Pretty rad spot! Honestly was impressed with the food for the price! Was half expecting Disney prices plus but it wasn't bad at all! The whole vibe of the cafe is super dope. Service was okay. Only thing that was a major bummer was making the reservation and then waiting an additional 40mins to order and sit.

As a picky eater, I actually loved the food. It was better than expected especially for an amusement park. Service waa great and again, considering the location, the prices were not bad. They need a bigger dining area but other than that, it was a 10/10 for us.

Fun spot for all ages. Love the concept and interior decor. The "windows" are animated with TVs and fun to watch. Highly recommend making reservations and you can make them in advance online without being in the park. They have certain good items that will change but they seem to have the main entree menu items such as the burgers, browsers spicy meatball, pasta and salads. They often change their souvenir cups and bowls.

I actually really love this place! It's really cute! My boyfriend got the Mario Burger which came with some fries. The burger had mushrooms (which he gave to me (: since he's not a big mushroom person) and bacon. He liked it and thought it was a decent burger. Mine was the Mario Mini Burger Adventure set which I thought was MUCH better and absolutely worth it! It was $14.99 and the burger looked the same size as his, just didn't have the bacon and mushroom. I also got fries (no ketchup though ): )along with broccoli and corn! He was jelly of my corn :3 Inside the the ? box was a chocolate cookie coin too! Mine was totally better. I also got the lemon squash which was a nice drink. It was sweet and fizzy with a lot of jellies and popping boba in it. Kinda pricey at $9.99. For dessert, I got the ? block tiramisu. My boyfriend liked the cookies that made up the box and I liked the actual tiramisu. Not too bad for $10 I guess. Absolutely make the reservation if you go to Universal!

Our little ones love this place! Make sure to make reservations via the Universal Studios Hollywood app. You'll be glad you did as this restaurant gets full quickly, especially the lunch time slots. You can book approximately two months out too! Menus available here: https://www.universalstudioshollywood.com/web/en/us/things-to-do/dining/toadstool-cafe/menu.html Once your reservation time hits, go to the entrance and show your reservation to the staff member. I've tried to go in a couple minutes earlier than the time reserved and have always been told to wait until the exact time. When inside, you will wait in a line and the staff inside will direct you to another line inside with numbers on the floor. Lines upon lines here! Once at the registers, place your order and any drinks you ordered will be handed to you along with a numbered buzzer. Don't forget to ask for cups of water if you'd like some as they don't have any stations inside to get any. You will take everything to another line in which they will ask how many people are in your party and when a table is available, they will seat you. Staff will place your buzzer on the table and you'll wait patiently until your food order arrives. Utensils, napkins and condiments are available at stations throughout the restaurant. Grab them while you wait for your food. This trip, the kids ordered the Mario Mini Burger Adventure Set. It's a great deal and they both could barely finish it. The kids meal comes with a cheeseburger, fries, corn on the cob, broccoli and a coin cookie for dessert. You also get to keep the figure of Mario and the flag. I ordered the Bowser's Fireball Challenge which comes with a pound of meatball topped with mozzarella cheese, mushroom marinara sauce, and a Bowser puff pastry with hot sauce on the side. I usually order the Chef Toad Short Rib Special (in my opinion the best entree here) but wanted something spicy to have with my beer. Don't forget to grab an adult beverage at Isla Nu-Bar (by the Jurassic World ride) to bring in as this restaurant does not serve alcohol. Food is just ok and bland for the most part. You pretty much will eat here for the experience of being immersed in the Mushroom Kingdom. Definitely a great experience for a fan and the kids. So fun! Staff is always so friendly when we go.

Excited I was coming to universal studios after maybe 6 months. The your ride has changed and same with super Mario world. You'd think Mario is the GOAT and gets all his stars, yet he loses stars for yet another memorable experience in not such a good way. Perhaps the food itself would compensate for the experience. I ordered a $20 salad. My friend ordered a four piece marinara and bread appetizer that resembled small mushrooms. The sauce and mushrooms come together. He also ordered a fettuccine Alfredo limited time Luigi meal. In addition, we received an order that was not ordered by us specifically, but given to us for waiting over 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food. Mamma Mia, as Mario would say and us by this painful experience. The dessert was a box with a question mark on it with tiramisu inside it. The food itself was surprisingly not bad. I was expecting an overpriced meal but I felt it was not as bad as it seems. The portions were decent and the flavors were good. However, my salad was drenched, bathed in this creamy sauce that was way too overpowering, I couldn't finish it. It had star shaped croutons and tomatoes and a giant golden starfish with eyes on it presumably a cracker of some sort. Very unique design. We also received a soda with lemon lime flavor. Our total order exceeded $70 mind you, very pricey and ridiculous. Service was atrocious in terms of wait time. 1 hour and 15 minutes to be exact and the place was not busy. This is actually strange to wait over one hour given a normal weekday. Overall, it is questionable to say whether it is worth it or not to come back, but that's a lot of wasted time to receive our meal. The redeeming factor was the free dessert to make up for a significant amount of time wasted. The dessert was $10 which more or less was not necessary enough to gain additional stars. The extra star added was because of this compensation but it isn't helping much. Food was not bad.

