not to have changed at all in several years. I don't mind paying more as long as the quality matches, but it does not. We ordered 12 boneless "wings" and what we got were tiny little chicken bites smaller than chicken mc nuggets. They had no taste and were rock hard, this all at 17.99 for 12. There pizza was good, but still very overpriced at almost $30 for a one topping XL. The worst part of it all was the next day we all spent extra time in the bathroom, all 5 of us! This is unacceptable and restaurants like this need to work on cleanliness more and stop using MSG!! read more

This place looks like a great place to grab some pizza. Unfortunately for us service was terrible. walking in we were standing 5 min before anyone bothered to ask us if we needed a table. Once being seated our waitress must have not seen us since it took her 15 min to come ask if we wanted any drinks. The food was ok. A little pricey for pizza but not a problem. Our waitress michelle must have forgot us at the end that I had to ask the manager for my bill. She never came by again. If in the area try it out. This is the first time the weed I am in is this Paisans. Normally we go to the one in Berwynn. Been Valentine's Day it was really hard to get a reservation at the pro and location. We try our luck here in Brookfield and it worked out. The staff is really friendly, and the food is just as good as the one in Berwyn. It was my son's birthday so we had a bunch of 12-year-olds with us. Everything worked out perfect because we had an early dinner so there was plenty a room for us to be there. I order every single week from this place for atleast 5 years. Love the pizza. However. Tonight I called to pre order a dine in 16 inch stuffed crust pizza. The cubs are on and I figured I would start the order and head over. Those pizzas take 40min. When I called I was told I can't take your order for dine in. I asked why and the girl said I told you I can't take your order we don't do that. Huh? You can't start a pizza that takes 40 mins??I offered to prepay she said no and hung up on me. My wife and I frequented here before the remodel and never had any complaints. This is the first time we have been here since they finished the remodel. The inside looks great however I would gladly trade it for the old paisans. The prices for the food are OUTRAGEOUS!!. $10.59 for an order of mozzarella sticks is a rip off. Our entire bill for two sandwiches, fries, and two sodas was +30 dollars...(the food was average at best) not worth the price at all.... but I guess they have to find some way to pay for the big fancy remodel. Sat down right away with out a wait so we figured it was a good sign were we wrong. It took 50 minutes for our food to come after we ordered and one of the orders was a chicken club sandwich. We had three kids under 5 with us and they were ready to leave by the time the food got to us. Everything that we ordered was subpar at that, pretty disappointing for the time we had to wait to get it. I know everyone here has been to busy restaurants before but it didn't seem that busy to me. If customer service is important to you... do not order from here. We recently ordered and received the wrong pizza. Not everyone was aware of what was ordered and started eating. As soon as I noticed that our order was incorrect (we ordered cheese and got what I believe to be meatlover's) I called. When I told the girl who answered the phone her response was, "Okay. We will make you a new one right now but whatever you do, don't touch the one that you got. When we have the driver bring you the new one he will pick that one up." When I told her that our guests didn't know what we were ordering so a few were missing I was immediately put on hold. When she picked back up she said, "Yeah, since you ate part of that one there is nothing we can do." Rather than argue about it I just got off the phone. Are you kidding me?? We order from here regularly and this just disgusts me. What were they planning on doing with the pizza they were picking up? We already waited almost an hour for the first pizza and now we have to wait again and you want this one back? Were they planning on delivering this cold pizza to someone else? I've had this happen before from other restaurants and we have NEVER had any of them ask for the wrong item back. When you screw up and we call to let you know you should apologize and fix it. Ordered pizza and an Italian sub this past time (for some reason I've been going back for 8 years now, hoping it would get better). 20 minutes for two slices of pizza for my son.. Finally got up and retrieved the slices from the window myself. Girls behind the counter were talking about what they were going to do that evening. We've been ordering from here roughly 3 times a month for a long time. Last night, we did as per our normal "pizza night", and I'm sounding the alarm. They definitely found a new grade of ingredients since last time -- not a better grade. The pepperoni was tombstone grocer's freezer bad. Sausage was cheap & somehow smooth too. Thats right, smooth sausage. I'm worried you guys. At 38, I'm way too old to start a new pizzeria relationship! Somebody get the manager on the horn & let him know we're on to him. This is hands down my favorite pizza that is closest to where I live. We order pizza from here a couple times a month and have been doing so for years. I'm a fan of the plain cheese pizza here. The crust is kind of dense and the sauce is much sweeter than most pizza sauces, but it just does something for me. Every once in a while, I just really crave this pizza! One minor annoyance is that they don't let you substitute vegetables for the vegetable pizza (which is an extra $5). For example, we ordered a veggie pizza for dinner tonight and wanted to substitute the olives for a different vegetable or just more of one of the other veggies. They said they would charge us another $1 if we wanted to do that. Lame! This is why I like to stick to cheese pizza from here and then just use the money I would use on the veggie pizza on extra vegetables for the salad. We usually order our pizza to be picked up, so I can't speak for the dining in experience at Paisan's. If you're in the area, I highly recommend ordering from here. The pizza fills you up, is easy to snack on, and tastes delicious heated up in the oven as leftovers. Tip: The pizza tastes better on weeknights as opposed to weekends. read more

