I've been coming here, on and off for years. Last time there I said I was never coming back. I went again last Saturday because I was close by. First off, like last time, ther service is so slow. The one waitress who is nice, is basically by herself. After 20 minutes waiting, my order of an egg white omlette with a bagel was ordered. I was sitting on those old busted up broken purple benches which are uncomfortable and dirty. I almost broke my wrist when I tried to move over because my hand almost went right through the material with no cushion. The food came after about 50 minutes. It wasn't terrible, but I was aggravated, plus the place is filthy looking and old and needs a major renovation. I know their are new owners somewhat recently. $20 for a omlette just isn't worth it to me. I won't be going back anytime soon. read more

No warning on price change, I understand egg prices are crazy but I never saw a $4 up charge due to eggs and then not post anything except for a small sign at the register after the fact... other places post signs on the door and have only done 1-2$ but $4 is crazy. When I mentioned that the cashier said oh when prices change we have to change with it... when the prices go down below normal pricing do they drop price? I have to say I really do love Palm Beach Bagel. They are everything you want in a breakfast/brunch/lunch place. One of my favorite dishes to order here is their matzo brei. If you are a fan of this dish, order it here! It's delicious and made just right and it won't cost an arm and a leg like it does in other places! Another favorite of mine at Palm Beach Bagel is their salads. You can basically build your own and they are big, fresh and filling. I dare you to order one and finish it! They are that huge! They use the freshest of ingredients and you get it "your way" again, without spending an arm and a leg. Service is great here and the place is spotless. It is uncommon to get there and be seated immediately because they are just that popular! Their food and prices are great! But fear not! They are big enough and have enough tables that they turn over pretty quickly and you'll be seated soon after you get there. I don't think I ever waited even 10 minutes to be seated as some table is always finishing up! The only drawback is their closing time of 3PM. I think if they stayed open for dinner they'd be rocking with hungry customers coming through their door through the entire day!! Give them a try! read more

Food was basic. Didn't love or hate it. What was notable to me was how miserable everyone in there looked. Not a single smile or even a basic greeting when you walk in. I immediately decided to make my order to go because the vibe was so incredibly negative in the whole place. I even witnessed a waitress lashing out at a customer who (from what I could gather) made a comment about the bad service. The food is so underwhelming that it doesn't make it worth putting up with such a nasty attitude and negative environment. I went here for breakfast with a friend. First we sat outside but then it began to rain. So we moved inside and not under the a/vent. We both ordered the breakfast special-I had two eggs over easy, bagel to go with lettuce and tomato and of course coffee! My friend got a similar special with bacon. It is truly casual and that is a plus. They are taking Covid precautions which I e greenly important to me. Employees wearing masks as well as the guests. There is sanitizer around as well. My mother and I came to PB Bagel for a late breakfast at around 11:45am. They have a $5.99 3-egg breakfast special that ends at noon, which was exactly what we wanted. The place was slightly busy- atleast that's the impression that the server was giving, even though there were open tables and 3 servers on shift that I counted. We were greeted early on, but never had our drink order taken. We watched as a table sat down about 5-6 minutes after us and got drink orders put in by another server right away. We were starting to question why we were still waiting, as it quickly became after 12pm and we wanted the breakfast special. As I was searching for our server so that we could order, I heard her coming out of the kitchen area saying very loudly that "...if he doesn't shut up, I'm walking out of here". Lovely words to hear as we're waiting (im)patiently to get our order taken. Eventually we order, but because the breakfast special ended at noon we were told that there's no more oatmeal or grits. The server told me my only option was home fries or sliced tomatoes this time of day, of which I eat neither. I was resolved to getting what I could at that point, but as we waited for our food to come, we saw another server bring out 2 bowls of oatmeal. So clearly our server was lying to us, as I doubt the oatmeal was made to order for the guests who were sitting at a different table. This is when my mom and I got up and decided to leave without our breakfast. I was able to speak to the owner before we left, and she was apologetic, which was nice. I went here today because I had to go to the park up the street, Patch Reef Park. I brought my son up for basketball. I took a couple of spins around the park and then I went here to grab a sandwich. The place is so cute and so pretty. The two young ladies at the counter they were on point they were handling the line and all that like a NOSS! I had a smoothie and I had a bagel sandwich ( the boy got one too) and they didn't mind that I didn't even look at the menu. They were very helpful , courteous and said my name more than 4 times. Then, the disrespectful, unfriendly cashier who clearly doesn't know how to smile has the nerve to ask me to repeat myself with an AirPod in his ear! I have been here a couple of times in the past, and my experiences have been ok. Nothing bad, nothing great, simply a convenient deli to grab a bagel or lunch with my Dad not far from my office. Recently, I ended up going here because I was wanting to try some oats and grain pancakes that Open Kitchen Cafe had -- only to discover that they had been closed for a while (a completely vacant restaurant space). Therefore, with Palm Beach Bagel only two store fronts over, I decided to see if they had at least pancakes to satisfy my cheat cravings. Turns out, they do. Discovering they had honey whole wheat pancakes (and I'm on a whole wheat kick if I need to have gluten -- don't have an allergy, FYI), I gave them a go with chocolate chips. They were spot on. I did enjoy them for sure. Before I swore off bread in general, I did like their deli sandwiches as well, so there you go. Parking can be a little tenuous based on the amount of traffic that comes in from Yamato and back out, but usually you can find spots either in the front of the plaza, to the east side where Palm Beach Bagel is, or after PNC Bank. Service has always been friendly and prompt, never had a complaint. So if you work in the area or live close by, it's good spot to have breakfast or lunch for sure. read more