Good food and good service. I had Nathan as my cashier and I had the person who brought me food which both had awesome attitudes. The ambiance is super cute-- I love the design and layout of the place. Only thing I would say is I would like some natural sunlight but it's overall a great experience.

I wasn't really expecting much at Toadstool Cafe because Universal Studios food is not that good, but this exceeded my expectations. I got the Flower Power Spaghetti and Meatballs and it was pretty...pretty... pretty good. And it's a little bit spicy. The meatballs were a generous size. I also got the Superstar lemon squash drink and it was tasty. It has these little balls that squirt in your mouth when you bite on it. The Toad theme is fun. They have screens all around the dining area and the toads are cooking and Bowser attacks them. I made a reservation a few days in advance on the Universal app. You could enter 5 minutes before the reservation time. There's a person at the front checking your reservations. When you go inside you just line up behind a register to order. I didn't like that set up because people in front of use were taking forever and it's not like there was a lot to choose from. And then people in the other lines were getting their orders taken. They need one line and call the next person. Once you order you check in with another person to get you a table. It took almost 20 minutes to get my food once I sat down. It's funs place to try at Universal.

Came here on a week day and there was no wait, which was great! The food was alright, it wasn't the best. We came for the experience. Very cute decor and plenty of tables. I really like the tiramisu. All other pastas and food were alright. The tomato soup wasn't good at all, it tasted like it came straight from the can, but on the bright side, they let you keep the little toad bowl as a so

Made a reservation via the app for an early lunch. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Various options from burgers to salads to pastas. A lot them have an option to take home the plate. Price is high as expected and food is just okay. You are certainly paying for the decor and experience. Interior is nice and fun. The meatball or bowsers fireball challenge is a 1 lbs meat mall on top of marinara and cheese, comes with a puff pastry and a side of a hot sauce like cup. Overall meatball is a hard and dry but fine with the sauce. Kids burger is standard with fries and nice that it comes with broccoli and corn. Serving is probably too big for a toddler. Tiramisu is a standard square piece decorated with Mario theme cookies, nice but will try something else next time. Overall it's worth the experience and on par with other theme park eateries.

We ordered the Mario Burger kids meal and one regular Mario Burger meal. The food was okay ..nothing special. Appearancewise, it was really cool how they incorporated the Mario theme throughout the menu and the whole experience. The wait, though, was ridiculous. We made a reservation, but there was still a wait to get in. Then once inside, you have to wait in line to get to the register, wait again after ordering for your food, and then wait again to get to a table. Altogether, we waited over an hour before we were finally able to sit down and eat. I wouldn't recommend it if you're not a patient person. That said, it's a pretty cool experience for kids to try. My son is a big Mario fan, so we had to check it out. The lemonade was actually really refreshing and good! Overall, it feels a bit overhyped, but it's still a cute place .. especially for kids who love Mario.

This place is a total warp pipe into another world! Watching the "toads" hard at work in the kitchen was such a highlight; honestly, they deserve a raise. The seating is 10/10 and makes for some great photos. Now for the gameplay: The Mario Burger was the clear winner here (bacon, mushrooms, and a tiny mustache?! My boyfriend definitely picked the right character). Unfortunately, my Luigi Burger was a bit of a "Game Over." It's a chicken sandwich with a strangely cut, raw green pepper that just didn't hit the mark. However, the fries were golden coins and the Mt. Beanpole Cake was a sweet, sweet victory at the finish line! Come for the vibes, but keep your expectations grounded for the food prices.