GRATUITY ADDED WITHOUT NOTIFYING !! And gave her an extra $20 on top! We had family of 8 that's with 3 babies. Just ordered appetizers, pizzas and waters. Server brought us cups with pitchers of water and we served our selfs. We needed more water by the way. Now, we wanted to split checks between two people. Brother In law ended up paying the tab, so we thought we can put in the tip. She had already took and charged the tab, so we ended up buying a beer to add a $20 tip telling her we wanna put the tip separate from that bill. She charged us , we put $20 tip and then she tells us Gratuity was added on the other tab after we tip her . WHAT!!!!!???? Well thanks for telling us right after we buy a beer for no reason and give you another tip for no reason. Well we felt awful and awkward to even ask and tell her not to add that tip and to forget it. We were so disappointed. Now if I'm correct! GRATUITY IS ILLEGAL IN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS. HORRIBLE customer service for customers who have been ordering for years. We order a lot from my work place. It's a big place and they get a lot of service from us. I also personally order from here a lot. Last night some of my coworkers and I ordered a pizza. We have a limited meal time like most work places. When we received the pizza it looked like someone dropped it on the floor! The pizzas here are good but not cheap. We called and they said it would be another 45 minutes and they have to see the pizza they screwed up. So the five of us couldn't eat any of the pizza on our only break. They came with new pizza and took the other one. We got nothing off the bill, I was shocked. That's not how you do business with your loyal costumers. They should be ashamed of themselves. We order pizza fairly often. The sauce is sweet but very tasty. Free liter of RC with pizza orders (although last time it was flat). The only other thing I've eaten there was steak burritos (decent and huge, but expect a long wait when getting carry-out, for some reason). My only turn-off is that they have an aquarium to the side of the front counter, and one time while I was waiting for my carry-out, the larger fish began eating the smaller fish! I mentioned it to the cashier and she said "yeah, they always do that." Ewww...I mean, I was about to eat meat myself, but this was very unappealing and unappetizing. So I don't go in there anymore, only order delivery. Maybe some customers find this amusing? I think it's inappropriate in any food establishment. read more

