This is a nice and hip coffee shop in downtown Livermore. My favorite is the dark chocolate mocha. The staff is friendly and the service is very fast. They also have some very good pastries. The bathrooms are locked so make sure you ask the staff for the code. The inside has lots of seating, I have removed one star because The Wi-Fi does not seem very stable for working. I was here most recently in October 2021. At this time the coffee shop was now open and people could come inside and sit. The coffee shop also has outdoor seating. With so many coffee shops to choose from it's impossible to have a favorite! When I'm in the area Panama Bay is my shop of choice! Cute coffee shop, modern rustic with large windows that open out towards the street. Plenty of indoor seating and they have live music on the weekends! I'm not positive it's every weekend but on occasion I've seen small local artists in there. There is a picture wall of all the baristas (in case your forget their names) wink wink.. I enjoy the coffee here my two faves are: Carmelita- iced caramel latte, I get it with almond milk, perfect amount of sweetness, medium roast coffee I wanna say but good balance of coffee and caramel flavors. My warm weather favorite ;) Golden latte- this has no espresso. I order mine with 2 shots espresso and with almond milk, hot. It's sooo good. Has tumeric and sweetened with honey. I've gotten this numerous times, my cold weather hot drink of choice ;) They also have cookies, muffins and pastries avail for purchase and they sell their own coffee and gear (cups, mugs, etc) Staff here is entertaining and super friendly! We got an iced americano and an iced latte when we stopped into Panama Bay, and those cold drinks were perfect for a hot day. The espresso was a little more bitter than I typically prefer, but it was still good. We sat inside while we drank our coffees, and I'm glad we did. While it was a little warm inside, especially after coming in from walking around 1st street on a 100 degree day, it has a great ambiance. Casual and cute- I felt like I could post up all day and work on my laptop and or sit down with a good book. And I'm fact there were people doing just that! They even had a shelf of books you could buy for a couple dollars that I think were from the local library. It had quite the variety of books! They had a menu of Alice in Wonderland themed drinks, and while I didn't try it at the time, I'd love to go back and try them or see what other themes they have in the future (and the chalk board art for those drinks was amazing!)! read more

My friends and I always go for coffee after lunch so we picked this place as it was near where we ate. Its a typical coffee spot with different coffees, teas and smoothy type drinks. They had various pastries available as well. The staff is friendly. A bit hippy. I had their iced soy chai latte. It was really tasty. A bit sweeter than Starbucks. My friends' lattes also seemed sweeter than Starbucks. Must be the coffee and flavorings they use. Overall nice drinks. The have some seats inside and outside. Came to the area for Dinner on Friday night. Walked passed this cute coffee shop and since I loveth my coffees I had to get something. I ordered the Iced White Mocha. Let me tell you. This Iced beverage tasted better then all of the other coffee brands. The drink had the perfect amount of espresso and was prepared with quality ingredients. As a coffee lover I'm pretty sure my 16oz was 85% milk 10%caramel sauce and 5% coffee. Usually a 16 oz requires a doubt shot of expresso or something but even after stirring it my drink is pale. So...I like this place (or maybe I should say "liked"), BUT I noticed something today that grossed me out. I saw the guy making my blended drink (white guy, small man bun) reach into a container using his bare hands to grab crushed coffee beans. He then sprinkled them into my drink before blending it. I love having coffee bits in my blended drink but whyyyy would he use his bare hands!? Why not a little spoon! I even saw him look back before he did it. I got the feeling he knew that wasn't the correct protocol. I went on the hunt for good coffee in Livermore & a place I could work! I was impressed with the amount of seating, good vibes & inspiring words on the walls! They do have plugs in the walls for charging! That's once thing I always look out for! I got what the Barista suggested which was the White Lavender Mocha, it was just okay. I didn't taste the lavender, it was kinda just milky. BUT the one thing that will stop me from coming here if I want to work on my computer is the WiFi--what should have taken me 20 minutes took 5 hours I was uploading photos & once I started I didn't want to stop & disrupt the upload. If I knew it would take 5 hours I would have left but I rode it out while slowly going insane hahaha. I happen to be in the Livermore area and was craving a coffee and scone so I decided to yelp keyword "scone" and came up with this jewel. I ordered a dirty chai, which was absolutely phenomenal and purchased