I enjoyed the spaghetti with the meatballs. The burger was alright but it did come out cold + cold fries when it was served. As for the drink its refreshing and came with lots of popping boba! And for the dessert I recommend the tiramisu one. I like how each plate comes with a decoration. Overall for 6 items it came out $88+

Drinks: We ordered the yala latte and the fig and vanilla matcha. The yala latte was delicious, sweet (but not too sweet), with a strong, smooth coffee flavor. The fig and vanilla matcha was the best matcha we've ever had. Once stirred, you get the delicious jammy flavor from the fig with the slight inclusions of some seeds and light pulp. The matcha was delicious and high quality as well. Overall the drink was our perfection with the balance of all the flavors and the aesthetic dried fig on top. Every 'Joe Schmoe' can "go out for ice cream"; but do you want to up the ante and show off…read moresophistication? Would you prefer to feel as though you are carefree in Italy and about to hop on a vespa? Then opt for gelato. Somehow, grabbing gelato versus ice cream feels classy and elegant. Although gelato offerings in Los Angeles aren't as widespread as ice cream; there are plenty of options awaiting to make us all feel European (I AM European so I always do but I digress). San Fernando Valley's most recent addition to the world of gelato is Freddo - located not far from the Ventura/ Laurel Canyon intersection in Studio City. Yes, that means this is prime real estate and terrible parking. Is Freddo worth the hassle? Freddo has been in the gelato business for 50 years opening their first shop in Argentina before expanding worldwide focusing on fresh, local ingredients and flavors; making each shop unique to the surrounding cultures. Freddo has arrived in Southern California ready to bring their Italian gelato roots to the City of Angels. Sounds great, right? Well, yes - on paper but this Studio City location fell short. The Studio City location of Freddo has been on the receiving end of viral publicity and influencer love as of late often appearing in social media videos. Coupled with Freddo's worldwide market holding; I had very high hopes for Freddo's gelato. I expected some orgasmic gelato! A mind-blowing experience! My boyfriend and I ventured into Freddo to find a rather large gelateria in comparison to other gelato/ice cream shops with an order counter/gelato/pastry case, a front window-seating counter complete with plants and plenty of tables and seating within; while murals graced the walls adding splashes of color. What I found odd, was the disheveled mess Freddo appeared - why didn't anyone tidy the dining area? Granted, there was only one associate in the front but only two other customers ahead of us. Alas, an untidy gelato shop isn't the clincher to a bad time but this was just the beginning. My boyfriend and I have never visited Freddo and the associate was NOT welcoming, didn't smile, was basically silent and stood there like a statue until we asked for some samples on our own. Let's try "selling the business" and having good customer service, shall we buddy? I am not a gelato professional consumer by any means but I was instantly deterred by the visual appearance of the gelato which just looked 'off'. Perhaps, I am just spoiled by Bacio di Latte which is a hop, skip and jump from Freddo and is absolutely divine. I wasn't overwhelemed by the flavor options at Freddo although I tried Zabaglione which is inspired by the Marsala wine Italian dessert and was interesting with the wine notes coming through the gelato. The Mascarpone (mascarpone with raspberry sauce) was also decent but not overly unique. I decided against purchasing my own gelato and instead to share with my boyfriend with him choosing a double cup ($7.50) of Stracciatella (sweet cream with semi-sweet chocolate chunks) and blackberry sorbet (note: this was to test it against Bacio di Latte's raspberry sorbet which is one of the best sorbets on the planet). The prices at Freddo were another strike with the single cup ($6.25), double ($7.50) and triple ($9.80) being smaller in size than their competitors but about a dollar higher, respectively. This is fine if the gelato is worth it - but it isn't. I'm sorry but Freddo's gelato was mediocre at best. I've had better grocery store pints. The Stracciatella was overly simplified and bland and the blackberry sorbet (which was not strained of seeds) was just bad. I can't even eloquently phrase why - it just is. There isn't much more to be said about Freddo. Freddo is, bluntly, not good and I don't understand how they claim worldwide gelato domination. A messy shop, poor customer service, subpar gelato flavors/textures and overpriced... why is this place viral? Can someone answer me? Anyone?! There is nothing good here and especially when Freddo is overshadowed by Bacio di Latte almost a block away. My boyfriend and I will not be back despite wanting to feel classy consuming gelato. Skip!

Talk about a new favorite coffee shop!! Oh my.. how have I not tried this place sooner?! Nor have I…read moreeven heard of it lol. Dropped by on a weekend and had to park on the street like normal anywhere in LA. We walked down the street to find a very, very busy cafe and super packed but that's a sign, right? Absolutely. 100%. We hopped in line to order and a girl from afar complimented our pokemon shirts lol immediately put a smile on my face. We ordered and the drinks came out pretty quick! Got the Saint Latte and Pistachio Latte and let me tell you. This is hands down the best pistachio latte I've ever had!! Super creamy and the strongness was perfect. They have lots of seating inside and out but we enjoyed ours to go (went to hang out at universal studios for the day). Great spot and can't wait to visit again!! IG: @ammysalamii

