Looked up a coffee shop near by as I was running errands and I was pleasantly surprised. As someone who loves coffee and usually sticks with Starbucks this place was amazing. The coffee is the perfect amount of sweet and strong. I got the snickerdoodle latte and it's a 10/10. I also got the everything bagel with cream cheese and it was a little salty but over all really good. The staff was friendly and I was greeted hello as I entered. They were opened on July 4th, so that in itself already warranted a 5 star review. It was about 2:30pm in the afternoon, so bless them for still being opened and welcoming. It was easy to find along the main street in Downtown Livermore and right on the corner. There are indoor seats and a few outdoor seats. The space has great lighting, but probably best for 2-3 people and not groups. It reminds of Philz a little with the wall of Polaroids of their staff which was great since you could put a name to the face. The menu was a little more extensive that I had thought after a quick glance on Yelp, but I was genuinely surprised by the variety! A bit overwhelmed, I decided on their cold brew which was nutty and bold. The pleasant surprise was under their Island Vibes part of the menu - Bloody Waters. I thought it was just a tea/juice, but it is an natural energy drink with a bit of sparkle and honestly hit the spot on a warm day. Still dream about it - which makes me want to stop by for a visit again. It looked like their served food, but I wasn't too sure. There were pastries in the display case. Found this cafe while walking around downtown Livermore. My boyfriend and I ordered blended drinks, just different flavors. I got mine quickly and it was very good. However 15 plus minutes pass and my guy is still waiting on his drink. Customers who came in after us got their blended drinks and still we wait. He goes up to the counter and inquires if it was forgotten since again people just coming in were getting theirs and I had mine. The girl at the counter was beyond rude and snapped at him stating it wasn't forgotten, they hadn't made it yet. Now my boyfriend is a nice guy and didn't snap back, so he just waited another 5 minutes to get his simple blended Java breeze. I wanted to go Italian on her, but my guy avoids confrontation, so instead we left and just won't be back. Rude service and employees. read more

Only downside is the line can get pretty long and they sometimes get the wrong pastry because of it. But my drink is always right and delicious and they always fix any mistakes with a smile. I love the warm woods, industrial barista bar, and just homey, indy interior that's welcoming and cozy, and the baristas are always very friendly and helpful with suggestions. I typically pick something off the hot favorites menu and have yet to be disappointed, though the Carmelita is my favorite! My go to breakfast is a latte and a breakfast sandwich, which is what lead me here in the beginning. On top of excellent espresso beverages, they've got a small case of delicious morning pastries, and most importantly, the quintessential meat/egg/cheese/bread breakfast sandwich menu! Their bacon egg and cheese on croissant is especially good! We walked over to Panama! They had outdoor ordering and they had an area to sit outside, which was nice! The drink selection is big and there are some good choices! I was going to choose a smoothie for my son, but they told me they were out of bananas. Panama Bay is probably downtown's best coffee & tea spot. I did enjoy their Turkish coffee but it's texture was more of a drip without the grainy and thick roast that I'm used to when sipping Turkish coffee. My wife ordered their caramel-vanilla iced latte which was also good but nothing special. There is outdoor seating with a nice view directly towards the street. If you're in the area and wanting coffee, I totally recommend coming here. They have everything you'd want in a regular coffee shop and more. read more

Absolutely a treasure for fresh bakeries. I always wanted to find a place I can get fresh croissant and muffins and I found it! I didn't try their coffee but their bakeries are fantastic and fresh. Sadly, I have to update my last review for a worse rating. The last year or two, every time I've been here, the drinks have been so terribly made. There are many delicious sounding options on the menu, but the result is just coffee that goes in the trash. The most logical explanation I have is that the baristas are not experienced or properly trained. Additionally, but less important to me, their wifi is not reliable, so although it looks like a nice working space, it's not a viable one. With great potential came great disappointment. I love Panama Coffee. The coffee speaks for itself. I always get a Vanilla Latte with Almond Milk.And the sausage cheddar and egg sandwich is better and fresher than starbucks. The gluten free banana nut muffin is the best banana nut muffin ever. Most days they are busy but it's worth it! We are regulars of this favorite downtown coffee shop. I don't love the fact that they allow dogs inside. On Friday, March 15, we observed baristas give a dog pats and scratches and then go back to handling food and coffee orders without hand-washing. Also, a small accident by dog was left with just a 'wet floor' sign over puddle. On a previous occasion, dog owner left dog to wander around the shop without being restrained while owner was in restroom. We love the coffee, ambiance and friendliness of this local shop, including the large patio where dog owners can enjoy their coffee with their pets.