Palm Beach bagel is right by my job so we do go there from time to time for lunch. I usually get the sandwiches or matzoh ball soup which are always delicious. The service is hit or miss sometimes it's kind of slow but still in all we managed to get in and out with about an hour. this last occasion we ordered for delivery. I got a Cobb salad which was very good except it had avocado on it and I was so completely surprised that they decided to serve this to someone because the avocado was black! Gross! On My friends salad they forgot several of her toppings that she selected and they got some wrong like black beans instead of black olives. Last time they completely forgot her chicken salad! we don't have a problem But it was a bit disappointing this time and has been hit or miss the last several times. read more

I am updating my review and adding two well deserved stars. So far I have tried both the plain and onion bagels. Both times I called in my order and picked it up on my way to work. Both times I requested my bagel to be scooped and they were! The veggie cream cheese is very good. Both times my order was ready when I picked it up. The counter people are friendly and efficient. They don't overlook the little things, such as napkins! So many places "forget" to throw in napkins. I was craving soup for lunch and I remembered that Palm Beach Bagels delivers. I called and sure enough my office is in their delivery area. Yay! The Matzah Ball soup was delicious. They wrapped the cup in plastic to avoid spillage and the added crackers were a nice touch. I also created my own chopped salad. This is a great concept. Just pick your greens and add eight toppings for them to chop all up for you! My salad was fresh and really good. The Greek dressing is terrific too. My salad was large enough for two or three meals. Definitely sharable. When I ordered my lunch the man who took my order was very nice, in fact he was the one who suggested that I try the Greek dressing. I don't know his name, but thank you! We came here because the place next door was closed down. I would love to give this 4 stars because the food is good. Nice portions and tasty bagels. Service was good too. A pet peeve of mine is when I order a toasted bagel with butter and they bring cold hard butter on the side. By the time I could spread the butter, my bagel was not warm anymore. The restaurant needs a renovation. Decor is odd. Purple booths and lantern lights that had dead bugs. Ugh! Thank god we weren't sitting under one. Not upset but not impressed. Ordered a grilled veggie and hummus wrap to be delivered at work and it's pretty lame. It's just grilled veggies without and seasoning and a glob of hummus. I don't hate it though and it's not expensive. It comes with a choice of pasta salad, potato salad or a side salad. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there wasn't one. Finally someone came out and talked to me. No apology. Told me next time I couldn't eat at the table if I got takeout. They have salads and sandwiches as well as bagels but I always stick with the bagels. I have been here many times for breakfast. Every time I have been here we have had good service and the bagels have been fresh. They have a great location as well. After reading some reviews however, I don't know what to think. Don't like to read about people finding horseflies in their food although I know to take Yelp reviews with a grain of salt. However I can only speak to the couple of times I was here. That was awhile ago so quality may have gone down the tubes which does tend to happen at some places. All I know is they were around when we needed somewhere that was opened early to go for breakfast. Sometimes we'd want to start our day early or even when catching an early plane. I like their hours and I like their staff very much. I have never had an issue here. My favorite from them is their Onion Bagel. Now sometimes Bagels can taste awful. Not here. This place is awesome! It is always packed which is normally a positive indication of how good a restaurant is. Their delivery is very fast, and they have a large varied menu. I tried their eggs Benedict today and definitely was all I needed for a delicious start of my day. Big portion, full of flavor, I really liked it! If it wasn't for Lisa and the outstanding service she provided not only me but every single customer she dealt with I would have been a very unhappy customer when I left. The wait time for my order was ridiculously long. I went in on a very busy weekday morning so it's to be expected you'll run into long lines, ordering your food, waiting to be seated and picking up your to-go order. I went in for the latter. This was my first visit. I'd seen them a few times and from the looks of how busy they were, I wanted to make a visit. They were busy when I walked in and I had to figure out where to go to place my order. There wasn't an attendant to greet me. They could have been seating other diners. When I ordered, Lisa was very helpful, friendly, warm, welcoming, inviting, and about her business. It looked like she was handling 10 things at once and moving about so masterfully. It was a site to watch. My wait time had me on the edge. From what I could tell, people who came in after me were leaving before me. I didn't think my order was large nor complicated. I did my best to relax but it was hard to do while I was bobbing and weaving my way around to avoid being bumped into by people. It was annoying. The waiting area is towards the front of the store right next to the front door. It's very small and I think that little area is being asked too much. I couldn't take it anymore, after standing up for what felt like 15-20 minutes. My husband took my place. We eventually got our food along with an apology. My orange juice didn't make it in my order. There were no clear instructions given as to where I had to get my drink. I thought it was going to come from a fountain, I was wrong. If you order their freshly-squeezed orange juice remember to pick it up from the fridge on your way out. read more

Don't bother with Friday Broccoli cheddar soup. It looks like dishwater and does not have one whole broccoli florets in it, just broccoli mush. The house chopped salad has HUGE pieces of onion that need to be cut and overtake the whole salad. The tuna melt wrap is $13.00! Seriously. It's not even enough to have half today and half tomorrow. The coke slaw is always old, never fresh. Go to Publix for $7.00 for the same thing. My office eats there multiple times a week, I won't be ordering anything but breakfast and split pea soup from them ever again. Palm Beach Bagels is one of our favorite places for breakfast, due mainly to server Elise and owners Howie and Jill. Today we were served by James and were very pleased.
