Our party of 4 families was on the lookout for family friendly lunch and were surprised to find Palio Pizzeria near our motel. We found a good variety of specialty vegetarian and seafood pizza pies. Their dough and marinara are vegan so a cheese less veggie pizza can make for a fulfilling vegan meal. I was looking for a personal size pie but their smallest pie is 14" so I took a pass. The antipasto was a disappointment; a few rolled up meats, some bland tomatoes with mozz, plain oil in a plastic take out cup, flavorless red peppers and boring olives. Let's start with the good: Our first time at this restaurant (ordered takeout) and really a pretty decent thin crust pizza. Could have done without the garlic salt though as it overwhelmed the pie. Now the not so good: The person behind the counter was clearly overwhelmed... I watched the orders pile up on top of the oven (including mine). I had already paid for my order and sat at the bar for a good 10-12 minutes in clear view before the counter person looked at my pizza and handed it to me. Minor gripes but could be run much more efficiently ($$) with greater attention to takeout customers that have already paid and are waiting. I will definitely give them another try. read more

My favorite pizza on the Cape! Sausage and mushroom and the Pollo chicken is what I ordered although I've had several others in the past. The ingredients are so fresh, sausage and meatballs are home made, love the sandwiches (chicken parm is my fave) and you have to try the arugula salad. I was pleasantly surprised with my delivery order... The pizza had a great taste to it I liked the chew to the dough and I actually ate the crust which is something I don't normally do. They were kind enough to add pepperoni to the pie which made it even more flavorful.. My only gripe was how thin it was... The pizza couldn't stand up on its own it was really flip floppy and that's why I removed a star... However I believe I will eat it again! It's better then some of the other grease pie places I've had around here... Maybe soon ill have a chance to stop in and try the sit down menu! read more

My family ordered delivery. We live about two blocks away. We ordered spaghetti, two subs, a slice of pizza and breadsticks. It took about an hour and 15 minutes to get to us. I even called and they said the driver was in the way when it took another 15 minutes to get here. It takes about 7 to walk there. My pizza was cold and the crust is always undercooked. The lady on the phone was super rude. And the guy who delivered acted like he didn't know what he was doing. I've never enjoyed going here and wasn't happy with the service yet again. This cozy little place has good pizza. I ordered a large quatro funghi pizza and Italian wedding soup. Everything tasted so good, all natural and healthy. The soup fresh and lots of indegents. the pizza crust are not thick either way to thin. I could tasted this pizza used tones of healthy indegents include the bread itself. I ate almost the entire pizza. Which is really do that but i did have few sices left.i never eat cold pizza and could not find anything to heat up my pizza. I came here for lunch with a few others from my Meetup group and overall, it was okay. I ordered a pepperoni slice with an angry orchard to wash it down. The service wasn't anything to write home about and neither was the pizza. It could have been hotter. Also, I asked someone who was giving another group their pizza if I could get parmesan cheese. He said yes but also looked like he was in a rush. I had a feeling that he wasn't going to get it for me (of course, he did in fact forget about me) so I walked up to the front and asked the cashier. That was slightly annoying. Also, why don't they have parmesan cheese on the tables? Great food, great service, great street side view. What else can one ask for? We tried this place with two tired kids and they did not disappoint. We had the artichoke, roasted pepper, garlic pizza while the kids had pesto pasta. Both dishes were good. We also had the red sangria which was refreshing for a September evening. Fantastic salad and brick oven pizza. Two of us shared an arugula salad, a margarita pizza, and a bottle of house red. The salad was fresh and tasty with a wonderful vinaigrette dressing. The pizza was absolutely amazing with a perfect crust, flavorful sauce, and the perfect amount of cheese and slivers of fresh basil. LOVE this place. LOVE the staff members, they are always so kind and helpful. The pizza is amazing, the pasta is amazing and the salad really good. Ok, I truly hate giving this place 2 stars, but 3 just seems too much because the pizza game is hardcore. Kindly take the advice of a new yorker: stop putting tomato slices on the pizza. It is NOT sauce; it is a vegetable. I didn't come here for salad. Massachusetts is horrendous with pizza and it's mind-boggling, they all just cook some slices of tomato on top instead of adding sauce, the most VITAL ingredient of a pizza. This tomato issue causes the pizza to be watery rather than saucy and flavorful. Although I strongly cautioned you to avoid main street during the summertime I make some exceptions, and palio pizza is totally worth it (along with mass bay down the road, great clothes and shoes!) this place does both whole pizzas and by the slice--even their specialty pizzas. The pizza crust is perfect (not too thick!) and its made fresh and there are salads for those of you who are carb conscience--if you are you're no friend of mine. Again, if the idea of over-crowded streets full of wandering tourists walking at a snails pace makes you uneasy, you'll want to take this tip. To avoid main st. take south st (just behind main) and take a left onto pearl st. (I thnik its called) and there is a parking lot on the left, just off main. You can park there and walk. One more plus: seating outside (and off to the corner) keeps you away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, yet still close to the road where you can easily poke fun at the outrageous outfits of the people passing by. read more