My husband and I came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all, although almost all the pastries were already sold out, so I'm guessing the real rush is in the mornings. Overall, I personally wasn't a fan, mainly because the drinks and most of the food felt pretty underwhelming and lacked flavor. I ordered the strawberry matcha and it was honestly the most bland matcha I've had, which is surprising considering there was strawberry puree in it. It didn't taste low quality, just very muted and not something I'd order again, especially since I get matcha (and strawberry matcha) pretty often elsewhere. My husband got the pistachio latte and liked it, but mentioned it leaned a bit too sweet for his taste. For food, we tried the breakfast bagel and I genuinely can't believe how bland it was. It had all the components you'd expect, everything bagel, eggs, cheese, aioli, bacon, and more, but somehow it just fell flat. I kept wanting to add salt or some kind of sauce to bring it to life. I actually stopped eating it because it didn't feel worth it to keep going for something so flavorless. The one highlight was the spinach quiche. I really enjoyed it and would come back for that specifically, although it did feel a little pricey for what it was. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but if someone else wanted to go, I wouldn't object.

If you haven't discovered Dialog Cafe yet, you're genuinely missing out. I stumbled upon this place…read morerecently and it has quickly become one of my favorites in the city. The food is incredible across the board. Salads, breakfast, protein bowls, fresh juices, cookies, everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. My husband and I have even started making it our go-to spot for mid-week dinners, which really says it all. The coffee is top-tier, and the cookie is a literal religious experience. The setting is something special too. The building has a beautiful history rooted in the architecture of the Sunset Strip, and sitting outside with the buzz of the city while you work on your laptop or catch up with someone over a great meal is just hard to beat. The service is just as wonderful as the food. Hector is always so warm and helpful and keeps everything running smoothly, which is really impressive given how popular this place is. A neighborhood staple for good reason. Five stars, easily!

This place has been such a staple in hollywood and it's always good. I love that they change the menu to try new things but also keep some of the old goodies. Today i tried the new broccoli dish and the steak frites with salad . So so so good!! Sauce on the steak was fantastic. The fries were excellent . I'm not a French fry person (i don't order because i try to stay away from fried food) and it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - seasoned perfectly and pairs well with the aioli sauce. The eggs and morning plates are some of my favorite things here for breakfast and i love their croissants and cookies!! The chicken Caesar wrap is a huge hit and i know the Gen Z's love this according to my younger sister lol. I feel like you can't go wrong here, always something for everyone. We've brought friends and family here over the years and we'll always continue to do so. The service is also super friendly . I love that they expanded to the side walk because the wait times used to be even crazier when it was just the patio . I remember sooo well. Love the expansion. I know there's more changes and new things to come as time progresses and we'll be here to see it :)

The wifi was fast though which was nice but they do have a limit with how long you can use their wifi (if i remember correctly i belive it was 2 hours. I got their key lime pie which was delicious and I also got the chicken pesto sando and that was really good too with a really generous portion. The key lime pie was definitely on the more expensive side (almost $10), but honestly it was really good and the flavor was super balanced between the cream, crust, and filling.Their coffee selection also looked really good, but unfortunately I wasn't able to try any this time. Street parking was easy to find and the service was nice, friendly, and fast!

The ambience was very nice and cozy. Many tables inside to more out back. They even have a stage area. I ordered a slice of apple that was so delicious warmed up. The apples were thinly sliced and were not overly sweet which I loved. My husband got a slice of cookie and cream which was so good. We also ordered a marion berry slice that I had never heard of but wanted to try. It was a little too tart for my taste but still not bad. I think the only thing I could critique was the coffee. I ordered a black coffee and it tasted a little burnt and not fresh. But I didn't make a big deal because I did go in like 40 minutes before closing time. I will be back maybe a little earlier to give coffee another try, also for another slice of pie.

Coffee and dreams make my mild depression disappear. Haha. Let's begin this cafe review…read more Pantheon Coffee is a modern and vibrant cafe house with a seating capacity of roughly 25-30 commoners. It's located in a tiny plaza on Fairfax avenue in WeHo. They offer some of the classic coffee and teas as well as speciality drinks. Furthermore, they have some delicious pasties from a famous bakery. PC's interior layout is very spacious with curated greek decor and abundance of natural light-thanks to its large windows. Atmosphere was very cozy as well as its chairs. I like that they have a piano and books and greek god marble statues. As a first time visitor, I ordered an Iced Apollo Latte and a warmed Chocolate Croissant. Both items, I truly enjoyed consuming like a demigod. Staff were affable and competent. Service was bloody spot on. Parking lot and street metered parking are available. Overall, I truly had a nice experience and enjoyed my latte and chocolate croissant.