the last of their three scones, (for the week lol) which I am so happy I did because the scones were absolutely delicious. The gal behind the desk ( I'm sorry I don't remember her name) is so cordial, such a sunny and positive disposition, explained to me that they make all of their baked goods there and invited me to taste one of their blueberry banana streusel muffins. I am not kidding when I say that this has got to be the most delicious muffin I have ever in my life tasted. So delicious, so moist and so fresh. I'll be craving these muffins for a long time and definitely will be stopping by next time. I am in Livermore. I've spent a significant amount of time at Panama Bay; my friends joke that I practically live there, and I don't deny it. One of the things that first caught my attention about Panama was the friendly atmosphere. It's family-friendly (with staff oftentimes offering kiddos stickers), pet-friendly (they keep a water bowl for customers' furry friends just in case), and generally welcoming, as people from all walks of life congregate here around the clock. It doesn't hurt that the reliable selection of coffee, tea, smoothies, and snacks is awesome too. They even have banana nut bread (with or without gluten) and zucchini bread made right in the shop! I have to go from SF to Vallejo to visit a client every week or two. The ferry is great and I generally grab a coffee from PBC before I get on the boat. (ferry is great, but ferry coffee is awful) and usually a muffin or something, since they are some of the best I've had. But it doesn't stop there. So, I've got 2 kids with Celiac, and it's a super pain in the butt to find food for them because even the tiniest bit of Gluten will set them off for days. And I mean, if you made batter dipped onion rings in a frier and then a week later made some french fries.... those fries would put them out of commission for a day. Anyway, turns out the muffins and cookies I was buying were actually gluten free. I was stunned, because usually the gluten free stuff sucks. Now, I buy out the entire top shelf when I go. Even better, it turns out they sell the mix they use for the muffins. They just put it in a coffee bag with a recipe on it. My daughter literally made banana bread last night, just so she could bring it to school to share with her friends. (cut it into little hearts for valentine's day) The people are nice. The coffee is great. (I'm either regular drip or espresso, depending on my time), and obviously, the cookies and muffins are awesome. I'd post some pictures, since I bought like 10 of them on Sunday..... but they're already gone. Having been to the #1 Rated Panama Red coffee shop in downtown Concord, I was anxious to try its sister shop in downtown Livermore. I was not disappointed. Arriving late on a Sunday morning, I loved the laid-back atmosphere surrounding this shop, lots of locals kicking back after a bike ride or morning outing. An impressive amount of outdoor seating is popular with groups for sitting around tables/benches and socializing. There's a good amount of indoor seating as well, nicely sequestered in a back room away from the ordering hubbub. If you like Starbucks Frappaccinos, try the Panama Red breezes: I'm a fan. And kudos for a unique set of flavors I haven't seen in other coffee shops. For example, I tried a Coconut Mocha Breeze and a Raspberry Mocha Breeze, both of which will appeal to sweet, flavored coffee fans. My wife was quite pleased with her Caramel Cinnamon Latte. Downtown Livermore and coffee shops are a nice mix. After relaxing for a while at an outside table, we took the remainder of our coffees and sauntered about downtown, looking in at anything that was appealing. A great way to while away the morning! This Panama Red was Livermore's first coffee shop; there's an interesting history on the wall to peruse while waiting for your coffee. All in all a winner! read more

Talking. Some eating. Some not. No masks. I wait through a line of several people. When I get to the register the cashier says "I don't serve people who aren't wearing a mask." Absolute hypocrisy. This is my favorite coffee and tea shop to come to in Livermore! All of the baristas that I've encountered are super friendly and helpful, especially Hana. Everything that I've had from here has tasted just right: hot chai, hot latte, snozberry smoothie, even the breakfast sandwiches. Perfect place to come to just enjoy a nice cup of coffee or spend your morning working on the computer. This was my favorite coffee shop in the whole Bay Area but the new employees that work there now just don't know how to make coffee anymore. Once a week we would get our Royal latte their and it would be way different. The last one had chai spice... which felt like your drinking black pepper and it wasn't even one of the ingredients for the drink... This has happen more than once where I drinks were made wrong. The house coffee taste like it's watered down also... I think the new employees need better training on how to make Panama Bay coffees.