Last Friday afternoon at work we started talking pizza. The conversation turned back to Paisan's and we all were immediately starving! Come Monday, it is the first thing mentioned by a coworker "Good morning. Let's order Paisan's!" I really wish they told you the size of the pizza slices. Pizza slices vary so much that it is hard to determine what it will truly be. I ordered two. It was far too much for me. I did learn, though, that you can add toppings to your pizza slice for a nominal charge. I wish I would have known that! I became jealous of someone's mushrooms! Our go-to Pizza place. We've eaten in once or twice, but this is our delivery place. Great sauce, great dough, great cheese. I've always been happy with the quality of the pizza, though I wish it was delivered a bit faster. Sometimes it's super fast and super hot, and sometimes it's tepid and I have to nuke it for a bit. And I'm a good tipper ($5 minimum on any order) so I'm not sure why it's so slow sometimes. But I digress. It's yummy. I've also eaten in at the location on Ogden in Berwyn, which tastes the same as this. (Oddly, I think that one is physically closer to us, but this Brookfield location is the one we're supposed to order delivery from.) I can't really speak to the quality of anything else on the menu. It's a pizza joint. It's good pizza. Try the Sicilian -- it's delicious. Not nearly as good as the Berwyn location. Undercooked and unseasoned fries. Burgers were over cooked. There's no point in asking me how I want my burger cooked if you're going to cook it well done anyway. Burger was so hot that grease squirted out on my first bite and burned the corner of my mouth pretty bad to the point I had a small blister. Chicken wings for an appetizer were decent but they were definitely pre-cooked and re-dropped into the fryer because they were not as hot as they should have been on the inside. Service was okay but the server was not very attentive and one of our orders came without the requested grilled jalapeños. I wish i was allowed negative stars. I was really excited to try this place out. Unfortunately that excitement decreased every minute that passed by. I don't know why we had to wait 50 minutes for our food. I'm not sure why other families received their food before us when we were there before them. I was trying to give them the benefit of maybe they placed their order before us. Then the waiter told us it would be one more minute. Then it wasn't. They gave us a free dessert that was enough for maybe 2 when we were 8 in our party. The food was subpar. I was hoping it would be good at least to make up for the wait but nope. I won't be back and I'm kicking myself for not complaining about our visit to the manager. Besides the waiter, no one else checked on us or apologized for the wait. The waiter didn't try give us any refills. Usually anyone who would feel bad about the wait would try to make it up by bringing drinks without having to ask. My husband & I dinner outside at the Brookfield location last night, which has a beautiful patio with great ambiance. Their pizza is fantastic. Sauce a little sweet in a good way, and soft crust with lots of melty cheese on top. We initially thought a topping we ordered had been left out & told the server who went to address it right away, but when we bit in we realized our topping had just been hiding under all the cheese. They still compensated us substantially even though the order was right all along. We have the server a huge tip & loved our meal. The dinner salads are great, too with a fantastic balsamic vinaigrette dressing. We will go again! read more

I would not recommend this place to anybody. The food is great besides the fries being really soggy. The service is terrible, the workers are rude and don't even greet you. If you are looking for a place to eat and do homework after school, do not come here because the workers treat everyone under 18 with disrespect. They will not even give you a simple cup of water which should be free (it wasn't even in a bottle). Also, even if your friends bought something and you didn't, you aren't allowed to eat there. It was upsetting because I either had to wait there with my friends out outside in the -10 degrees weather. We had money on apple pay, but they wouldn't accept it so that is also another reason. We would buy food if we could but they wouldn't let us so you should have a right to stay there while your friends eat. The food is great but overall the terrible service overrules it. read more

Paisans is an icon in Brookfield. Not the best pizza, but good. Sauce is too sweet for my taste. They have a very diverse menu that will suit anyones craving. A little weird for a pizza joint but it works. Servers are always friendly. Orders taken quickly and they will bring it to your table. It's a magnet for the teen scene here in Brookfield. I like the fact that teens have a place to grab a slice and hang out without causing trouble. It's a great place to take the family or get an order to go. Food is average but it's convenient. Things I like about Paisans: -Amazing sauce; it's sweeter than average pizza -They have a pretty good 2-slice and a drink deal for lunch, and you can call ahead and have whatever type of pizza you want included in the deal (not just the usual sausage/cheese/pepperoni options) Things I don't love about Paisans: -The appetizers aren't THAT amazing. Quite simply, my favorite pizza in the world. While I've never eaten in the restaurant, we get delivery a couple times a month, and they never disappoint. It's always delicious and always arrives well within the delivery window they mention. And the pizza? My goodness. Loaded with cheese, and the best sauce ever! I think the sweet sauce is absolutely delicious, and we always have friends commenting on how wonderful it is. The sausage is divine and the toppings are always super fresh. Ah, Paisans, the Brookfield staple. My family has been patronizing this pizza place nearly all my life. This pizza is fantastic from the cheese to the bread-y crust (I usually opt for extra thin). The most divisive part about their pies is the sauce, since they opt for a sweeter flavor opposed to salty of garlic-y. I find the flavor delightful and unique. People seem to either love or hate the sweet sauce, I of course fall into the former category. The Brookfield location is currently undergoing a full renovation, while they still deliver and offer take-out. They also offer good deals for schools and non-profits. read more

Our family went here to try a new place to eat and we were disappointed. There were a total of 7 people inside the restaurant and we ordered 1 pizza and some soft drinks. It literally took over 30 minutes for our pizza to arrive to our table. The waitress couldn't be any less enthused and there were 6 people working the kitchen. The pizza finally came and it wasn't anything special. The meat on the pizza tasted a day or two old. ( If you've ever eaten two day old left over cooked chicken breast or beef then you know what i'm talking about).
