The staff at the register are amazing and, frankly, the only reason this is a two star review instead of a one. The food is just ok, nothing to write home about, and I mostly go because it's convenient on my commute. Today I did my usual roast beef on asiago order and, for probably about the fifth time, they forgot to give me mayo packets on the side. I have always wanted to try their breakfast but refrained when conveniently nearby as this hearty breakfast kills any office productivity. Lunch was always good though -- from salads to wraps. Hello November 1, Halloween's Hangover Recovery Day on a day off. We had to take 95 northbound on this day off and Palm Beach Bagel is conveniently en route. I indulged in a Salmon Benedict. Delicious and large portion! This was the first time I've ever dined inside. The waitress was a lot of fun, joking at my friend when he asked for a regular bagel. She said what's regular is different for everybody. Regular everything bagel? Regular onion bagel? Food coma to follow to soak up that Halloween night hangover. My friend went with the Cuban Reuben which came with a side of macaroni salad. Fun times! I miss the memories when we worked nearby and regularly ordered takeout. They are very cheap due to substitutions. I had a breakfast where as I do not eat bacon or sausage. They would not substitute a piece of toast or a bagel for the meats. They used to do this before but I guess times have changed and as time goes on service degrades. Entropy. read more

But still a good place to go! Wish they used different syrup! Never been a fan of the log cabin syrup. Their omelette's are good. Pancakes are good. Everything I've tried is good. The Olive cream cheese spread was plentiful and had decent flavor. The Belgium waffle was RAW in the middle and soggy on the edges not crispy like a Belgium waffle should be. The scrambled eggs were nasty, the bacon was inedible and the potatoes were lukewarm. The server offered to take the waffle off our bill and returned to tell us that is was soggy because of the syrup, a soggy and undercooked waffle was not from syrup it's from not knowing how to cook! I saw this restaurant last week when I met a girlfriend at the ale house nearby. Heading north the other day, we decided to stop here and try it for lunch. They were pretty busy when we got there. The hostess was excellent. She had us sit anywhere and brought us menus. She also got us drinks -- first water. And later, when our waiter was no where to be found, she was nice enough to bring my husband some coffee. Frankly, she deserved a tip -- not our server. The food itself was decent. I had their soup and half sandwich. The cup of matza ball soup came hot; the matza ball was light and fluffy. The tuna salad was fine; I didn't really care for the rye bread as I like it crustier on the outside and softer inside. No big deal, I just didn't eat it. My husband got a bagel with lox cream cheese. They were out of rye bagels. It took 20 minutes for our waiter to let him know they were out and to choose a new one. My husband had to guess what other kinds they did have. In the middle of giving the waiter his order, the waiter walked away from him to another table! Bottom line: his onion bagel, (when he got it), he said was good as well as his cream cheese. When we tried to get the check, it was hard to track down the waiter -- I actually got up from the table to find him (it's a small place) and his answer to me was: well, I have your check somewhere. As I also wanted to look at their pastry and cookies, I went up to the counter while my husband waited for the check. And waited. And waited. After I chose a Chinese cookie (very good btw), I told the gal that my husband was still waiting for the check -- so she was nice enough for me to verbally tell her what we'd had and issue a new one. I have been coming here for years and always enjoyed my meal. Normally on a Sunday there would be a line , now half empty. New owners who raised the prices considerably, and lowered the quality. I had eggs with home fries that were cooked with cheap oil and left an after taste. They now charge $3.50 for coffee which was not hot and a bit weak. It cost me $13 for just eggs not including tip.
