Large, rich, and fudgey and best thing we ate. 5 stars - Key lime pie: one of the best and I've tried 15+. - Fluffy light texture with right amount of lime tang and bit of meringue up top. 5 stars - Short rib: standout savory item of the night. - Tender on the bone and savory gravy like sauce. 4.75 stars - Sushi: my friends shared a roll and said it was outstanding. 4.5 stars - Creme brulee: can get combo chocolate and vanilla minis 4 stars - Pork chop: tender and hefty slices. Said chimmichuri which was the reason why my friend ordered it but didn't see any. 4 stars - Rib eye: quality steak and cook. 4 stars - Snow crab claw: can order single medium or large sized. Simple with lemon. 4 stars - Chicken: roasted was good but smaller portion than expected. 4 stars - Mac and cheese: Gouda w cavatsppi corkscrews. Good flavor and not too creamy cheesey flavor was more baked into the noodles themselves. 4 stars - Fries: thin crispy. 3.5 stars - Burrata: hidden under a layer of prosciutto and a crostini underneath. 3 stars - Cocktails: pretty good. I got a coffee old fashioned and hub clarified rum punch which were quality sips. Midlights - Shrimp: was excited for the area special pinks but weren't anything outstanding. Soft rolls with cheese baked in on the top were good. 3 stars Lowlights - Cocktail timing: got them 1 by 1 and took a while before all 4 of us had ours before our meal.

The place was basically dead at around 630 pm. That should have been our first red flag. Their menu actually looks a lot better than the lighthouse grill, but ugh everything really sucked. I had the plantains with pink salsa. The plantains were stale and not crispy. The pink salsa was really delicious though and that's the only reason this place got the extra star from me. For $10, the portion size sucked honestly. Ragz and I shared the fish tacos. I opted for fried fish. The whole thing was silly. The taco shells were almost inedible corn that was so hard and chewy that we ended up eating just the filling. The fish was unidentifiable given how thick the breading was. There was not enough fish in each taco. Similarly there was not enough slaw, which seemed decent to eat. Overall a total waste of money ($26). Service was iffy at best. The server seemed nice to chat with but also seemed very new/ spaced out. Kept asking my husband to get another beer though he repeatedly said no. Gave us menus that looked like a shark ate them ( they were wet and chewed out). Forgot to get us any silverware or napkins. I'd honestly stay away from here. Not worth the time, money or calories.

Obviously the bar outside had a beautiful view and you can order to eat by the pool or have table service. The lavender pineapple drink was delicious and I had a few of those. I did enjoy the conch fritters. Kids enjoyed the pizza and tenders, burger was also pretty good. Just don't order the mariquitas (plantain chips) those were gross.

But it isn't a good restaurant, in any way. As several other reviewers have said, the service is terrible and the food isn't good. We were staying at the resort and came right when they opened for breakfast, but for whatever reason, they decided to help another larger group first, that arrived well after us. The larger group got their food and left before we even got our food. The servers largely ignored us the entire time, even though they were super attentive to other groups. I'm not sure what we did to bother the staff so much besides arriving right at 7 am, but the experience was terrible and we won't be back here even though we have a food credit through the resort. Not that it will do any good, but we will be reaching out to the hotel management because they clearly have a problem here. I don't think they care because they have a captive audience on the resort that is always new. If you're staying at the resort , this is not a place to actually eat a meal.

Ordered our coffees, where I had an omelette and sausage everyday. The wife would go back and forth with an avocado toast, or fruits. Our service was always great and we were well attended to. And it's not only the drink menu with its custom crafted cocktails, wines, beers & ciders that will wow you but the accompanying snacks and bites are just as divine. And bonus, it's not only a bar, but also a liquor store with an awesome selection of wines and spirits. This bar definitely has a locals vibe. It's small , dark and cozy and the small tables with velvet chairs are very welcoming. We loved it so much. We came back for a second night. We tried the Maria Rita, which was a reposado tequila with fresh lemon, lime, hibiscus, and habanero, perfect version of a margarita. We also tried blowing smoke up your glass, this was made with Papa Pilar, dark rum, pineapple, fresh lime, house made basil syrup & tiki bitters. Absolutely fabulous. We also tried their deviled eggs each topped with unique toppings like trout row, bacon, and scallions. They were absolutely fabulous. They also have a great selection of charcuterie, Key nuts which you can order with different flavor, profiles, caviar, olives & peppers. Also, the most generous happy hour I've ever heard of from 12 to 6 PM every day. Don't miss out on this little jewel when in Key West.
