    Crookshanks approves this turkey leg
    Cathrin P C.

Wow, totally didn't check Yelp before stumbling into this place, desperate for some turkey legs. It's more of a casual grab to go already made food but hey, why not... they were bagging fresh turkey legs and rotisserie chicken and hey, why not... better than the other overpriced carb crap you would get all over Universal Studios. Crookshanks approves. Kiddo also approves of the mash potatoes side and we parents approve of the $2.99 price when you purchase the turkey leg for about $12.99 -- and hey, why not?

Was looking forward to a healthier option but they were closed.

the sushi was made of cardboard, the clam chowder was too salty, and the sandwich was stale and dry. I wish I could give it 0 stars.

It was perfectly brewed, balanced, and I got the orange blossom latte with whole milk and it was phenomenal. A literal 10/10, it was somewhat sweet, it had complex flavor it was exactly what I was looking for. Would definitely come here again for the coffee and I really like the unique coffee flavors here. Now the inside is nothing special to be honest and its overall not a place I would say is good for working or studying, more for hanging out. There isn't too much seating so just be wary of that and parking was a bit annoying where I had to street park with meters, although there are plenty of spots. The service was fast and attentive and would definitely come again. I drove all the way here just to try it and left satisfied.

I also think their cardamom drinks are what make this place worth trying. The Yala, on the other hand, was just okay. It tasted like a pretty standard iced latte and was way too milky for my preference, so I didn't get much coffee flavor from it. Overall, I'd come back for the Evil Eye or one of their cardamom drinks, but outside of those, nothing else really stood out to me.

The chicken pot pie is absolutely perfect, will warm you to the core, and absolutely satisfy you. The quiches all redefined quiche for me, I can't get enough of them. My favorite is the potato leek, the goat cheese blends into these flavors in a way that makes me feel like I'm Remy in that one scene of Ratatouille. I can't believe I walked by this place for 3 years before ever entering, I really wish I was familiar with their game sooner. Stepping in you're greeted by a cozy, rustic ambiance with lots of natural light and plants. Overall, this is a fantastic place to hang out with friends or work remotely for an hour or two.

Parking nearby is challenging; there's very limited metered parking on Magnolia as well as on Lankershim, but I recommend driving to the residential streets behind Republic for free street parking. I've come twice now on weekday afternoons and it's definitely a popular spot both for groups and solo diners! I've never had to wait long and service is efficient and polite! Strawberry Rhubarb Pie 5/5, unexpected hit!! This is surprisingly less sweet and more tart than anticipated and all the while sm better as a result! Blueberry Peach pie 3/5, didn't do it for me, kind of bland, overall v average Matcha latte 3.5/5, average but not bad Banana matcha latte 4/5, enjoyable, but definitely on the sweeter side Coconut matcha latte 4.5/5, this was my goldilocks just right type of drink! the coconut water adds polite hints of sweetness to the matcha which retains its traditionally bitter flavor, would def get this again!
